Am curious if MJF is even in this movie anymore. Heard there were deep cuts and his role role got removed. Like an hour got cut early removing Lance Von Erich and Chris Von Erich almost entirely.

Related to the AEW is gonna be kicked off WBD nonsense, Tony met with WBD yesterday about expanding their partnership. Of course people are mad Tony will not leak the details of the meeting personally to the press like WWE people love to do.

Regardless, my dude, I’m not proclaiming that WWE is a lock for WBD. But there’s been smoke there for a few months, and I don’t believe (though let me know if I’m wrong) that WBD has come out and declined and said they’re 100% committed to AEW.

Despite your efforts to imply otherwise, it’s not a non-story.

I'll be sad if MJF is cut from the movie. Was kind of looking forward to seeing what he can do on the big screen. Even though his role was minor, so was The Rock's in Be Cool and look how that turned out.

The Von Erichs are also appearing on Dynamite tonight, if anyone cares.

Cutting Chris von Erich out of the movie is just freaking weird. Like MJF could be cut, but cutting an actual family member for time is just strange.

I assume a director's cut comes out. This all feels like it was a change from a streaming format to a theater format.

Cena was there, Baron Corbin was there. Liv Morgan was there " supporting MJf " which raises more questions. All three were in photos with MJF.

But, it raised a few eyebrows on social media. Where were the AEW guys?

The AEW guys were there with the WWE guys. Not sure why you are trying to make this a story. Liv was with MJF and Perry and Tara and John were with Cena.  There were more AEW people there than WWE people.

WWE is not promoting the films, AEW is.  So like again, this all made no sense at all.

My two thoughts looking at this photo:

- Cena is not a very tall guy, and he’s lost 50 lbs of muscle, and yet he just absolutely dwarfs MJF. That truly surprises me. Cena is about 6’ (on a good day), and I’d legitimately bought into MJF at 5’9”. Obviously I was way wrong.

- Cena is turning into Vince McMahon.

Here's a photo of Johnny Wrestling and Cena, I'd put Johnny no taller than 5'7" and I'd suggest MJF had got Gargano by a few inches.

Cena is *maybe* 6’. MJF looks 4-5 inches shorter.

Gargano is like 5’5”, at most. He’s so tiny.

Reports are that Punk being back on Raw ignited interested from all parties into signing Raw to a contract, and that WDB now wants to drop AEW for Raw to get Punk back on their network.  Attitude is that Punk has the single largest appeal of any WWE star to non-fans. moreso than Rock or Cena.

I really do hope this is all actually true though, as it just means FX ends up picking up AEW instead and AEW gets a streaming deal with Hulu/Disney.

Another rumor is WBD will move AEW to the Discovery channel only, and have WWE on TNT.  Which makes no sense when you could just move AEW to TBS and WWE on TNT.

I still disagree with your stance on rank vs ratings/viewership. I think that falsely paints the picture AEW and WWE are 1A/1B. Also highlighted when you said Disney would default to AEW if they don’t get WWE. These networks aren’t looking for “wrestling” as a generic concept. The WWE has become the “Kleenex” of the industry. It’s *the* brand. That’s important, and I would be willing to be the ad rates echo that.

I want AEW to do well. I really do, despite my negativity in this thread. But I have such little confidence in that brand four years in, and I’m not going to support it because I want an alternative. It has to earn my money and attention.

Most of the argument is moot anyway, for this all to happen, it starts with an assumption that WBD will drop NBA for Raw. And sorry, Punk is not bigger than Basketball.

The money to get Raw would come from canceling NBA. That is the issue, not the night.
