Alllen would’ve done the same thing and got the same call and you’d be fine with it. The refs that called a center looking around the same way they all do every snap as a false start, ignored a mugging of Travis Kelce in the first half, etc. were DEFINITELY pulling for the Chiefs.

It's just a gutless tactic to put the blame on a 24 year old kid the way Saleh threw Zach under the bus and how this fanbase is taking out years of failure at the position out on him. Zach deserved to be benched and honestly should not have been out there this year at all(Or year 1, he SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN GIVEN THE KEYS THE WAY HE DID. I SAID THIS ON pduh PODCAST AND COUNTLESS TIMES HERE). Zach should just be let go in the offseason and let him catch on with like Kansas City or somewhere else where he can learn and not play behind the times. I said the same with Geno Smith when he was the pinata for Jets fans every time in 2013-2014. This is a problem that goes beyond Zach Wilson or Michael Carter(Who got cut) or anybody else the team wants to bench or cut.

This is ultimately on Joe Douglas who I have been more than patient and fair with. This offseason I said was a disaster and I was proven right. Yeah the O-Line guys going down the way they have is a massive snakebite and Corey Davis screwed us by retiring right before the start of the year(Hope he's doing good, I don't blame him for putting family before football but the timing killed us) but the GM needed to be 1 step ahead with this. These positions were bandaided up in round 4 & with UDFAs so no surprise when called upon, they look overmatched.

Hackett is another issue but we knew going in why he was hired and the guy the entire Jets FO was fawning over and signing his guys for went down snap 4 and we had egg on our face. It is a far cry to ask Aaron Rodgers at his age to log all the games this year, there needed to be a better backup plan besides throwing Zach Wilson out there and give him a suspect at best supporting cast. Hackett has been up there for worst offensive coordinators I have ever seen and he has somehow been worse this year than he did in Denver(In that regard, Sean Payton wasn't wrong).

I am rooting for Zach and think he's handled these 3 years as good as anyone can. He isn't blameless as he hasn't developed the way I and so many were hoping he would but he's become a butt of all jokes and that I don't fully put on him. This organization got impatient yet again with a young signal caller and threw them out before they were ready and got poor tendencies taught onto him. His former OC Mike LaFleur basically let the fanbase know he didn't really believe in him and Saleh's comments yesterday basically put blame on Joe Douglas & his Jets scouts for why this didn't work. Robert Saleh is another coach who thinks he's a defensive coordinator but has the head coach title. He needed to reign the OCs in and start to ask why this isn't working instead of going ho-hum and letting them just call shotgun all the way through.

Much like with Sam Darnold, I am rooting for Zach Wilson to catch on elsewhere and I totally understand any young QB in the draft's trepidation in coming to the Jets. This organization once again fails to deliver on a high picked QB, much to the surprise of no one.

It can be Tim Boyle. Mike White. Josh Johnson. Trevor Siemien(again). Joe Flacco(again). Chris Strevler. You can put whoever you want at QB, things won't get drastically better. Blessing to Boyle to get a shot here but this won't work. It goes so far beyond the QB.

Chad Pennington issue is always healthy but when he is right, he did so good for Miami in 2008, almost like the Jets should have stuck with him and not take another Packer fraud. Sanchez was in the NFL for quite a while after his multiple playoff win tenure with NYJ. Geno just got 100+ million dollars and is leading a team into the playoffs(again). Darnold showed flashes in Carolina before the team bottomed out talent wise(Still are). As Bobby Fish said it best

He is a low end two and high end three who is probably the best blocking receiver in the league which earns him reps. Also isn’t going to shine with the likes of Zach Wilson throwing him the ball.

I’d take Allen Lazard on my team all day every day - just wouldn’t pay him that contract and ask more of him that what he’s good at.

I know the Steelers have a no one gets fired policy but it's incredible that Canada lasted as long as he did, his offence was the drizzling shits. He was the coordinator for 44 games in which they never topped 400 yards once, league-wide it's at about a 20% rate.

It really comes down to the consistency of the calls - Mike alluded to it in his post about what "elite QBs" get compared to everyone else.

Aaron Donald knocked Geno Smith out of the Rams/Seahawks game for a couple of possessions with an almost identical hit but because he's Geno and not Mahomes and didn't wave his arms around at the refs, didn't get a flag.
