Kahnle was rolling, I would have let him pitch until someone got on instead of bringing in Weaver for a 5 out save on the road in a 1 run game.

Weaver was terrific in the 9th, gotta give Boone his due. Good bullpen management.

I saw a Yankee fan on TikTok say he’s jealous of the Mets. He said being a Yankees fan is like having an important Corporate job where you are expected to win and constantly harassed for underperforming.

While the Mets are a job with Grimace, Latin music stars and entertainment. Even if they fall short, they’ll still be loved for the effort.

Mets have a higher payroll than the Yanks(lot of salary eating of Verlander, Scherzer and McCann) and been to the world series more recent.

Steve Cohen has done the impossible and made the Yanks the underdog of the two sides. The Mets needing to steal the Yanks bench coach to be their manager makes NYY more likable to the masses.

I genuinely hope he isn't calling the ALCS. 

Liberty and Yanks have the ability to make my night really good after seeing Hackett lose his OC position. So far, so good. 

I'm sure it's a drag if you're watching the games but someone cut up a video of all the times Costas was talking about how Stanton can't run and it's pretty hilarious. You'd think he had insulted his mother or something.

RIGHT ON CUE LMFAO

Stanton hits a ground rule double and Costas said he doesn't run all that well and he's in 2B standing. :lol: 

Playoff Giancarlo is just something else man. Guy is earning that mega deal with these crucial at bats this series alone.

Not much to say on this game, but one quick note about what Costas was just talking about:

1) Buck ONeil was awesome
2) If you ever go to KC, stop in at the Negro League museum. Its not the most innovative museum, but it does a good job of capturing a great subject.

(Also earlier he mentioned KC barbecue. Joes BBQ Z-Man sandwich is my recommendation)

That was brutal here. The announcers, the crowd, even the initial camera angle had me believing it was gone.

I haven’t watched much baseball since I cancelled cable, but many props to the MLB for the pitching rule changes. Having to pitch to 3 guys or end an inning, the pitch clock, the lack of time outs for the pitcher and hitter are all improvements.

From 100+ losses to an ALDS appearance with a playoff series win vs a good Orioles side. Good season man. Royals hopefully open up the pockets a little more as shown with the mega deal for Witt and get a couple of good bats and you'll be back. Quatraro is a good manager too. 

AL Central gets a bad rap since the White Sox were a joke and inflated the other 4 teams wins but all 4 sides are pretty good teams and have a nice young nucleus to build off so they aren't going anywhere.

With the Juan Soto sweepstakes coming soon, Yanks time is now to win one. Now or never. 

Well that is upsetting to wake up to, the royals losing.

Soto for sure. Lane was nice for us but Soto is a fucking hero around these parts. He can win NY a ring before coming back home.
