Alabama now looking to clarify that life starts at embryonic implantation instead of conception.

The National Infertility Association just announced it will suspend all embryo transport services to Alabama due to the new ruling embryos are legal persons. So doing IVF in a different state is also no longer an option for Alabama. The life begins at implantation also is seeing some pushback as many do not want to move away from conception at all, and think a carveout will open the door for conception and abortion carveouts.

Also unless things change very fast, legal precedent is now set to try this nationally and see if they can get judges to legislate from the bench that life starts at conception by trying this is various red states.

NY self-defense case backfired, and guy who claims he killed a person who merely drove in his driveway by accident is ruled not self-defense, and claiming so make the guy a danger to society and likely to repeat the crime. While on stand, he showed no remorse and claimed he feared for his life seeing a car enter his driveway. Details were revealed he fired at the SUV as it was leaving his driveway after they realized they were at the wrong place.

Jury found him guilty, and Judge gave him 25 to life. He is old enough now to die in prison.

Europe is trying to buy any and all arms they can from the US before Trump takes office and potentially pulls the US out of NATO and the US swaps sides in the Russian / Ukraine conflict. Hur hearing today about the Biden docs. In prep for the hearing Hur resigned from the DoJ, and it was found that his report did not line up with the transcripts.

Hearing is backfiring completely for the GOP as Hur makes it clear that Biden handed over all documents while Trump did not, and there was not enough evidence of a crime found from Biden to expect a reasonable jury to convict him.

Being revealed that many of the classified documents in the Biden case too were simply personal diaries where the bulk of the material was not found to be related to politics at all.

Being reported that no one wants to front a 500 million bond for Trump. And Trump is not liquid, nor can he afford to sell of assets as he leveraged them. With the clock ticking down no one really knows what happens. He does not get the cash, NYC can take possession of one of his properties and sell it.

Trump lawyers just filed that it is impossible for Trump to cover his 550 million dollar bond after 30 plus financial firms refused to underwrite it. They claim he cannot also raise the money selling assets as it would result in him suffering financial losses. Previously he tried to lower the bond amount to 100 million.

Asking full panel appeals court to allow him to post a much smaller bond while this case goes to appeals proper. Not likely gonna get relief as suffering financial losses is the point of civil judgments in court cases.

He has about a week left to post a bond before James can start petition to start seizing assets in NY to cover the settlement.
