You could make a huge case for Gutey as Executive of the Year. Doing what he did with the roster and the Packers being as good as they were based largely off an exceptional draft class is such a huge plus for him. And that’s not including the Aaron Rodgers saga and rolling with Love.
I get the Lions are the Lions and all….
And Flower for COTY for many of the same reasons. Though the Packers largely got snubbed all over this year. Notably Love.
Whatever it’s about Super Bowls.

I would have voted for Joe Jacoby instead of Steve McMichael. Other than that, solid HOF class.

I’m so happy that Patrick Willis finally got into the HOF well deserved Finally? Finally probably is not the right word but whatever! 😒 Oh do you know Patrick Mahomes is 3-0 against the 49ers? 😉

Yeah because the Browns have had so much success in awards season over the past decade. Not sure that should merit them extra credit, but that is another plausible explanation, they felt so bad about them having to deal with their history of being the Browns they just lowered the bar down for them, like grading on a curve.

His shorter career was probably the reason, but that didn't stop Calvin Johnson getting in straight away and they are very comparable.

Where is everyone watching the game? Home, friends house, bar, sportsbook? I’ll most likely be playing poker at a casino laughing at the degens sweating sportsbets.

Not about extra credit as much as it’s pretty hard to claim a bias for a franchise that never wins anything.

Nah you don’t get to say finally while people like Sterling Sharpe are still chilling out there, nothing against Willis but if we are going to start recognizing guys with shorter careers than they can all wait their turn.

Where is everyone watching the game? Home, friends house, bar, sportsbook? I’ll most likely be playing poker at a casino laughing at the degens sweating sportsbets. For the first time in as long as I can remember, I am working the day of the game. Shift work results in big bucks but it comes with sacrifices. (I work 7 days on 7 days off in case anyone is curious. 12 hour days in northern Alberta. It SUCKS ASS but they pay me an unreasonable amount of money, so..) Anyway, game starts at 4:30 my time and I am off at 6. I plan on getting as much work done as possible tomorrow then watching on my laptop in my cubicle until my shift ends. If I time it right I will miss halftime and honestly I don’t care. Takes me about 20 mins to drive from site to my apartment where I will watch the rest of the game and cook dinner and crush a few beers. … Part of me is sad because our family always watches the game together with a bunch of appetizers and snacks, so that tradition is broken, but my wife and I will be texting and she plans on watching some of the game (and for sure halftime) and ordering takeout. Kids don’t really care. They’re not into sports. They will probably be glad I’m not there to take over the living room.

If the Chiefs weren’t involved we might have went over to a friends house and watched the game, but I’m a bit intense for being at a social gathering during the Super Bowl with the Chiefs there so it’ll just be me and family, eating some snacks and hoping to see a third title in five years (and mostly just rooting against a result like the TB game where the wife and kiddo left the living room by halftime)

Not about extra credit as much as it’s pretty hard to claim a bias for a franchise that never wins anything. When the deciding factor is PFF finally gaining enough influence to sway the vote their way in their years long campaign of arbitrarily rating Garrett up and Watt down, it becomes much easier. Especially when you compare Watt needing one of the single most dominant seasons in modern history (a year they also favored Garrett, not exactly subtle at this point) to get one of the DPoY’s he earned, while Garrett’s happily foisted into one despite having played himself out of the conversation with no substantial impact the final several games (his flop in the playoffs wasn’t an abrupt anomaly, but a weeks long standard). Fan vote, player vote (which should be what determines the awards), NFL Network vote, even the channel that aired the awards all disagreed, just where their influence is strongest decided to ignore the Houdini act and give it to Garrett (even Crosby was a more valid answer). Just because the Ohio based former Bengal owned Browns fanboy led organization has only risen to prominence in recent years doesn’t mean there isn’t a palpable bias at this point in time.

That’s a whole lot to read this close to the big game man. Not to mention you added these guys ( ) to your sentences multiple times. I’m going to have to give you the first penalty flag of the party my guy.
