First story for a new thread, Bezo moved 20 billion dollars worth of amazon stock last week.  Expected that others will do the same on expectation of a market bubble and the possibility that Trump returns to office and causes an economic downturn.

It's really insane how much money that is. And to the guys at the top it's a drop in the bucket. Money is make believe.

Seen speculation that this may be a move to buy Space X and merge it with Blue Origin. He would get his space company finally and Space X can boot Musk who is becoming a serious liability with his open drug use that it is getting harder and harder for everyone to pretend is not happening.

US Association of Professional Flight Attendants is looking to strike. They are demanding an immediate pay increase of 33% or to be paid for their full time at work to open the conservation, but some subunions already rejected 33% as too low.  Right now they are only paid when the plane doors are closed. If they work 8 hours, but the plane is delayed 2 of them, and an houring is boarding then again is unboarding, they only get paid for 4 right now.

They need federal permission to strike right now, and it will likely be denied, but there are still wildcat strikes to consider. As well as people just quitting and moving to jobs that pay them for all hours worked.

First year flight attendants are said to make basically minimum wage. Some can make a lot, but most are not. Common practice is to do 12 hour days for 6 hour pay.

Been months now of union fighting with smaller strikes and picketing.

More news on the Bezos stock sales. Last year he relocated to Florida because Washington put a 7% capital gains tax on the books. It appears it was for this very reason, Florida has no capital gains tax, and he will save about 600 million in taxes via the change in residence. The ultimate irony is, he does not have to actually live in Florida, just have property there and declare it is his formal residency. He does not need to actually live there though and will pay almost no taxes to Florida.

Two shooters in custody after opening fire at the Chief's superbowl celebration parade. Little details known right now but reporting 10 people injured at least.  People believe this will be politically motivated given the spin the right wing media was putting on this.

Saw a video of fans tackling one of the gunmen. Amazing. Took far too long for the cops nearby to make it to them.

I heard it was 22 injured. 1 dead. 11 were children ages 6-15 and 9 of the injured children were wounded by gun shots.

Also today marks the anniversary of another mass shooting 6 years ago today in Florida where 17 people were killed.

Apparently there have been 49 mass shootings in the 45 days of 2024 thus far which have occurred within 19 states and Washington DC.

This is modern America. Despite between two people can leave to them just blasting at each other in a crowded place.

Only good part of this was seeing one person with a gun get tackled showing people will stand up to shooters.

For the cop stuff, had two governors and several politicians in the area, their priority was keeping them safe. Cops still got to all three suspects very fast though.

Apparently there were cops on the roofs, but understandably they can't fire into a crowd especially one in mass panic.

Being said both of the shooters being charged in the shooting are minors and due to state law, the details of their charges will be kept under wraps.

Trump hit with a 355 million fine in NY for fraud. HE will be banned for 3 years from operating a business in NY, while Jr and Eric will be
barred for five.

Trump has 30 days to get a bond or put the sum of the fine into an escrow account while he appeals. Bond is unlikely given the nature of the lawsuit.

Without any offence intended, for 95% of logical people who exercise common sense, a biological girl is a girl and a biological boy is a boy. The science don't science despite how one feels inside or appears outside, or despite the amount of drugs in the system.

Well, Musk starting with the new GOP fraud strategy in claiming illegal immigrants are voting for democrats. Since I know some believe this here as well, in the US your vote doesn't count unless it matches the ID of a citizen. And to match your ID must match the voter ID information. Immigrants may have IDs, but they do not have voter ID's to match. And no state in the nation allows non-citizens to register to vote.

But what you will hear in coming months is that Biden is allowing all these migrants into the US on lawful asylum claims, so they will vote for him and that is how will steal the 2024 election. Trump knows he cannot win, his people know he cannot win, so here comes the excuses. 9 month in advance.

Speaking of Trump, tonight he advised his people again not to vote early but to vote in person on the day of the election otherwise their votes would not count. So democrats vote before the election using early voting and mail in ballots, and GOP will try to vote on election day, even in states where they can simply return a form to vote.

Allen Weisselberg is in plea deal talks with the NY DA. He got caught lying on the stand for Trump. Plea deal would have him testify against Trump in the NY criminal trial in exchange for dropping the perjury charge that would most certainly extend his prison stay.


Unlike his past trials for the Criminal Trial Trump's attendance is mandatory in the next NY trial. And it will be in front of a jury who will decide if he is guilty or not. He will not be allowed to storm out or talk out like he did in the civil trials or he will face contempt charges. Expected the kid's gloves they been handling him with will be off as this is a New York Supreme Court judge handling the case, the same one that got a conviction in the Trump Org criminal trial.

In the hearing this week, the judge also made it clear he will not take Trump's legal team's bullshit.  It is very likely the coming change of venue will be denied as well.  Trump wanted to move the trial to long island where he is more liked, but lacks legal justification for given his ties to Manhattan he has not divested from.

While not ruled on, the DA is asking to be able to question the jury on whether or not they believed 2020 was a stolen election during jury selection.  If granted will allow them to cut out Trump supporters from the trial provided they are willing to use their strikes.
