With Piper getting involved in Bayley's match, and with the fact that the next PLE's in Scotland, I think we're likely to get Bayley/Piper for the title then.

It surprises me to say that Belair vs Jax was the best part of Smackdown and perhaps the only good part. Fun match with sound psychology.

Orton vs Tonga was disappointing, going through the motions. The Cody/Paul segment kinda sucked. Cody saved it with a nice speech at the end but everything before that was pretty lame.

Also Heyman continues to be the best. The pop when Roman returns is going to be legendary. This is how you have someone drop a title, take time off, but remain relevant.

It's masterful what Heyman does. He's been a literal storyteller reading his novel aloud throughout this entire thing and all that the characters have to do is eventually show up.

Do I think The Rogue Bloodline is all that impressive? Not really. But Heyman does a hell of job convincing the world they're a legit threat.

I think there was a real missed opportunity to really break away from the slow, methodical and calculated politicking that was associated with the Reigns led Bloodline and create a sense of anarchy and chaos with Solo & Co. Almost nWo like in their attacks. Urgency is the appropriate word. But it kind of a rinse and repeat.

Tama has an x-factor and he's certainly got a pop in his step when in ring, but for me both Solo and Tanga just don't have that same energy in both performance or character and forcing a chaotic hit and run style would disguise some of those short comings. Ie; early Sheild. And in turn make the unit much more threatening.

Queen Nia is going to be great, I love what she's doing so far.

Awesome conversation between AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes, fueled by an excellent crowd. What interested me is that they namedropped NJPW and ROH, but deliberately avoided saying AEW.

They're booking the Solo-Bloodline in exactly the right way for former top heel Roman Reigns to come back as a megaface. Roman did a lot of despicable things, but he never terrorised Paul Heyman in the way Solo is doing. It's obvious but I still want to mention it.


I forgot to mention, Piper Niven's promo from last week's Smackdown was bloody great. I wish they had done it in Glasgow instead.

This version of Styles is the best we've seen in years.

I like an AJ Styles who isn't 100% sure of himself. Old Man AJ could be great, especially if he begins resorting to more heel like traits to make up his apparent reduced ability or durability.

I’m not sure it’s that. The Cardiff stadium show didn’t have pyro either. I wonder if it’s UK fire regulations.

Likely one less thing to worry about logistically.
