AEW have banned wrestlers from a handful of things, including:

-chairshots to the head
-any shot to the back of the head
-buckle bombs
-seizure sells
-crowd interactions that are not “going into it”

Those last two definitely are the result of Danielson’s poor choice at Forbidden Door and MJF throwing that drink at a kid that ended up having alcohol in it.

Likely these are due to ongoing talks with WBD. Looking like a deal will be announced in the coming months, maybe sooner.

The new AEW rules I am guessing are bullshit. Too much is in smark terms, and not backstage terms. Also moves are called by the WWE/WCW names and not by common names or the names that the guys who use them on the roster actually call them.

The biggest tells though are the absence of fire and glass being banned. Two things AEW used in the past, that are simply not cool to just pull out without telling people. Ditto for razors and gusset plates. Not even forks were listed but they listed all the common WWE weapons even if they are not used in AEW.

But the largest tell is moves on the ring apron are banned. Smarks call the area outside of the ropes the ring apron. Backstage the ring apron is what covers the mats in the ring. Banning moves on the apron means they simply cannot wrestle in the ring, or need to cut the apron off at the start of the show. Also it is very unlikely things are explicitly banned, and allowed with agent approval, as injury spots now are.

Well that and banning a whole bunch of finishing moves, by calling them their WWE/WCW names and not like the names that the guys in the fed using them call them. Meanwhile no ban on working stiff which hurts people far more than a lucha guys flying around. According to these rules cannot do a 630 but can nail a hanson lariat.

I so love the timing on this though, as at blood and guts they plan to break almost every rule on that list in a single match.

Like the guys did get a memo banning shit like bleeding in the crowd, using gimmicks without approval and liability related shit, but the list being reported by Fightful is not it.  And all feds generally have the list of rules, but writing them down finally is a good idea when you work with outside talent.  This list as reported though, bans high fiving or fist bumping fans on the way to the ring.  The lawyer who likely wrote this would not make that mistake.

I've been to that airport 100 times. It's literally one big room with an escalator, a handful of gates, and a Tim Horton's. How the fuck do you get lost?

That makes the final segment make more sense because BCC losing a number advantage fight made them look a little weak.

Yeah Ibushi's twitter is hilarious.  He is posting a lot about getting lost.  I suspect these are all related to times he could not be there to save Omega.

Saw this.  Really crazy he got a win, given how technical these matches are.  These guys run the "MMA" in my area and the no-gi matches are all point based.  Like get a point for going to dom position for second, point for takedown, point for submission attempt, etc, with reversals negating the points the move would have earned.  Given he is not really a NAGA fighter, either he just dominated an unprepared field, or is a far, far better wrestler / BJJ guy than anyone realized.

And bleeding means you are done for the day, so nope, Mox could not have won and bleed.

For those who never seen NAGA shit, here is what it looks like.  Assume Mox was fighting as a heavyweight or superweight so this is what the division looks like.

So QT and Penta do a hardcore match, big Match Kenny and Vikingo beat the shit out of each other, and it is Don Callis in the hospital after TripleMania. 3:00 on the video below. That is a shoot brother. Callis forgot wrestling is still very real in Mexico.  After Takashita attacks Kenny and fan jumps in to even the odds are FUCKS UP Callis.  Reports are he has a labyrinthine concussion in his ear, and could lose his hearing.  Also was bleeding from the mouth when they got the fan off.  Looks like some fans also got punches in on Kenny.

But the Tiger Driver 91 Kenny took was the real dangerous spot.

Not really surprising news but RUSH has signed an exclusive contract with AEW. He posted the signing with Tony on his twitter.

Given RUSH’s history in Mexico, I’m happy to see him thriving on a bigger stage. I was worried he would let his ego get the best of him but so far he has been a great addition.

Damn, Tony got Rush easily it seems.  Basically he was the only one who gave a shit about Rush out of the ring it appears.  Their loss, Rush is one of the best in the world right now, and very, very undervalued.  

Tony may be a wrestling nerd, but that love of the wrestlers themselves does give him an advantage when it comes to signing people.

Love it. One of my favourite moments this year was RUSH stomping the jungle out of Jack Perry.

Now he will be consistently here should get LFI in full force. While WWE took Dragon Lee, Dralístico is still a free agent that hopefully can he signed or used. Then if Andrade flakes out LFI can go on without him.
