I’m genuinely suspicious of Dave. Is he involved, or is his pride just attached to the success of this company? I lean toward the latter but I wouldn’t rule anything out.

The number of homes thing is so disingenuous. TBS has far more viewers than the CW. No one watches anything on the CW. It’s amazing NXT gets what it gets. And the fact that he sought to mention the 9% homes (9%! 😂) over the fact that NXT had changed day, tells you all you need to know. If Dave wasn't such a tool he could have just pointed out the fact that we can assume about 100k people that watch both Dynamite and NXT, prefer NXT, and prioritized that show.

If he wanted to spin a positive out of it he could have said that Dynamite only losing about 100k viewers on recent averages is good! Means most people that watch Dynamite currently prefer that show and will always be there.

Why am I better at Dave's job than he is? Come on bro.

I think he is trying something different with more intense storylines but they just haven’t executed as well as one would hope.

And for the empty seats, they know they could sell out smaller buildings but they choose not to for logistical reasons. I don’t agree with it but it isn’t my company and WBD doesn’t seem to give a shit so whatever. I’m past it.

Jericho at least gets paid handsomely and gets booker rights with TK and Shad. Would not surprise me if Jericho interviews for the soon to be vacant Jaguars HC gig if I am being honest.

Possibly interesting news: fans posted on the AEW subreddit this morning that Collision at Nationwide Arena on Dec 7th was canceled. Now Fightful is reporting that the show is still happening in Columbus but an "interesting venue opportunity" came up and that the show will be happening there instead.

Unless they are planning on going to OSU and run the Schottenstein Center I don't really know what else "interesting" there is in Columbus. Maybe a smaller unique venue that used to run wrestling shows back in the day? I dunno.

EDIT: Dynamite was at the Schottenstein Center when they first ran Columbus. And apparently the venue will be available because OSU will either be done playing or be in the Big 10 Championship game in Indianapolis if they make it that far.

Someone responded to SRS on twitter and asked if this was good or bad news and he said "a very good thing." Guess we'll see.

Update: the Dec 7th Collision is now taking place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center as part of GalaxyCon.

Interesting tidbit: one of the people attending GalaxyCon for meet n greets that weekend is Sting.

“Speedball” Mike Bailey is AEW bound. Not confirmed if he is an official signing yet but rumour has it he will debut in the C2.

He’s the next breakout star for sure. I assume this is a free agent signing considering how TNA is working with NXT these days. They wouldn’t loan talent to AEW or the WWE would get poopy pants.

Looks like Hammerstein Ballroom is a go. WWE tried to book it to piggyback off the success of NXT 2300 and were told no because the date they wanted was too close to AEW who have already booked the venue.

No dates announced but it’s either going to be December or early next year from the sounds of it. Rumours were swirling it was happening the week of Dec 15th potentially doing multiple shows there (and ROH Final Battle). Should be fun!

In other news, the rumours of AEW running smaller venues appears to be true, at least in the coming months.

A run of shows was announced and they will be doing smaller places in December and January, including Hammerstein the week before Christmas. ROH Final Battle will be there on the 20th, Collision will be there the 21st, then they will be taping Dynamite that will air on Christmas Day.

They’ll be running small venues in Georgia, NC, Alabama, Texas and Arizona from Jan - March then Revolution will be at the Crypto.com Arena in LA on March 9th.

I’m excited to see the difference in live crowds on TV. This is a long time coming. Apparently Alvarez said the main reason they couldn’t run smaller places was because their rigging wouldn’t fit, and they have adjusted it now so it will. It took longer than anticipated. Maybe we see a bit of a different setup too?

There’s finally gonna be a championship celebration for Mariah May at Full Gear.

If Toni doesn’t come back here, then perhaps at Grand Slam.
