Since it is for the NJPW Strong title, Mox winning lets him go into a WK match with the belt. Jon Moxley doesn’t need a title or an excuse to show up at Wrestle Kingdom

With a NJPW title in play, I think this does limit the champ to someone who is going to work WK with the belt, and me that leaves Dragon, White, Eddie or Mox. While Swerve would be amazing for NJPW, he is not the type of guy they normally want.
Putting the titles on the line for this really nuked my interests from the start.

As we all know, Mox being Swerve is a disappointment. But I take some solace in the fact that Mox won with a rollup, where he grabbed the tights, and where Swerve's shoulder was clearly off the mat. That last part was probably unintentional but it helps. Jon Moxley always wins in the most decisive way possible, so for him to win in that way is a victory of sorts. It is looking like Jay White has to beat Moxley to make the block interesting, and I am sure that is what will happen. I'm more intrigued as to who is going to stop Andrade. He might lose to both Claudio and Kingston. Mox also didn't use blood rage boost. So Swerve didn't even lose to Mox's final form.

From Cagesideseats "If Mox wins or draw, he advances to the League finals (tournament semi-finals) the week before Worlds End. Swerve can punch his ticket to the League finals with a win and a Mox win or draw, while Switchblade needs to beat Mox and have RUSH defeat or draw with Strickland to ensure a spot in the League Finals. If Strickland draws, he needs Moxley to beat or draw with White to move on. If Switchblade & Mox draw, White needs Swerve to lose to reach the League Finals. Even though it was said on Dynamite that RUSH is done, by our math if he beats Swerve and Moxley beats Switchblade we’d have a three-way tie for second with each man holding a tiebreaker over another at 9 points. Wins by White and Swerve next week would also trigger a tiebreaker scenario, with them on 12 points with Moxley and each man holding a tiebreaker over one of the others. We’ll see how AEW opts to sort those scenarios out if they book themselves into them."
If Mox wins why does he need to even do a semi-final match. He sweep the board and should just be done.
And didn't know about the semi-final match but if it is true how is Rush already out?
The final scenario seems like the way they will go.

Not happy with the rage this is all turning out. Rush or Swerve should have won definitively. Both need a huge win to be taken seriously as a main event talent, and this was it. All the guys floating around the top of this are already on the top of AEW, except well Switchblade. And Switchblade does not need wins to get over.
I really hope Tony is not putting Swerve back to the mid card again. That Hangman deathmatch proved it is time to unleash him. And well, if Tony does not push him, sure Regal is watching him closely.

This post just shows how poor of a job they did at explaining potential outcomes on Dynamite this week. I was confused listening to Excalibur too, especially because if you go to the website or wiki, RUSH isn't eliminated yet. However they said on the broadcast multiple times that because Jay White won, RUSH was out. That was never true. I want to know who fed Excalibur that info because apparently even the people booking the tournament can't do simple math. They really needed to take 30 seconds and show a "If Mox wins this, if Swerve wins this," etc. Or even "now that RUSH has won he stays alive, for now!" and just leave it at that and move on with the rest of the matches. If you aren't sure or can't figure it out on the spot, leave it alone. Not happy with the rage this is all turning out. Rush or Swerve should have won definitively. And well, if Tony does not push him, sure Regal is watching him closely. Swerve signed his contract at Revolution last year. Assuming it was a 3-year contract, he still has 18 months left. And the contract tampering went nowhere. THEN he got a mega push. He isn't going anywhere any time soon.

The only way Swerve doesn't make the final is if Danielson is in it. Because if he is the planned winner it may turn the crowd against him in his final year.

Hottest crowd I have seen in weeks. Probably since Full Gear. You have to pull the trigger on Swerve winning this whole damn thing. Swerve winning would make no sense to me. He has no history with ROH.
