She better hope WWE treats her well. She just nuked every other bridge on the planet in the last couple days.Looking forward to seeing what she can do with the bigger presentation WWE offers. She’s got the talent, just have to bring it all together. What did she do, pull a Claudio and tell every booking she had scheduled to get fucked? She pulled a Sasha and walked away from her contract while she was champion. Well.. technically not like Sasha since she apparently didn’t even have a real contract to walk away from.

She’s got the talent, just have to bring it all together. What did she do, pull a Claudio and tell every booking she had scheduled to get fucked? Basically. Generally speaking you finish your scheduled dates before leaving for another company. Rarely is it a problem. I'm almost positive WWE would have let her finish her final dates before joining the company. Instead she pulled out of her final bookings, one of which is the NJPWxCMLL show that is happening tomorrow night in San Jose. It's a major annual show for both companies and the first one on American soil. She was scheduled to defend the CMLL Women's title. Instead it has been vacated and a triple threat was booked to crown a new champ. So not only did she pull out of a major show for the company that built her up and made her champion, but she's also staying in Mexico to appear for the new company on the same night they are running said major show. CMLL already has a history of having major trust issues, and when they finally overcome that to build relationships with American companies to increase their exposure, one of their biggest stars uses that exposure to immediately cut ties and go to WWE. They'll be fuming over this one for a while.

That's unprofessional as hell, but if she was abused in Mexico somehow, it makes it excusable.

That's unprofessional as hell, but if she was abused in Mexico somehow, it makes it excusable. People pointed to this as the reason she wanted to leave Mexico as fast as possible and why she canceled the dates. But now she is staying longer to join WWE on the Mexico tour. She would have left Mexico faster if she worked the CMLL/NJPW dates in the US.

She dropped her date for this week. WWE wanted her to wrestle this weekend, so instead of working small indy shows, she is making her WWE debut. Other feds are pissed she did not skip the WWE Mexican shows and drop belts for them instead.
Handshakes and hotdogs only get you so far though. She was right to work WWE instead this weekend.

Maybe, potentially the issue with AEW's open door MO. She isn't the first one to get what could be seen as a try out match on TV ( albeit, someone else's TV ) and then sign with WWE shortly after.
AEW told the world that this chick was a big deal and WWE said, thanks for that.

They likely scouted Steph when she was in Stardom. Tony offered a contract but she wanted to work WWE. Nothing really more to it than that. If someone dreams of being a WWE star, and WWE offers, they sign the contract.

x.com/WrestleOps/status/1812085654773281220iron maiden Losing Nattie would be a morale killer in the locker room and you'd get one of your premiere matchmakers/agents probably upset in Tyson Kidd too. Sensible move and Nattie as usual handles her business professionally and with minimal noise. Why she is still the longest tenured female in that company.

Smart move on their part. I am not sure losing Nattie would hurt WWE, but whoever picked up her up would benefit greatly from having her around. You just do not let people like her go work for your competition.

Thank the Gods for Jennie. And her... amazingly talented sister who had an stellar career as a respected veteran turned trainer/coach/agent who any worthwhile women's division would be lucky to have oversee it.

So great seeing the vids of Steph getting to wrestle in Mexico already in WWE. Can see it meant a lot to her. Know a ton hate her leaving so fast, but girl got to live her dream last night.
Seems WWE has a ton of faith in Isla Dawn, as that was who got to face Steph.

I'm happy for the MCMG. Sabin has had to overcome many injuries. In contrast, Shelly overcame bad booking during the early years.

After tonight Steph said she will be coming to NXT soon. Seems like she speaks English well. If that is the case, holy crap will she get a rocket attached to her. Her finisher, Punk's old welcome to chicago motherfucker or double arm backbreaker def will need to be changed as girls in WWE are a lot heavier than luchadors, but otherwise she seemed to work perfectly with Dawn.
Did not realize really until now too how rare she is. There are very, very few South American superstars.

I been a fan of Shelly since he first broke onto the scene with Jacobs outside of Chicago. I will be happy just seeing him finally get some real cash. Sabin never really cared for, but again, he put in serious time so be great to see him finally get a shot at cash. Do really hope they get sent to NXT to help the next gen, as opposed to buried on the main roster if they end up in WWE. While the fed they debut for NXT, WWE or AEW is still unknown, they said goodbyes this week on the indy scene so they are debuting this week it seems somewhere.

I echo c thoughts here. Good on them. It's probably 7 or 8 years too late, but it's still a good thing. Peak NXT, they would have been incredible considering the indie hotbed it was pre-pandemic.

Nothing new in terms of people.
But Bryan Alvarez is saying some Of the talent have told him that WWE will be allowing wrestlers to keep their name after leaving WWE. An exact quote he has, “when you leave, they hand everything over to you now.”
This is huge.

Smart move by HHH. Sometimes someone just does not work out. Then they got elsewhere and become a star and they sign them back. Having one name makes it easier on WWE fans to track their fav WWE guys when they are not currently in WWE, which then makes it a bigger deal when they return.

I thought it was downright mean spirited when they wouldn't let Cody use Rhodes.
What we're they going to do? Create a fake Cody and have subpar rookie take on all his mannerisms and pretend he was still there?

Nothing though will ever beat when Stokey bought the trademark for Chuck Taylor in Chikara and assumed his identity, and Chuck had to go by Dustin instead.

Not sure the details but sounds like Lashley is walking as he was removed from the roster page and not signed a new deal. Really weird guy to lose. In WWE he may be just another guy, but give him to AEW or TNA and you send them a beast.
