Jist of the thread is CMLL contracts are more handshakes than legal, and WWE may have signed Steph just to fuck with AEW who also was interested in her, and just has her on TV.  Which means CMLL is getting fucked over losing talent with no notice as the result of a pissing contest of two larger feds.

Please WWE, let Steph keep her name!

Hope her image too. She will need to change her ring style a bit for the WWE girls, but everything else is perfect.

Ok there is a lot more than that in there. Specifically the fact it mentions her abuser will likely go free now that Vaquer is leaving the country, because he was only being detained because he posed a threat to her. Now that she will be in the US he will be allowed to go free because Mexico is fucked up like that.

Also provides details that aren’t being mentioned elsewhere, like that Vaquer was vocal in the past about the WWE being her goal and probably swayed her decision if a bidding war was happening. She would work more dates for less money than AEW would pay her because she preferred to go there. Most American dirt sheets have chosen a side in the tribe wars and don’t seem to be mentioning this fact anywhere.

Also talks about how fast this all came together. Vaquer was pulled from a show on Saturday an hour before it started, which is apparently something that never happens in CMLL. They have unwritten rules about that kind of stuff. They also speculate that if WWE was already in talks with Vaquer before Forbidden Door then it likely affected how she was booked, and it’s possible her performance in that match made WWE decide to pursue her faster before her price went up.

I only knew her name because she was the NJPW Strong Women’s champ and I loosely follow that promotion. Yeah, highlights and twitter and reddit, stuff like that. I had only seen one or two of her matches before Forbidden Door.

AEW did her a huge favour booking her for that show. Two weeks ago 95% of fans had never heard her name before. Now she is trending and the WWE tribalists are pretending like they always loved her. :lol:

Back on The Guns going to WWE theory - there is a lot on the socials - I can't for the life of me think of two guys with what would appear zero ambition. These guys could have jobs anywhere, yet seem like they just disappear for months or years at a time.

Either way I am glad she ended up where she wanted to be. I watch both shows so it means fuck all to me. Anyone depriving themselves of watching wrestling because of some weird brand loyalty can miss out I guess.

I follow a few accounts that clip up various international feds.  That is how I know most people these days.  Many feds these days also toss their shit onto youtube where can check out guys that seem awesome in the clips.

Tape trade communities are replaced by streaming sites.  For like 10 to 15 a month can match most indy shit with a massive backlog.

I think that's the real appeal here and I think when WWE was scouting Guilia, she actually dropped the NJPW's STRONG title to her, that's probably when WWE started to really look into her body of work. I doubt her Forbidden Door or wanting to stick it to AEW was that big here.

Why should I be upset?  This is a win for ALL wrestling fans.  Because her talents are gonna be seen by more people now.

Kind of what tribalists do not get. Most people who are indy fans want to see people make money. And for Steph, to see her get the fuck out of Mexico given the domestic shit.

Given the injection of talent into an already talented NXT women's division, I am guessing this is where people will want girls to be signing for the near future.  It is where things are getting the hottest for women's wrestling on TV.

Seen the MCMG stuff - am actually excited. They were one of the few or only things I loved in TNA way back when.

The craziest part is they can still go and are like well into their 40s now. They’ll still have some absolute bangers with the younger teams in WWE.

If MCMG vs DIY happens it could be a MOTY contender and I’m not exaggerating.

Given we been hearing for months they are coming to AEW, not holding my breath on them showing up anywhere until they appear. Really think they will pull a Cardona. Also imagine if WWE did want them, they would have signed long before now.

I love The Guns, but they come across as two of the most unambitious guys in wrestling, or at least when it comes to the major leagues. Or incredibly content with everything they've achieved.

Both guys should have been day one picks for AEW, and pursued every second until a contract was locked in. Same with NXT, given there was ample opportunities over the last 10 years with ROH and TNA barely existing and several years where The Guns were essentially MIA.

Shelley has just completed more certifications as a physio or whatever he is, and that suggests he's focused on life outside of wrestling.

News was they were waiting for AEW creative to sign to paper. Which I could totally see. From what I seen over the years, is they do not care if they are the top team, so long as they are not the guys working for a big fed that were miserable with their direction like so many others that they came up with. They also do not seem to care at all if they are on TV or not, as they work tons of tier 2 indy feds.

If Shelley does not end up at the performance center at the end of his career I would be shocked. He is a guy they would want there to teach the people physio shit as they learn to prolong their careers.

Looks like WWE pissed off both CMLL and NJPW with the Steph signing and her cutting all dates while holding titles. Can't blame Steph though for wanting to start immediately, hotdogs and handshakes are not weekly paychecks. Think she is gonna fit into WWE just fine if she already realized end of the day, things are about making money.

WWE signed another female talent, DELTA. Never heard of her TBH but keep adding to the NXT pool by all means.
