I stand by my statement - AEW does PPV well, and TV terribly.

The first half of the show was passable - mostly clusterfuck type matches, with high spots and lots of fun.. but not necessarily, necessary. This show felt... long.

I liked the Storm v May match, especially the storytelling.

Gauntlet match, I have no idea who won. I feel asleep here.

The Ospreay v MJF was fantastic. Ospreay was phenomenal as always. Not nearly enough credit goes to MJF on how good he is. Great match.

Banks v Brit. I probably should have slept here instead.

Wait, I think I like Jack Perry after seeing him beat the piss out of that bitch Darby. I liked that. Darby is such a bitch.

Main event time...

Danielson must be the only person to land on the back of his head and bleed from the front...

MOTY. Absolute banger. Brilliant.

Britt flopped in the match with MM. The final stretch of the match was fine but man, what a bummer. The battle royal was tons of fun. Christan winning feels redundant but I am interested in seeing where his story goes from here. Darby as Hellrazier was great. He made Jack look like a beast. Daniel Garcia fucking up MJF's life was great storytelling. What a magical main event.

Swerve vs Danielson was brilliant, as expected. If I had to point out a flaw, it's that they hammed up the family stuff too much, but that's nitpicking. Fantastic work from both men.

I didn't see Perry vs Darby, and I'm not going to, but looks like Perry was given a much needed credibility boost.

Britt vs Mone sucked. I'm not surprised it sucked. Conversely, Storm vs May was awesome. I wasn't sold on the angle at first but they both made it work. May went from a lackey to a star in a few short weeks. Bravo. I'm glad they went ALL IN and put her over the seemingly unbeatable champion.

Ospreay vs MJF was...underwhelming. Maybe I got spoilt by their Dynamite match. It was good of course, but not great. But it ended exactly as it should have. Garcia prevents the cheap win, Ospreay drops MJF on his head, game over. Sometimes predictable is awesome.

The Gauntlet match was so much fun, coming from someone who normally skips. Pretty much every entrant was a huge pop. Nigel McGuinness, Zack, Okada, Ricochet, Hangman. Brilliant. And all that for Christian Cage to win, after Luchasaurus tease anticlimax #9282903. YAWN.

The only other thing I watched was Jamie Hayter's return. FUCK YEAH. Keep her away from Britt Baker please, unless it's Hayter destroying Britt in a few seconds.
