A very watchable wild card weekend provided some surprisingly close games, but no major upsets, which has left us with an excellent looking slate of games on the best weekend of the year for football fans. We've got the five , mixed in with three other teams that are playing their best at just the right time The Jaguars will feel like they're playing with house money against the Chiefs after their huge comeback win to eliminate the Chargers. The line here is a very understandable 8.5 but Jacksonville are now battle tested having played two win or go home games while KC have been effectively idle. Both of these teams have inconsistent pass rushes that have the ability to really turn it up on occasion, whoever is able to get after the opposing quarterback could make all the difference. The Eagles and Giants will face each other for the third time in six weeks, with Big Blue hoping to avoid yet another loss to their division rivals. Philadelphia has dominated the recent history winning 11 of the last 13, but there are some things NYG can look at optimistically, they played Philly reasonably close in Week 18 despite sitting the majority of their starters, and when the Eagles blew them out in Week 14, they were without a number of key personnel on defence who are now available again. Buffalo and Cincinnati meeting in the playoffs seemed written in the stars since their MNF contest was abandoned in devastating circumstances a couple of weeks ago. Damar Hamlin has been back at the Bills facility this week, and his presence will obviously be a big boost to Buffalo's morale. Both teams might have suffered a big of a confidence dip despite winning last weekend, Josh Allen played one of his sloppiest games of the season, while Cincinnati took some further hits to their offensive line which has now re-emerged as a potential Achilles heel. The final game of the weekend is Dallas against San Francisco. The iconic rivalry of the 90s is starting to be reborn with these teams meeting for the second straight season in the playoffs. Last year it was a classic LOL Cowboys moment with Dallas horrendously mismanaging the clock and running out of time on the final possession. They'll be hoping for a cleaner performance similar to the one they were able to put out to eliminate Tampa Bay. It'll be a lot tougher against San Francisco who are firing on all cylinders, riding an 11 game win streak and adding Deebo Samuel back to their offensive weaponry to devastating effect against Seattle.

Honestly, the Chiefs “should” win this game but TREVOR LAWRENCE IS UNDEFEATED ON SATURDAYS! That’s some scary shit. That Jags team never gives up and I feel the Chiefs tend to slow down in the second half at times. I think they also struggle to cover a lot. That could be a recipe for disaster. I’m still going to ride with the best player in the world Patrick Mahomes and say Chiefs win 35-27. Andy Reid is unstoppable after a BYE, right?
I really think the Giants can pull it off. I might just be suffering from living in NY and hearing all the positive noise out here. The Eagles thrive off of disrespect and all this hype the Giants are getting is pretty disrespectful considering the Eagles beat them both times this season. Still, it’s feeling magical with the Giants and Jalen Hurts is not 100%. They gave the Eagles a run for their money with their backups the other week and it reminds me of the way they played the Patriots in their undefeated season and then beat them in the Super Bowl. So give me the Giants on a GW FG by Gano as time expires. Giants to win 20-17.
The game the whole world is waiting for is Buffalo and Cincinnati and I have an admission. I love Joe Burrow. He’s almost side by side with Patrick Mahomes for me right now. I have this feeling that the real Super Bowl will be SF/Cincy with the Bengals losing back to back years. So even if it’s not what I’m rooting for, it’s what I’m picking this week. The Bengals were about to dominate the Bills on Monday Night so I just think they’re the better team. Josh Allen keeps it close, but he turns it over and Joe Burrow does not. Bengals to win 31-24.
The stars will be out for that Cowboys/49ers game and I think we get a good one. Especially in the first half. I think the Cowboys actually go into the half up by a touchdown, but never score another point in the second half. The 49ers go back into DEATH MODE and shut another opponent out in the second half. When it looks like Dallas might score, Maher misses a FG. Next possession, Dak throws an interception. The wheels come off and San Francisco wins by double digits and continue to look unstoppable. 49ers win 34-17.
Sorry Atlanta. Give me Mahomes vs Burrow and David vs Goliath.

I’m not super confident after last week’s shit show but if I know a thing or two about the Bills, it’s that they show up for good teams and are possibly the best “bounce back” team in the league. Injuries and an ugly game against Miami early in the season? Beat Baltimore the following week anyway and murder the Steelers after that. Allen struggles against the Jets & Vikings? Bills win their next 9 games.
It’s going to be a good game and a hard one to call but nobody should write off Buffalo with how banged up Cincy’s O line is. Oliver & Milano are gonna eat. Burrow is solid but is he as good under pressure as Allen?
Obviously anything short of the Super Bowl is a disappointment for Buffalo but the AFC is unreal right now and you just have to minimize mistakes and leave it all on the field. If they do that, I’m happy and there’s no reason they don’t go back to the AFC Championship game.

Burrow is solid but is he as good under pressure as Allen? Passer rating under pressure this season after Week 17 this season (couldn't find a later stat for it) was Burrow 94.5, Allen 94.2

Was curious, and I believe that Patrick Mahomes is 8-0 after a bye week.
Edit: Whoops, didn’t count Super Bowls, so 9-1

Jags are dead in this game if they don’t get Etienne heavily involved. Good first play from him but the Chiefs are all over Lawrence.

Travis Kelce first TD scorer. ✅
Need him to score twice and KC to win by 8 or more to hit another parlay.

Jags need to keep their confidence and their heads up here. They’re playing some ok defense and they just need to hope Mahomes plateaus a bit.

Sometimes you can turn your ankle and it feels like hell on earth and in half an hour it’s ok. He can ice it, strap it up, get through the game and see how the swelling is tomorrow. This is a moot point if he’s really sprained it - he’ll have to come off.
