Was another solid week for the Steelers, Fields is showing flashes, but still firmly in just good enough territory, granted they stole a TD from him on a(nother) bogus OPI. Still, if Russ is ready to go week 3, might still have to see what he’s got left in the tank in comparison, but Fields goes off or just holds fast to 3/4-0…then Russ is probably riding the bench. Have to wait and see.

Jesus, awful. Wouldn’t even put it on the refs. There was a lot of poor discipline out there from both teams. Good to win these games I guess but need to tighten it up next week.
In other news, the Alvin Kamara touchdown bit on HTC was fantastic 😂

What Kevin O’Connell is doing with turning bum QBs into serviceable ones is amazing. I love how everyone counted Jettas out this season because of Darnold. Two games, two tuddies. Not to mention, a 97 yard TD yesterday in DOUBLE COVERAGE! Luckily his injury was just a bruise, so he’ll be alright.
Green Bay answered the call too with Malik Willis. I thought facing such a run heavy team would be too much for GB to handle but nope. I don’t know what’s up with Detroit but something feels off compared to last season. The Bears D is doing their thing but that O-Line is not giving Caleb enough time to do anything. I also feel like their offensive play calling hasn’t changed one bit swapping from Fields to Caleb.
Caleb, Daniels and Nix have zero passing TDs combined so far.
Jets and Cowboys offenses are pretty hard to watch.
Lamar Jackson doesn’t know how to play with Derrick Henry. The Steelers being 2-0 while only scoring one TD so far is The Steeler Way. Burrowhead my ass.

I said for a few years that if you just let Darnold play without ultra conservative coaching and/or trying to make him a methodical pocket passer the way Gase was trying to, you have something in him. He has low football IQ which is why you make him feel rather than think as a passer and you'll be amazed at some of the big time throws he has on him. I know ex Jets GM Mike McCagnnan is somewhere saying "I told you" when he traded up future 2nds to get Darnold years ago. I've always liked Sam and am really happy he's finding a spot, I think Kyle Shanahan maybe helped him out from a football IQ perspective last year when Darnold was on the bench.
It's the same thing with Geno Smith although he was less of an athlete than Darnold was and more disciplined as a pocket passer. He just needed maturity and it took a lot of "Near end of the line career wise" moments for that to happen but I am so happy he got an extension in Seattle, always root for him. He got sucker punched in the locker room over a bet and lost his job and had a coach(Rex Ryan) who hated him since he was an Idzik pick given Rex/Idzik had a control clash by 2013.
Now I just need Sean Payton to let Zach Wilson go at it. Bo Nix doesn't give you any juice on offense, Zach Wilson plays Will Levis ball of backbreaking decisions and some god given arm talent and runs but it gives you life.
Knowing how much of an ego Payton has, he is saving Zach Wilson purposedly for relief duties Week 4.........................................vs the Jets in MetLife. That has "Zach Wilson revenge game" written all over it and can see a 2nd half destruction of the Jets D who gave Wilson a miserable time throughout the years here.

The thing about this Packers team as opposed to the Rodgers era is the amount of talent and depth and almost every position. Love is still what takes us to the next level but we are capable of winning games against mediocre teams because of the talent acquired and coaching. Something that could never be said in the past.

I said Bo Nix was this years Kenny Pickett. So much preseason hype only to play real games and do nothing. The Broncos offense is a mess too. Coaching should be to blame for it too. This carousel they’re using with their RBs is dumb too. They won’t even give Javonte or Jaleel a chance to get hot and get going. To think Zack Wilson will thrive in that system is ridiculous too. They're certainly not going to give up on Bo to go with Wilson that soon. That would be very careless for the organization.

They need to open the playbook up because teams just stack the box on their offense. I hope Sutton gets trade deadline dealt somewhere, he seems to be caught in no man's land (again). Teams like Washington or Pittsburgh or New England and Cleveland would be after him, basically the runner ups to Aiyuk sweepstakes.

Alabama should be a no draft zone if you’re looking for QBs from now on.

Alabama should be a no draft zone if you’re looking for QBs from now on. Tua was good just really cursed with the head injuries, unfortunate. He has some bad turnovers in him though. I like Milroe somewhat though, he is out of the Nick Saban system and still performing. Probably needs to sit wherever he is drafted.

I immediately thought of Kareem Hunt with the Pacheco injury, some smoke is out there from the local sports radio stations that Chiefs would consider it.
I’ve also read McKinnon who had been with the Chiefs, Boston Scott, and Frank Gore Jr off the Bills practice squad.

I don’t know why, but I completely forgot he was available. That would be so dope! I wouldn’t mind McKinnon either, but there’s no way you can trust Steele season long. He runs very recklessly and not good reckless like Pacheco.

During the second quarter with the Green Bay offense at third down and 10, center Josh Myers appeared to vomit on the field before immediately snapping the ball to Willis.
Instead of throwing the football – as is common on third and long – Willis took off and ran, gaining around three yards before being tackled. According to Packers head coach Matt LeFleur, Willis explained that he elected to run because Myers had actually thrown up on the football itself.
“I asked Malik why he didn’t throw the ball on that third down, and he told me Josh threw up on the ball,” said LaFleur. “I was like, ‘That’s the first time I ever heard that!’
“The official came over to me, and said, ‘We saw your center throwing up on the ball, do you want us to take him out next time?’ I said, ‘Absolutely, please do that,’ because you’re talking about a critical situation, and it’s third down, and I’ve never had to throw with vomit on the foot.UT Funny story.

Crazy how fast the landscape of the NFL changes. The Saints were considered the most boring team in the NFL and as @admin mentioned, having the least optimistic fanbase going into the season (myself included). So far after two games, they’ve been one of the most exciting teams in the league. Scoring on their first 15 drives to start the season. Kubiak’s offensive system is working magic. Carr looks rejuvenated. AK is back to looking like his prime self. The maligned offensive line has been one of the best units in the NFL. The best part of this is that it allows DA to focus on what he does best; coaching the defense. I don’t know if this will continue but I’m enjoying the ride so far. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m buying my Super Bowl tickets and booking my hotel for February.

I’d love for the Chiefs to 3Peat by beating Derek Carr and the Saints in New Orleans to complete this villainous trilogy.
