Somebody queue up a Bad News Barrett "I'm afraid I've got some bad news" gif. I haven't read the spoilers, but I fear the worst. 😆

I don't get the need to do 5-5 instead of 4-4. Needlessly adding wrestlers that have nothing to do with The Bloodline.

I like the choice of Bronson Reed too. Workins perfectly. I presume this prompts Rollins to reluctantly join OG Bloodline. The way things are going Roman will nod his head a millimeter, offer a sarcastic apology, and Rollins will be cool.

Yeah, it kind of doesn't make sense given its been all about family for so long, and there's even questions of Sami's status as a member.. Then, there's the fact two members of The Rogue Bloodline are Tongan, but related via some revision to include Haku in the lineage. Bronson is of Samoan descent from South Australia and has no connection to The Anoaʻi family. Seth, one could argue is considered " Blood Brothers " with Roman Reigns via The Shield. But it's all very loose at this point.

Do we have a 5th OG Bloodline member yet? I saw a great idea. Roman calls Heyman, he returns at Survivor Series and introduces his old, new client... CM Punk.

Where is Big Dick Johnson?! Yeah, it's odd. He made one appearance, raised an eyebrow and hasn't been seen since.

That was a really great episode of Smackdown. The Cody/KO promo was fantastic. Both made sense, both intense, and both felt like they meant every word. And then the ending was just great stuff. I know WARGAMES being 5on5 has been pretty unpopular but I really think they had to go that way. On the new bloodline only Jacob Fatu feels like a real threat, so they needed someone else to make them feel more legit and Reed does that and also fits in well with their vibe. If it was just 4 on 4 there was no believable way for the New Bloodline to win for me. The teasing of Rollins and people losing their mind over it shows how good they are at working their fanbase now, and Punk coming in not only makes sense given his loyalty to Heyman (as seen 5 months ago on Smackdown) but makes Seth hate Punk more for their feud as well as building and teasing Punk vs. Roman. Just fantastic stuff.
I'm also really glad they didn't save the reveal for the PPV. Every show needs to matter. If we're programmed to believe that big moments only happen on PPV then why watch the weekly shows? Especially with the move to Netflix where everything is on the same platform - they need to make sure important things are spread throughout the product to keep interest high. We don't want to create a lazy trope where the last man at WARGAMES is also a surprise and a big return, that's just setting yourself up for disappointment when you run out of options.
