I find it hilarious they did not like even check if Becky was working this weekend before reporting she is taking time off.
Feels like with HHH in charge he is promoting people talking to press on record, rather than off record. Like go to do interviews and get some cash for it, do not call some rag reporter leaking shit for free. And feels like HHH is trying to keep people happier so they do not become that bitter guy talking shit all the time as was the norm in the past.
Of course with HHH being far more hands on too, if shit does leak, he is not Vince mostly in a backroom with a select few. HHH is more likely to be able to guess who leaked what. And being a wrestler he will not be cool with certain things getting told to the press, particular things of more personal natures that happen backstage, which are the chase stories of old for dirt sheets. Punk takes a swing backstage in WWE, likely whoever leaks it is fired.

Looks like Jade is having fun in WWE.
"The locker room here, the women are very supportive. They want to see everybody win. They want to keep on topping each other. It’s very competitive in a healthy way. ‘You had a great match, I’m going to go out there and have a phenomenal match,’ and the next person is like, ‘I’m going to have one better than that.’ Everyone is trying to outdo the other in a very healthy way because we want to put on for women’s sports right now. We have the best women’s locker room right now. They have all put in work. They’ve all worked with one another. Being that I’m the new person on the block, they want to see me succeed. Everybody is supportive. Everybody is like, ‘What do you need?’ If anything is going wrong, like my first match on Raw, actually, I was having a little mini-meltdown, and everyone came to me like, ‘What do you need?’ ‘You need to lace up your boots? I got you.’ Everyone is very supportive. It’s a very healthy locker room, a very experienced locker room. Everyone wants everyone to go out there and excel. We’re putting on for the next generation and we’re showing why this is the best locker room in women’s wrestling."
This is great to hear, as I am very curious just how far she can go. AEW she hit a ceiling due to her lack of intensive training, but with Nattie in WWE, there is no longer really any reason for Jade to be held back. She can become as great as she is willing to work to be.

That is crushing news. I really hoped that with his appearance at the HOF ceremony that a return was coming. I'm glad he got his title win when he did and we have a lot of good to look back on. He's too good to not be on TV in some form. Maybe he manages Kofi & Woods to one last tag title run? Woods goes after the HW title to complete the trifecta of them all being world champs? Could be something. At the very least get him on TV with a microphone in his hand. I want this to happen!

Someone noting elsewhere if anyone here is into collectables this will be the sole action figure with the Talk Shit tattoo from Shayna. He plans to get rid of the tattoo in the near future. Not sure how true it is, but may be something to look into if in that space.

Straight from the source on this contract renewal. Kind of surprised here, he is the exact type of guy Tony would pay big money to get.

The only thing WWE will change is the 90 day advance notice of termination. Now, they’ll stop using you 90 days out from when they want to terminate your contract and then outright terminate your contract. The only thing that changes, wrestlers won’t get that three month heads up.

Outside of AJ, Finn is the guy Tony likely wants most from the WWE due to his love of NJPW. But yeah not many people gonna jump if they are happy in WWE. But have to know, not getting Finn will sting Tony a bit, as he would love to have him vs Okada or him vs Will on a PPV.

The only thing that changes, wrestlers won’t get that three month heads up. They can also talk with other feds regularly to get updated offers at anytime. Given his reaction I imagine this one hurts Tony more than HHH, as Tony got but hurt that WWE even asked when contracts end. Not sold that will bench a star for 3 months just because they are leaving. Or bury them on the way out. I think they milk the cow until the last minute. Until this new rule, I imagine trading guys will be a lot more regular and eventually they find a civil way to handle this all so it is becomes more like professional sports where it is not really seen as a betrayal to lose a guy but just business. And if this that is the case it is a massive win for wrestling fans as people should move around a lot more than they do now, which stops things from getting stale.

I hadn’t really even heard any rumble of Finn thinking of leaving, KO was the last “they’re definitely thinking AEW” type that was becoming a free agent and that was years ago. The next of course is Drew, but doubt he’s leaving either. Also I can’t imagine that rule in its current state ever really takes place. Its intent had nothing to do with people at this pay range and there will definitely be legal challenges for companies worrying an Executive VP is gonna take off with a client list to a competitor.

The person in charge of contracts left, and there is re-organizationing so people were not being renewed like they used to be. So seeing a lot of people questioning if people are waiting for the non-competes to hit a point where they can talk to Tony about offers, or if the company is just changing it's practices. Thinking each day that passes it is more and more clear they are just changing how they do offers, waiting towards the end of the contract now, instead of locking them down a six months to a year before contracts end. Which makes sense, as a lot can happen in a year you do want a Matt Riddle or Hardy getting a 5 year contract then, being Matt Riddle or Jeff Hardy.
The non-compete rule def comes into play, as Cody and others talked about it, and Tony did his twitter rage about illegal contact. Everyone seems to work around it and pretend it does not happen, which makes it weirder. But they are not supposed to be able to get offers until the non-compete is up. I want it to go away just to streamline shit and make the feds work together more, ala baseball or football teams. Rather than this cutthroat backroom bullshit, have them actually talk and make trades. Both feds have dozens guys doing jackshit, why not chat up trading. And make negotiations more out in the open for top guys so everyone knows what is offered and when stuff is handled. We are in the corporate era for WWE, lets act like it now and leave all the carnival shit behind.

I also imagine that WWE being more corporate will adapt to changes really fast. AEW however, I think will struggle as Tony is more carny than HHH oddly enough given they come from the opposite backgrounds. By HHH has a great mind for business and putting his feelings aside, while Tony is more about the boys and puts his feelings first. Such a bizarre paradox when you really stop and think about it. And IMO shows the strength of HHH. He was a respected wrestler, that also picked up all Vince had to offer, but has none of the carny era downsides Vince had like all the backstage sex and drugs shit. HHH also proved he can call up people he personally does not like and bring in them to make some cash with WWE. He handled Punk masterfully. Few people in wrestling would ever consider doing what HHH did with bringing back Punk, and promoting him, after Punk personally attacked him for years.
As someone who hated HHH the wrestler, dude really evolved into one of the best leaders in wrestling and may get the business better than any has before. Which leads to the prior points, this is a man you want to work for and likely why people are staying rather than risk working for Tony. They assume HHH will keep treating them well because he already is.

The 90 day non compete is also a 90 days paid leave period. Basically WWE going ‘you’re on the bench for three months getting paid and then we are firing you on X day’. This is very common in countries with greater worker protections, particularly in specialised industries in the UK it’s known as ‘Gardening Leave’.

I assume a good portion of this difference comes in HHH being self-made while Tony is not (or considerably more than Tony is anyway)

HHH def was self-made. He came up locally in a time when there was not even really local wrestling. 90's indy wrestling was like stone dead. Also heard he was a pompous ass which is why he got that whole blue blood gimmick original.
But love or hate the dude, he had the look, was solid in the ring, kept his nose clean and most importantly loyal as fuck to WWE. All the other big guys left for Hollywood or went part time, but he stayed on doing whatever they needed. Sure he married Steph, and got some opportunities that way in the end, but he proved himself very fast with NXT, and he kills it on the corporate calls and pressers. Def was the right person for the job.
Tony may do the same in the end, but he has a lot of learning still to do about being a representative in front of a camera. Khan very much is ECW Paulie whereas HHH is Paul Heyman.

Reported Khan is asking Khan, but not that Khan, to run a big show in London...
How many fucking Khans are there <.<
London major trying to get WWE to do a Wrestlemania in London. They got the arena for it if WWE wants to do another open air event. But open air events in London have their risks that I am not entirely sold WWE wants to deal with. Nor am I sold they would be allowed to work in a light rain.

There is a part-roof on Wembley that more-or-less shelters those sat in the stands. Those on the floor would be open to the elements as well as wrestlers on the ramp. It does pose an interesting problem. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was a May date.
