Find it hilarious that the PPV date for Forbidden Door 2 is still a thing that is being advertised, and Tony did not announce it. Reddit screaming the kid to be banned, but Spectrum still has the date up. Also appears Power Slap already cancelled. Probably because the fighters were some of the worst examples of humanity and don't make for interesting tv. The only interesting matches if someone get knockout otherwise the match is boring and when that does happen it is probably more damage to their brains. Half the fighters are already injured because it is a stupid sport.

Tony Khan should have lent Dana White The Young Bucks to teach those neanderthals how to thigh slap for maximum effect.

Actually was a good show. Yuta vs Orange was amazing, tag battle royale was fun with Jarrett getting the win, Sayara hit her new brutal submission in the women's match and Uno did a crazy blade job in the main event.
I was happy with it.

This is the second week of watching Dynamite weekly rather than bootlegging segments.
- Wheeler Yuta may look like a dork, but that was a damn good match with Orange Cassidy. I never really " got " Cassidy, but I'm slowly easing up on him. Either way, easily a PPV level match by any standards.
- The Acclaimed, I've always liked. Too bad they had a match with Big Cass in it, but it was a perfectly acceptable match, good enough.
- If Bray Wyatt is the king of incoherent bullshit, MJF is the king of cringe. Fuck, some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is awful. But he delivers the terrible dialogue with enough conviction to suggest he's smart enough to know it's cringy as shit, but it works. Danielson delivery that forearm was great.
- Botchamania is running wild, it's Paige here. I could care less. The Botchy Blue Blazer I know exclusively from an instagram account called " the giggity of wrestling " and that's about it. Below average.
- TK forgot his big boy pants and needed Adam Cole to make this underwhelming announcement.
- I guess TK ran out of ideas or his ADHD was accelerated by some bad coke and he threw every member of the roster at the booking wall.
- The House of Black hopefully murders The Elite. That should be a good match.
- Jon Moxley found a guy in worse physical condition than he is. If you've ever wondered what a fight looks like between 2 plumbers on an Australian building site, this is it. Moxley sucks.

Some jobber bleeding is not a selling point.
Neither is a random Moxley match where everyone bleeds and Moxley wins. We've seen that 500 times in the past 6 months. The trouble with booking all these "amazing" matches week after week is that it's a great way for me to get sick of wrestlers. I don't even want to watch Danielson matches any more. One of my favourite wrestlers ever. That is quite the negative achievement. We can throw shade at Reigns and Lesnar never showing up for work - there's a good reason for that. They're special and should be presented as rare, special attractions.
What does sell me is nath giving his stamp of approval to a match. If nath acknowledges that something in AEW is good, it must be good. Yuta vs Orange completely skippable until I read that.
I didn't even know Saraya was wrestling but that intrigues me.
Nath is on point with MJF. Most of his promos are pretty cringe in content but the delivery is strong enough to make it passable.
Not sure about the Moxley appearance comment though. Muscle definition isn't the be-all end-all. He looks a lot more rugged and tough than Sami Zayn for instance.

Since Archer isn't really using his theme they should remix and switch out the word dies for bleeds then give it to Mox. The card looked awful on paper and really the only thing to go out your way to see was the opening match. Everything else was easily missable.
Something I did notice is Saraya apparently she got implants over the past few years. Didn't notice it until last night.

Evil Uno got a standing O last night after the show went off the air. Apparently the whole crowd did the Dark Order hand pose with him too. Would be cool if it gets posted somewhere. I’d like to see that.
Also someone at the show commented that everyone should go out of their way to watch Powerhouse Hobbs’ match on Elevation this Monday. He was over as fuck.
Betting whoever wins between Joe & Wardlow are going to have to answer to him.

Uno may be a jobber to some, but for others, he is a long time indy mainstay that we been following for 15+ years, and just an awesome dude. If all you care about is rating or stars sure skip it. But some of us do chat with Uno regularly so it was great to see him in the mainevent doing an epic bladejob.

It's great for Evil Uno fans to celebrate him being in the main event against top talent, but it's odd that you hyperfixate on his blade job as the standout of the match, like it's some outstanding achievement. Was the match actually entertaining or was it only memorable because of blood and gore?

It was entertaining because of the beatdown Mox gave him, and then Hangman coming out afterwards. If I was not entertained I would not be talking about it. Sometimes all it takes is one little thing to make a segment. In this case, Uno gushing blood everywhere was that. Maybe not everyone liked it, but Uno fans certainly did.

What does sell me is nath giving his stamp of approval to a match. If nath acknowledges that something in AEW is good, it must be good. Yuta vs Orange completely skippable until I read that. The match flowed well, Claudio made meaningful impact on the match, changing the tone and how Yuta worked. There was a sense of urgency and they told a good story. There were also some nice details in the mat and ground work and in attempting the pin combinations. Cassidy was sitting on Yuta pulling the legs back for the pin, and crossed them for slightly more leverage. Later Yuta made a point to force Cassidy's head down/under his body on a roll pin transition. It wasn't a big deal, but spots like this can easily end up looking like " SDvRAW cruiserweight combo #248 " very easily if there isn't any attempt to mask the choreograph nature of the spot. As I've said before, there's barely any middle ground in AEW. There's guys who are fantastic workers, then there's guys who are terrible - whether that's the work, the presentation, the character, etc. And I think that's my entire gripe with AEW, as a whole they either deliver fantastic segments or just pure garbage. Not sure about the Moxley appearance comment though. Muscle definition isn't the be-all end-all. He looks a lot more rugged and tough than Sami Zayn for instance. Two very different characters and presentation. If Sami put on 30lbs of muscle tomorrow, the underdog notion ceases to exist. In contrast as a heel, he's a scavenger. It works with his character. As Michael Cole said in regards to beating Reigns " is it probable? No.. " if Sami looked a million bucks the entire psychology of the match at Elimination Chamber changes as a result. Mox is the number 1 fighting machine in AEW, and looks like he lifts more pumpkin pies and $5 milkshakes than sees a gym. He's big, he's got muscle, but from an outsider perspective he's a hard-sell as the top bloke in AEW. But, I'd suggest it's the closest thing TK has to an " ECW guy " to play with, hence the presentation and heavy blading.

They worked the matched like a CHIKARA match for a lot of it. I wish that would be the style Tony showcased as that was how Quack took a fed full of no name guys with cartoon gimmicks and made it a success. The guys all worked their asses off and there was a core style that only was found in that fed. WWE does the thing with the WWE style that they train everyone in now these days.
But Tony wants to be RoH, CZW, ECW, WWE and other shit all at once, which means you will have style clashes and shit that just does not work in the ring as everyone works a different style. You can still make things worth with great stories, but lets face it, AEW does not go more than two good stories at any given time. They need a creative team so badly.

Sometimes all it takes is one little thing to make a segment. In this case, Uno gushing blood everywhere was that. Maybe not everyone liked it, but Uno fans certainly did. OK that actually makes sense, thanks for explaining. I was cynical about the blood because Mox randomly bleeds in every match for no reason and it adds nothing. From what you're saying Uno bleeding played strongly into the psychology of the match, and made it special, so now I understand why you are emphasising it. Without that context it just felt like "YAY BLOOD". Two very different characters and presentation. If Sami put on 30lbs of muscle tomorrow, the underdog notion ceases to exist. In contrast as a heel, he's a scavenger. It works with his character. As Michael Cole said in regards to beating Reigns " is it probable? No.. But, I'd suggest it's the closest thing TK has to an " ECW guy " to play with, hence the presentation and heavy blading. I see where you're coming from but I still kinda disagree. As much as I love Sami Zayn and the Bloodline angle, his look was a really tough sell when putting him against Reigns. Underdog is one thing but given how scrawny he is I was struggling to believe Reigns wouldn't just roll over him and pin him in 5 seconds. But to be fair, they made it work well. Zayn's offense was strong, not a single eye roll in their match. Just like Zayn can overcome his look, Moxley's matches convince me he's a fighting machine despite not being the most visibly muscular. Could he look better? Sure. But he don't look bad at all. He's clearly in shape, while you're describing him as obese.

Yeah Uno bleed because Mox was breaking him at ringside, then choked him out in the ring while the blood rushed out. I deathmatches where Mox did not look as brutal as he did last night. Crowd also went nuts after the show for Uno, which is not very common as Uno always was really a mid card guy who puts over others, and rarely got much praise himself.
Also Mox is likely not blading in most matches. After all the deathmatches and former bladejobs, I bet hit him hard in the forehead and he just bleeds now. This was the old trick of bleeding hardway, after enough blade jobs, one strong hit and the skin breaks. Problem of course, is if this is the case, Mox may not be able to return to WWE. See this too in MMA guys who get eye cuts. Get too many and your career is over as the tissue is too easy to reopen.

What is interesting is Jason Sarlanis, president of Turner Networks, claims they average 4 million viewers a night. What is funny is dirt sheets claiming he is wrong. Remember, in the US, for publicly traded companies it is illegal to lie about these things as it is negligent misrepresentation to the shareholders. Musk was recently sued for it over claiming Tesla could afford to go private.
And those ratings show one thing clearly. UNO IS A DRAW!!! JJ too!!!

They made a similar claim a few months ago in one of their promos. It of course was met with " WTF? "
4 million may be the money loses on each show.
TK's " big " announcement was the likely reason people tuned in.

That was not AEW making the comment but the president of the network. And again, anyone wants to try to prove otherwise, there is cash on the line as WBD is a publicly traded company and a patently false statement from the president makes him liable for damages if that statement can be disproven.

Even Meltzer has doubts over the figure.
There probably is some legitimacy but they're probably referring to one episode and it was the total number of viewers, so if you flicked onto the channel as Dynamite was playing you were one of the four million fans who watched Dynamite.
