When I was in Iraq, that show was huge. I never watched it. But I tell you from the bottom of my heart that I hate that show with all of my being. Some dude in the room next to me watched it all day and all night. But back then we only had DVds. So this dude would put a dvd on and then fall asleep. Then it would go back to the menu and just loop the theme song to the show. All night I’d have to listen to that theme song while that mother lover would sleep. Those walls were paper thin too. Id go knock on his door and tell him to turn it off but since I woke him up he’d just hit play. Two hours later and we are doing it all over again. About 9 months into my tour they moved me to a different room and it was the best thing that happened to me. My new roommate would cover his whole body in cocoa butter and stunk up the room but it was 1000x better than that stupid song.

firstly, this is likely me oddly adhering to toxic masculinity stereotypes - but while I'm absolutely down with men grooming themselves as they see fit for some reason the military is not where i would expect to hear of someone going hard with the cocoa butter and shea treatment

secondly, was your old service mate from california? right down the 101, trying to get back where he started from?

thirdly, while not having watched the show yourself but subject to endless hours of it, have you absorbed enough through osmosis to say that you've seen it by now?

Cole always has been good, but Vince really handicapped him by making him parrot constantly. Now he does not have to repeat everything being said on the earpiece, he is really shining.

Popped so hard when I saw this. Came to The OC late but was an avid viewer the last two or three seasons. Me and the girls sitting around discussing the latest adventures of Seth, Ryan, Marissa, and Summer while our guy friends stood in the background rolling their eyes and shaking their heads....good times!

Same reason he got my first vote.  Lieberman wanted to ban video games, Tipper tried to ban music.  Gore I had no problem with but did not want the other near the White House.  

Second vote was I knew Dems have no taste for war, and with so many friends over there, wanted to make sure they were funded and supported.  I liked Kerry, but did not want to see anything drastic done until my friends were out of the warzone.  And Dems were pushing to pull everyone out of Iraq, and we seen repeatedly that people get left behind with fast pullouts.

Don't know why wrestlers think other wrestlers don't watch the show. Even if Jey didn't over hear the conversation. I am sure Rikishi probably watches since he sons are on it. And could easily call and say KO is talking to Sami outside your door you might want to do something about that.

So that is why the UUDD number one contender match was done with Beyblade.

I ended up really liking Bush. He seems like a very down to earth kind of guy. I think he had a lot of war machine people on his staff who were going to make a fortune off war and got him into a really bad situation. And he isn’t innocent. But the work he has done for veterans post Oval Office has helped me really legit like the guy.

Bush did a lot of good things after he left office.  What I admire the most is when Obama won, him bringing in Obama before his term even started to start work on the recession, even though politically he did not agree at all with what was being done.  Then he keep ties with them and did the tours with Clinton.  As politics got uglier and partisanship grew, he moved to the center and stood there.  He could have cashed in with the new right, but he instead withdrew and just did his own thing outside of politics.

I live in a deep blue state. My mom is a lifelong Dem (albeit an idiosyncratic one who votes R sometimes) and my dad was one of those apolitical "all politicians are crooks" pduh types up until a few years ago. I actually wrote a super long post chronicling my political history for 🤯 about a month ago but ended up losing it. Shrugged and went back to full time wrestling posting.
