Pillman is pretty generic in the ring and he sucks on the mic, which is a shame because that was his dad's biggest strength. But those are things he can easily improve on and if he goes to NXT with his mullet/80's gimmick and they remind us all how awesome his dad was, he'll do fine.

I wanted more out of the Varsity Blonds in AEW but with Griff injuring himself every time he stepped in the ring and Pillman struggling to improve, he's better off going where his dad was successful and trying again there.

The only member of the Varsity Blondes that showed real promise was Julia.

He may be on WWE's radar, but in the meantime he's just been announced for the WSW (Australia) tour.

Rumors are a strong breeze is blowing and the Pirate Princess is returning. Reports are WWE worked out the details to get Kairi to come back.

Say if she does not appear tonight, she will be back by weeks end.

Wonder if she keeps wrestling or not. She wants money for it, will have to go AEW. But do not see her fitting in there at all. She does not do well around drama. Also will need to finally a get a gimmick and moveset as many of the NXT only girls really never develop their own persona.

She has been one of the biggest let downs in recent memory.

Looks, decent talker, ok worker.. it should have been easy. But unfortunately, nothing stuck. Not a single gimmick worked.

I always liked Lacey so that's disappointing.

She seemed setup for a massive future when it was The Lady vs. The Man. That was such a slam dunk idea.

I did not like Lacey in the ring, but she was an NXT girl who seemed to be forced into these stupid ass characters with lame ass moves that it was clear were stuck on her by creative. She cut some great promos over the years and is a former marine so you know she is tough as nails. She continues to wrestle I assume an early destination for her is Stardom, and we rapidly see a much different heel Evans emerge. Kairi and Mone likely would go to bat for her since both trained with her. AEW could very well take her too, as people there she trained with as well. She would be a killer addition to the Outcasts and if she pulled the man from hollywood gimmick would be hilarious.

She'll go to IMPACT with all the other rednecks.. I'd almost bet the house on it.

Impact seems like the logical choice.

I wasn't really paying attention to WWE during this time but I remember this feud. What happened? Did it just fizzle out or did creative screw it up?

I don't know why they ever changed Lacey Evans' pin up/traditional American woman gimmick she had going. She did it well and it was a great look for her that felt really fresh. She could have rode that wave for a decade at least.

She came back at one point when Becky was on top, but the run fizzled quick as creative did not commit.

She came back and attempted a vomit inducing pro-America gimmick from what I remember, then when that didn't click she came back attempting the sympathetic babyface gimmick - " I'm a Mom. I'm a Marine. Daddy was a crackhead.. " and no one cared either.

She had heat for a while just post-call up and they should have just drove that southern belle / women's right gimmick into the ground.

Like so many - and we're usually not allowed to say these things - maybe she wasn't committed enough to improving or WWE sensed she had reached her potential at this point in her career. A lot of people have hit this roadblock - Drew being a now classic example.

A mother of two, maybe her priorities had shifted and that's 100% ok and I back her decision to want to be a parent first rather than be on the road 24/7. How many wrestling documentaries talk about stars never being home or terrible relationships with their families... most of them.

I think she is retiring. Sounds like she will be starting an Only Fans.

Japan likes American girls. Not like signing girl for AEW for 3 to 5 years either, a Japanese signing is usually a two week tour. So I do not think it would be that unrealistic for her to work a few Stardom shows.

There's like one WWE Developmental product (two if you count Mercedes) that has ever gone to Japan, it's not going to happen.

In a world where Melina went to Stardom and teamed with Kairi, I can see Evans working a tour or two.

We didn't like Melina? I thought we did.

The problem was Lacey wasn't ready for her spot. The WWE clearly rated her as a prospect and you can understand why but she'd barely been on NXT when she was brought up to the main roster. They didn't really have anything for her initially either, so they literally just paraded her around the entrance ramp. Then out of nowhere she found herself facing off against the biggest star in the company. Becky found herself in this unfortunate situation where she's trying to make the most of her run, but then she's got to walk this rookie through these matches and it just killed all her momentum.

Can anyone remember anything about her 2020? It seemed like in 2019 they were letting her naturally transition into a babyface and promoting her daughter but I barely remember anything before she hooked up with Ric Flair only to be written off for maternity.

Her return was weird, it seemed like they were going back to what they were doing in 2019 and promoting her real story and she was cutting these heart-felt promos. Then it was like they booked her like Kurt Angle as this prototypical babyface that wasn't getting the respect she deserved. Then HHH took over and seemingly just wrote her off the show altogether.

I wonder if the WWE were patient with her and things fell differently if she could have made the progress Bianca did? She's clearly not the athlete Bianca is, but she wasn't completely hopeless either - just really green.

Still, I'm annoyed we didn't get Becky vs. Asuka post-WM 2019 with a side-bar of Kairi Sane. Could have also called Shayna Baszler up earlier so the NXT women had an opportunity to develop instead of extending Shayna's reign longer than it needed to go. We could have also sent somebody to Wuhan while we're at it, but how else were we going to have time to all watch Tiger King together?

I know many in the amature wrestling commuity as I was on the team at Indiana University and many senior level tournaments.  From what I am hearing Gable is moving to the main roster really soon and was given some extra money to withdraw from the word championships. I highly doubt Endeavor will release Gable as he is as real as it comes. I have never met Gable, but I have has many conversations with his brother Bobby in the past.
