Starting this now because TK just announced on twitter that tomorrow night's episode of AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming will have a 5 minute overrun.

As we all know, WIC usually has a surprise or two, or is at the very least a really good episode.

In 2020 on the debut episode we saw the AEW debut of Sting, appearing on TNT for the first time in 19 years. That episode also ended with Kenny Omega defeating Jon Moxley to become AEW World Champion, beginning his belt collector run.

In 2021 the show opened with a 60-minute time limit draw after "Hangman" Adam Page defended his AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson, in what many called the match of the year.

Last year's event saw a slight drop in quality but was still an excellent show. Chris Jericho suffered a stunning upset against a debuting Action Andretti. Death Triangle took a 3-1 series lead in their bets of 7 trios tournament against The Elite. Ricky Starks was made in defeat in a Winner Take All match against MJF for the AEW World Championship and Dynamite Diamond Ring.

This year the Continental Classic is front and centre, but a Devil lurks in the shadows and may continue to target the Hangman as he takes on #NeckStrong Roderick Strong.

Should be a great show, I've been digging the hell out of the Continental Classic, twelve days into December and I've already got five matches from this series, on my favorite matches of the month list. I hate to say it, but I unfortunately see Swerve losing to Moxley tomorrow night, before getting the win back, to take on the winner of the blue league.

Sad to say I agree with Lony . Swerve should 1000% win this match, take a commanding lead in the Gold League, and usher in the Year of Swerve in 2024. But I'm worried they'll do some bullshit with him not being able to overcome Moxley just yet and make Mox that last obstacle Swerve has to overcome before being World Champion material. Even though he's already there. I dunno just a feeling I have. I hope we are wrong.

I could see a draw happening though. I bet they main event and that is why there is a 5 minute overrun. They draw, win their final matches and end up tied, then have a sudden death match to determine a winner.

Semi-related question. When was the last time Andrade lost a singles match?

Gonna be so upset if Mox wins. It is Swerve's time.

Got a feeling too Strong winds up back in the wheelchair after tonight. Deadeye through a table or off the stage just killing him, or the a Devil appearance in the ring.

Thunder Rosa just posted her original debut promo on instagram, from when she was NWA Women's Champion and was coming to AEW to "bring respect to the women's locker room."

Dynamite is in her home state tonight. Just sayin'....

I had to check cagematch to confirm but he lost to Bryan Danielson on an episode of Collision in October. Before that he lost to Jay White in September. Those might be his only singles losses in AEW this year, I didn't feel like scrolling any further to check.

I am only saying this to make it not happen but do we need a 20 minute match only for Jay and Mark to lose again.

Could be a good match to do during commercial break.

So if the devil helps Mox win. Not should if Impact uses 90 day non-compete clauses but if they did. Sami Callihan left 9/30. And world end is 12/30.

That’s the main downside to tournaments like this. You need journeymen or young up-and-comers to be the fall guys that job their way through the matches, and it always results in matches like tonight where there are no stakes late in the tournament.

At least they were smart and made this a small, quick round robin. The G1 is great and all but for every dream match or 5-star showcase there are 3-5 throwaway matches that nobody pays attention to.

So if Swerve loses we riot?

Joe came out alluded to it probably being Hangman. Joe says he wasn't playing detective and probably already decided on his guilty. Strong came out and said the devil is probably max since no one actually saw the beat down. Hangman attacked Strong and Joe left.
