I just wanted Brit to come out and say the two following lines :
" I've seen a lot of fake smiles in my time, but that's the worst one... "
And
" I hope you know good dentist, because I'm about to knock those teeth down your throat! "

Well, may not happen because Banks likely is not in contention for the main belt. I see her taking Julia's belt, not Toni's. Britt comes back will be to face Toni most likely.

Dave Melzter is reporting that there are women backstage at AEW who are ‘unhappy’ about the amount of money Tony Khan is paying Mercedes Mone simply because of ‘her name’,
The internal belief is that the women who have been there since day one and have shed blood for the company and helped build it aren’t getting even 10% of what Mercedes will be getting paid
Melzter also reports that there are AEW ‘higher ups’ who aren’t impressed with Mone’s comments regarding her “certainly heading back to WWE one day” just weeks after she’d signed her AEW contract.

Boo hoo to the people whining. She is a name. That matters, or at least it mattered to the guy with the money. Regarding the second point, I 100% agree that fucking blows for AEW to know you’re just a paycheck between her two WWE contracts.

Of course they will be jealous she is beyond them. Tony needs to stop making everyone seem even. He should have had her went over Toni within the first few months to actual make use of her star power. But he going to make her have a 20 minute close match with the women mid card. Doing nothing for his business.
Just waiting on the heel turn from the first woman who says she is only her for money. And the other women who have been here since the beginning desire more.

Missed this, but can you blame them? Got a handful of girls now that did blades and shit like tacks for Tony making a tenth of what Mone is making. Also bet it is not just the girls. She is making more than most of the guys too. And yeah I do not expect her to re-sign at all. She will do her contract then return to the bigger stage if they make a serious offer.

Regarding the second point, I 100% agree that fucking blows for AEW to know you’re just a paycheck between her two WWE contracts. Thing now is, AEW is paying her so much, WWE may not match. So for her to jump back, she may end up taking a steep pay cut. WWE signs her at top dollar, a lot of girls there will be upset that Banks leaves, then comes back for top dollar, why they stayed and get essentially punished for doing so.

The return on this investment will never pay off.
It's agured Banks is a draw, but the socials (AEW's socials that is) suggest most fans already hate her. So if the expectation is, she will help grow the audience, it's not going to happen.
Something incredible happened a month or so ago, WWE bought in Rock and expected the fans to eat it up. They pivoted upon getting the opposite reaction and gave us the biggest heel in wrestling. The moral of the story is, they need to turn Banks heel and let her be hated.

The other lesson to take away is that The Rock was used to prop up Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
The equivalent would see The Rock paired up with somebody of Alpha Academy or somebody of Grayson Waller's standing (even the latter maybe generous).
It's a case of not setting the table properly. Coming into this Willow wasn't utilised as well as she should have been and had very little momentum to work a program of this magnitude. As a result instead of hitting the ground running, they're playing catch-up to sell this match. I wouldn't dive off the deep end yet but instead of it being a run-away success it's been mixed. The crowds have been up, but the ratings have remained stagnant and that has to be a concern.
It'll be interesting to see how they pivot at Dynasty. If it was my call, I'd get the Mercedes/Willow match out of the way on Dynamite and quickly set up another match on the PPV so we can build some momentum. Spoil the fans a little, build some momentum and set up some quality matches. I'm not sure why Serena Deeb has barely been on TV because that's exactly the type of opponent you'd want to build for Mercedes.
What I wouldn't have done is have her open up Dynamite twice, cut the same promo where she repeats herself constantly and then makes everyone sit through a promo package of herself. Between that and the Ospreay promo, last week's Dynamite felt repetitive despite having two major matches on the card in Okada's single's debut and the conclusion to Copeland/Cage.
When it comes to TV, I think fans tend to underestimate flow. When you have a big match like Okada/Kingston, following it up with a long Jericho/Hook match that ends in a flash pin does nothing for the show. That's why Collision tends (or at least tended to) hold it's audience better because the show flowed better from the opener to the main event.
