Political spite is a bitch. He should have never gotten ride of Trump's border plans. They were good and working, but had one problem.  That problem were the letters T-R-U-M-P.  

The Trump border plans closed the border due to the COVID pandemic. It was not legal to continue them after we declared the pandemic over.

Covid your ass. It was political spite. He got rid of Trumps border plan and everything that had Trump on it right after he got in office and covid was still a big deal.  Not all of Trumps plans were good but the border plan was. And it was working.

Trump's executive order was using extraordinary measures granted to the president because of the COVID pandemic. It was not legal outside of it. Biden ended it when the pandemic ended.

Congress could have tried to pass a law if they cared changing the nature of asylum to end this once and for all but they did not. Frankly the GOP wants a broken asylum system so they can run on illegal immigration knowing their supporters do not know the difference between immigration and asylum.

Even when they had both houses under Trump they left things as they are today for this reason.  Biden offered them everything they wanted to in terms of reform and when realized it would fix the problems with immigration in the US they filibusted it to prevent it from becoming law.  They do not want a closed border, they want one they can campaign on fixing.

Trump has his first probation hearing tomorrow. Imagine if Biden had a probation hearing how crazy the right wing media would get.

GOP getting so angry that people are referred to Trump as a convicted felon now.  So much for the tough on crime party that they are all in on a criminal themselves.

Likely Trump will be advised to stop associating with anyone with criminal backgrounds tomorrow since felons cannot associate with other felons under the rules of probation.  So Trump will not be able to associate with most of his old legal team or former advisors.

Biden and dems offered to pass the GOP's own immigration plan. A lot of republicans were ready to pass it but Trump torpedoed it so he could run on fixing immigration. That happened.

This sort of thing isn't uncommon in politics. A well-known example is when the GOP is out of power they run on the deficit being too large. But after they get in power they raise spending and cut taxes, increasing the deficit even more.

I love how the US offers asylum, but then people bitch that people come here for it. Like if you do not want asylum get rid of it. Don't tell people to come here for protection, require them to make asylum claims on US soil, then demand a wall be built and threaten to arrest them for coming onto US soil, which they are required to do by US asylum law.

Speaking of US debt, Trump already talking about taking full control of how the government spends money and more deep tax cuts to corporations and rich.  Expected Trump term 2 policy will at least triple the debt he carries out what he promises.  Concentration camps and future cities will not be cheap to build.  Moreso when you have to plan for flying cars.

There's a difference between what is commonly referred to as an " asylum seeker " and an illegal, undocumented immigrant.

One makes a formal application for the right to remain in another country, and is eventually put through a rigorous review to determine their right to stay, proving their legitimacy and some part, ensuring they won't be a threat to the general public.

The other is a ghost in the night, that slips through a hole in a fence and bypasses all formalities and review for the usually obvious reasons. Ie; criminal history, or inability to prove otherwise or lack of identification to support their right to asylum.

The formal asylum process can take years due to overwhelmed and understaffed immigration courts. All the while, the asylum seeker gets to stay in the US. So even though there is a way to determine if an asylum seeker is actually persecuted in their home country, it takes too long and is essentially a way to get into the country legally. I believe countering that was one of the main purposes of the "remain in Mexico" policy.

People who reviewed what is happening on the ground have stated the majority of people coming into America are asylum seekers. To seek asylum all you have to do is cross the border, turn yourself over to the border patrol, and say you fear for your life if you return home. Do that and you can legally stay in the US until your case is heard, which is currently in a four years backlog.

The people coming are predominately coached by coyotes on how to make asylum claims and follow the procedures of asylum. The whole hoards of people sneaking in during the dead of night is bullshit. The people coming are coming to make that claim knowing the second they do, they are granted the right to live and work in the US. Then if they play their cards right, they can extend this indefinitely. They are here to work and bank several times the cash they could via their home countries. Some are true asylum seekers, but most are economic refugees who plan to come here, work as long as they can, then take their savings and return home.

Coming into the country illegally without claiming asylum gives you zero protection. While some do cross illegally, the majority of people are economic refugees who coyotes trained to take advantage of the broken asylum system that lacks the funding to process the claims in a timely manner.

And this shit is not just speculation, we know it as we have full coverage of the border via drones. Follow the masses crossing and we see them cross through the border wall and beeline towards the border patrol. Plenty of footage on this. And they are far more open in spanish interviews about why they are coming.  In the English interviews can see their responses to many questions were coached.

As for making a claim from another country, it is not legal. US law states you must be in the US to make an asylum claim with very few exceptions.

Read there is a chance Hunter appeals his conviction to the Supreme Court on 2nd amendment rights, since the constitution says nothing about drug use.

Trump claims if he wins he will pardon Hunter because Joe should not have allowed the case to go to trial.

Looking like Florida police will allow Trump to keep his firearm, something that would put any other felon in jail for 3 to 5 years.

Hunter was convicted of a far lesser charge than Trump admitted to be committing today.

Unsure if Smith will charge him or not for the gun federally, but likely is looking into it as this is a federal crime as well.

It is interesting the lack of coverage Biden's failing cognitive state gets in the media. Forget the whataboutisms, this is the leader of the free world.

I suspect the media is fearful of what a Trump presidency means for America and the world, I understand all of that, but it's not the job of the media to run a protection racket.

I'm really lost as to why Biden's running again, his rate of decline is obvious.
