Went to NYG and took down Eli Manning's streak which forever made him and Ben McAdoo enemies in Giants fandom and backed up Rivers in SD before being Russell Wilson's backup....then the rest was history.

Mark Sanchez who I liked but he came out early from USC(As Pete Carroll sadly predicted) and Brian Schottenheimer didn't want to let the kid loose until the playoffs where he had no choice. He was learning while on a title contender so it was real trial by fire.

Tajh Boyd was a Rex Ryan pick due to his son Seth Ryan's connection in Clemson. He did nothing. 


If we go farther back, Kellen Clemens should have gotten starts over whatever was left of Brett Favre's body here in NY but Favre had "The Streak" going for him so he'd rather suffer PTSD on the field and flirt with our hot female employees than give up that position. Chad Pennington was my guy too and it was fitting he ended the 08 Jets as a Miami Dolphin. Just snakebitten with health & injuries.

Oh and Brad Smith MIZZOU great but he never played QB minus Wildcat formations. Hell of a kick returner and trick play though. Sucks he went to Buffalo and was never heard from again but he got the money. 

No, sorry ... I mean around 2021, it was clear they needed a QB. The draft was WEAK ... what you had rather seen them do? Low-cost veteran or gamble on Zack "I'll Soak In Your Mom" Wilson?

I liked Zach but the issue is he was thrown to the wolves year 1 with a new OC in Mike LeFleur(Rams OC now) so he didn't really have anyone to learn on. I think Mike White was his backup QB to learn under and he never got a start either, although I think Joe Flacco was brought in year 2? Also had a brand new head coach in Saleh, a defensive mind at that so where was Zach going to learn from?

Sam Darnold was going to be let go because they wanted Zach at 2 and due to his rookie deal about to lapse so he was on the wrong timetable. Couple of people wanted Darnold to be kept and Jets to take Penei Sewell at 2 or one of the playmakers like Chase or trade down and get Kyle Pitts or something. 

Justin Fields was the projected #2 pick but Zach Wilson made the pretty throws and won Joe Douglas over. Zach Wilson was given the keys to the team way too easily, he didn't really earn it but that isn't on him. NYJ didn't really sign anyone who would challenge him for the gig.

I watched on delay and thought something tragic must have happened the rate Blindy was posting, but no, this was about as nondescript a game as there could possibly be. :lol:

Rodgers looks good and once he and Wilson can improve their chemistry/timing then this offence should really hum. Patriots look every bit like a #1 draft pick contender, that o-line is a complete train wreck.

After consulting the wisdom of @admin, I got NFL game pass (via YouTube) and it’s so much better than watching via Kayo here.

So on Kayo (streaming service) it just shows the Australian ESPN coverage of only a handful of the games. So you still get to see the game HOWEVER you get the same 4 commercials OVER AND OVER for the entire game.

One for AEW. One with Jayson “with a y” Tatum, one with some guy waiting for an alligator mascot before he goes golfing. And lastly people having music intro in a conference room.

It's amazing how good Levis can do but in one dumb play he erases everything. He had so many good moments last week vs NYJ's defense with some beauty deep throws but he had that idiotic fumble from a back lateral. This week he throws a telegraphed pick six to Jaire Alexander with no real care in the world.

Mason Rudolph is probably going to come in very soon, only going to be a matter of time.

I don’t know how or why he threw that ball. Jaire was sitting on it hard.

He was horrendous for holding onto the ball too long. Probably took more sacks that were his fault than any other QB. He was good at scrambling and the Texans had a big threat over the top with Fuller which kept secondaries honest. He always had a bigger arm than he was credited with in college but with the Browns he looks like a bit of a noodle arm.
