This is factually untrue; Xavier Becerra has been Sec. of HHS for pretty much Biden's entire term (except for the first couple of months when Norris Cochran served as a placeholder during the Trump/Biden handoff) to go combing through the administration all the way down to find the Assistant Secretary as proof of the Woke Agenda is like some unhinged leftist digging through someone's Twitter feed to find something edgy they said at the age of like 15. Sure, people do it but are they worth listening to? Making a Fox News daytime host secretary of defense is idiotic. That's the best willing to work for him? We're going to get eaten up by Putin and China. You forgot to mention that he’s a decorated combat veteran who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and also worked at GITMO. Not to mention a Harvard and Yale grad. He became an anchor on Fox after those things. Hegseth is literally PERFECT for this role and I didn’t see this coming. Plus, he’s hot. Hesgeth did serve in Iraq and Afghanistan, which is certainly more than my high-school-JROTC ass has ever done, but he is a major. If he did not have that TV recognition, no one would ever have heard of him. To be clear: a major is O-4 (of 10 or 11). Doing well for yourself for sure, but to jump from 4 to in charge of the whole thing? I don't see how he's on anyone's draft boards if not for his Fox experience to be clear:

There is just something nutty about RFK's stance on fluoride in the water. 🙄
Basically double the recommended amount, and too much of *anything* is bad for you.
If you work out heavily, you do need a little bit of salt after exercising to replenish what's lost. Too much salt, of course, causes severe health issues but no one would say one should eliminate any and every salt from one's diet.
A woman died back in the day for a radio station Wee for Wii contest when she drank too much water too fast and it caused water intoxication, but certainly no one would say drinking water is unhealthy.
Too much oxygen can harm your lungs.
Portland, as you noted, has never fluoridated its water supply. If it makes a difference, then shouldn't they predictably and consistently score higher on IQ tests than the rest of us drugged-up normies? Wouldn't this be observable by now?

Michinokudriver   Tooth decay has declined precipitously regardless of fluoridated water. If the fluoridation is of no benefit, and it does not seem to be, then there is no rationale for its use. As Brainworm Bobby points out, any time that he has litigated a case, there are experts on both sides, sometimes graduates of the same university, arguing exact opposite points. One individual can find a study pointing to the ill effects of fluoride in water, another can find a study that concludes the opposite ... Fluoridated water seems to fall under the category, 'probably won't help; might hurt'.

It's frustrating how things like fluoride in the water are so fraught. I mean, the stated benefits are reduced tooth decay and that's it... I'm not sure that if it was a decision being made today that it would be considered just cause for adding chemicals to the water supply. It's weird how fiercely people argue for it... I mean at beaty it's a mild benefit with little risk, but it gets spoken of like the polio vaccine. Maybe the US needs to get rid of fluoride and instead look at your labelling laws and sugar content.

Even within the context of knowing that the easiest political win in the US right now is to do something that makes things more difficult for trans people.
