Not sure the details but sounds like Lashley is walking as he was removed from the roster page and not signed a new deal. Really weird guy to lose. In WWE he may be just another guy, but give him to AEW or TNA and you send them a beast. Lashley is in a weird place where he has outgrown the midcard in WWE but is a step behind all the guys in the main event. They’re really running out of special attraction things to do with him (Omos, Seth, Kross). It’s clear they have no room for him in the world title picture and would feel weird to have him chasing someone like Sami for the IC title. It probably is best to let him go at this point and let him wrap his career up in TNA where he revived it the first time. He can sneak over and work some WWE dates through their partnership and if they ever got serious about some sort of crossover fight between the two brands, Lashley would be an obvious choice to lead the team. MVP and Tamina were also removed from the roster page. IIRC MVP was pretty vocal about Triple H rejecting a Hurt Business revival or something a few weeks back (I could be way off about that.. I haven’t been sleeping well lately). Tamina hasn’t been on tv in what feels like forever. I don’t know why any of them have been removed though.

Mercedes Mone loves Tamina so I can def. see her brought into AEW to be her muscle. Probably helps Tamina to work an easier schedule too. I'm just here for the groans from the AEW audience if/when that happens.
Tamina was with Bayley & Naomi for the Mercedes big fights in Stardom/AEW for her debut matches IIRC.

If AEW brings in Lashley, I hope they are smart enough to put a belt on him and have him be Brock 2.0. Give us the beast that WWE does not seem to want. I imagine TNA will if they end up with him. MVP if he is removed, I have to assume is going backstage. He did scouting stuff on one of their shows. Tamina can join RoH maybe as a favor. But she is like a Nyla with less personality. I imagine TNA will want her more though. They seem to be clawing back out of the pit they been in and starpower will be needed now to get a better TV deal. I also imagine that given the deal with WWE, TNA may get the rights to offer contracts before the WWE ones end.

Tamina wont be missed - she outstayed her welcome by at least 10 years.
And Bobby, well, it's probably a time to retire.

Bobby can still go, but he needs investment. WWE for some reason just would never invest in him. He works best as a beast. WWE def is losing nothing with him going though.

It was a typical WWE push. They did enough to make him seem important, but not enough to make him feel like the franchise. When Lashley came in, you could tell they had their reservations. Lashley was meant to carry them into the 2010s, he was meant to stand alongside Cena and Orton as one of the biggest stars moving forward. So when he upped and left, it clearly left a sour taste and it took awhile for the WWE to come around on him. Sure, they still saw enough money in him to find TV time for him and give him something to do on a weekly basis. However, he wasn't sniffing a WWE title match, even though that was something that could easily draw.
The best thing that happened to him was COVID. It gave the wrestlers more creative freedom, so when MVP took the Beat Down Clan and turned it into the Hurt Business, it made Lashley into a star. I remember there was a lot of discussion on here because they gave him the Full Nelson. You can always tell when Vince is interested when he starts allowing you to incorporate a new move.
Then the WWE tried to fix what wasn't broken and split MVP and Lashley. They'd already broken up the Hurt Business which didn't do anyone any favours and Bobby never really recovered. There was a slight glimmer of hope when they returned to the Brock/Bobby match which would have been a money match, but then they inexplicably had them go in different directions and Lashley ended up missing Mania altogether.
The Pride always came across to me like a new Los Boriquas. A stable just intended to fill that mid-card and there was never any upward trajectory.
So, they didn't make it everything it could be. Still, I wouldn't say it was a horrible run either or that they completely dropped the ball. They had it right on the money in 2020-22 and for that period alone, it was good business.
AEW is always a popular call for obvious reasons, but I'd personally love to see him in TNA/NJPW. Lashley was one of the best champions they ever had, I think it would do the most business and you could always parlay that into an AEW run afterwards.
Outside of Ricochet, there's very few wrestlers AEW should take directly from WWE.

Yup, when AEW can take from CMLL, DDT, TJPW and NJPW, there is no reason to really be taking most former WWE guys since they will cost 3 to 4 times that of international guys for the cheapest ones.
I would prefer now AEW stop signing WWE guys with the two exceptions being Ricochet and Becky. Ricochet would be awesome with the AEW crowd, and if you can get Becky, you get Becky.
But like get the standouts from WWE, not the chaff. Too much chaff in AEW as it is even if you release all the guys not on TV.

We getting worked or has she found being a stay home mom to be more rewarding? Either way she has had a heck of a career all things considered if this is it.

Lucha Bros have an offer for people who do not read the AEW news stuff. Deal is same pay as AEW for twice the dates. They would have to close to their school down too most likely due to the higher travel WWE demands. No one really know where this ends up, But they are getting older so it is now or never to have a serious run in WWE. Penta would be massive I think too in WWE.
WWE also looking at Starks and Garcia. Starks almost certainly will be jumping since Tony just benched him, Garcia I am not so sure about as the AEW crew went above and behind when he was in his car wreck before he was signed. I just do not see him really working in WWE, but support him if he wants to try to make it to Wrestlemania. Starks likely will be a big deal in WWE. Just fits him so much better.
Looking more and more like Z may be jumping when she gets a chance. She is not very happy with her spot on the roster and seems frustrated with her booking in general. She is locked in for at least another year though. Black silently signed an extension in AEW when they extended redid Buddy's contract after he asked for a release.
///
Also worth noting as of Sep 4th noncompetes are no longer valid so could see fast jumps.

I think people are reading too much into this. Becky is too young, and is going to get paid too much on a sweet schedule to boot to retire now. Trish is eleven years older and recently teased that she may not have had her last match, too; so I really don't believe it. 😂

I know we like to imagine people can do this forever, but they can't. Look at the guys for that matter who have arguably stayed that little bit too long - sure they " can go " still, but they're wrecks. Edge, Danielson, Rollins, Punk, etc we spend as much time talking about their injuries as we do their matches. Although Becky isn't in one of those permanently half broken states, I'd imagine she'd be smart enough to want to avoid it.

Becky Lynch is going to sign the best deal in history. She's going to be the female Brock Lesnar for the next 10 years.
That theme is gonna hit during the Women's Royal Rumble in January and the building is going to erupt. Then she'll work like half a dozen dates between Rumble and Mania, then show up whenever she feels like it the rest of the year. Rinse, repeat, collect millions of dollars.

I know we like to imagine people can do this forever, but they can't. Wrestlers are nuts. Even Shawn said that if he knew that the part-time Lesnar schedule was an option, that he probably wouldn't have retired at Mania vs. Taker. I think he needs both knees replaced; so he was willing to continue with that body lol.

I imagine next place we see Becky is in Japan. She never did get to work there proper. I do not see her turning down Tony money either for limited dates and you know the WWE girls now working AEW want matches with her outside of WWE.
Part of the WWE grind attitude is that limits really what you can offer people. Someone may not want to work 100+ dates a year but counter with 10 and will find them a lot more receptive.

My question is, is WWE going to give Knight a Gunther-type run with the US Championship so that the two elevate each other? Maybe not quite as long, but a solid year. Knight is 41, and I would also like to see him win the World title at some point.

I like Knight, but for the life of me I can't really remember any great feuds so far, at least in terms of length and depth. It's almost like he's been treated like a bit of an attraction so far due to how over he is, and how easy it is for him to pop the audience.

"Length and depth" are probably the keywords. Miz and Roman standout as the big opponents; I think Knight actually credited Miz for helping him get out of a funk he had been in on the main roster. Wyatt is really only notable because it was his last match in WWE. Knight has done well for himself for basically floundering for a year.

I very much think Cody took the spot being prime for Knight. Still, WWE clearly is behind him, so I imagine sooner or later he goes on a real run. Do wonder if the reason they back him so much is he was one of the guys that DeMott beat up before he got chucked. Like they scouted him early, wanted him, then DeMott beat the shit out of him in training they got WWE to release him. Cost Knight 5 years of development he could have had in WWE.

LA Knight has not had any long and deep feuds because there is no character there to have a deep feud with. His character is shallow, his feuds are shallow. That's fine. It's an act that works well, why fix what's not broken? We all love the long nuanced storylines, but there's space for some less intense content as well.

Looking like Lucha Bros are WWE bound. PAC joined BCC, won the trios titles in AEW and celebrated with Bryan. Clearly Death Triangle is no more and Lucha Bros nowhere to be seen on All In.
Garcia returned so rumors of him leaving may have been very premature.
