What's rich? Did not every debatable call go their way? If it didn't everyone would be saying these ref's are in the Pats pocket...I'm not saying that...just they got the calls tonight. It depends when you take into consideration the non calls , the quick Amendola whistle. The Clement one was really the only close one I can rememver but I missed the beginning of the 3rd quarter. You can't hold a player up and strip him.

I've seen Bradley Cooper so many times, I expect him to be interviewed while holding the trophy.

Fantastic Super Bowl. Say what you will about the Patriots, but their big games are rarely boring.

I only saw one debatable call in the game, I probably would’ve reversed the Clement call but oh well. I think that the Ertz TD even was reviewed speaks to how poor the understanding of catches in the league is.
I’d been saying Philly would win for two weeks, and somehow I’m surprised I was right. Hope I was the only one at work to predict it so I can win the pool.

Well isn't this rich. I'm not even a hater but this is pretty fucking rich man. What's rich? Did not every debatable call go their way? If it didn't everyone would be saying these ref's are in the Pats pocket...I'm not saying that...just they got the calls tonight. It's true, the one debatable call of the game went their way (there were only 2, and the 2nd wasn't really debatable), but Pats still getting away with murder on defense, that's 2 in a row they were allowed to PI and hold at will (0 times called). That 2 point conversion was blatantly obvious. In this instance, it's not so bad as the AFC championship where everything only favored the Pats, since at least there was a bit of questionable calling for the Eagles.

If you're a fan of a team , you don't slightly cheer for the other team in a playoff game for such trivial reasons. Nick Foles just made 100 million dollars. I hope it ain't with Cleveland.

That would have been an amazing game to watch as a casual, so many highlights but both teams were guilty of letting the other walk all over them. In the end, it came down to a trick play for Foles to receive and a Brady fumble at the death to seal victory for the Eagles. Still, to score 41 points without your first choice QB speaks volumes and Foles has well and truly earned his place in history.
As controversial as the commentators tried to make it, I've watched so much Rugby League that the final Ertz played looked like the most legitimate scoring play of the game. I'm really not sure of the rule, but the way the commentators were trying to explain it, it seemed like one of those silly technical rules that just take fans out of the game. They mentioned something about Pittsburgh and if that's the case then the Steelers should feel hard done by - there's nothing worse when you're let down by a crappy rule.

God let’s hope that’s not true. I appreciate that he was good here, but no team should be setting him to be their QB of the future. I suppose If Cleveland’s plan is to trade their number one or number four for even more picks and can get him on a contract they can get out of easily if necessary.

it seemed like one of those silly technical rules that just take fans out of the game. This couldn't be more on the money. The only reason those were even remotely "controversial" is because of the farcical scenes we have seen with the catch rule over the previous few seasons. In a normal world they are both obvious touchdowns.

Good night of football and the halftime entertainment wasn't a total waste. Outside of the MLK/truck commercial being iffy, none of the ads were flagrantly offensive. No controversy. No bad injuries. I call tonight a win.

I'm sure some team will ante up a lot of money for him. I think he's okay but needs a lot of talent around him and some brilliant coaching. Denver wouldn't be a terrible spot , but not for the money he will probably demand.

That scoring play, I don't think was nearly as debatable as they made it sound, there was only some question because of previous calls in the season. But this was the most clear cut of any of them, if you lose the ball going to the ground GAINING possession, you have to maintain, but if you've already established possession and are then a runner, all you have to do is cross the goal line. He took 3 full steps (without bobbling the ball) before the defender taking his legs sent him to the ground. That is a completion 9/10.

I can't wait to find out what's behind the Malcolm Butler drama. The announcers insinuated that he got news that he was too hurt to play on defense. They showed him crying and being consolec during the opening ceremonies, so whatever it was devastated him.

As somebody who hasn't studied the rule book but has a feel for it, I thought the officials did a great job of the game. Anyone trying to take the moral high ground over the officials is really just clutching at straws. Hell, you can say that at the worst of times, but here what's there to be high and mighty about it?

They showed him crying and being consolec during the opening ceremonies, so whatever it was devastated him. I'm reading some different stuff on twitter. Some speculation that it is related to his friendship with Edwin Jackson, the Colts linebacker who was sadly killed in a car crash earlier today. That would explain his emotions in the pregame. Belichick said in his presser that it wasn't due to the illness Butler had earlier in the week, nor for disciplinary reasons. Butler himself said to reporters that he wasn't given a reason why he didn't get on the field. Whatever the case it seems very odd, especially considering how awful the Pats defence was. Can only go down as a huge mistake by the coaching staff.
