Female superheroes just don’t do it for me. It doesn’t relate for me. I can’t stand Brie. The movie was so blah. So forced. So bullshit. Maybe I’m not MCU-ey enough, but I was honestly bored watching it. My beloved wife even found it boring and hard to get through. It’s probably the most overrated movie that I can remember watching. Don’t get me started on her in Avengers End Game either.

Not what I’m saying.

Focusing on whether it’s not seeing white males that doesn’t resonate. Those are the two examples. I can understand people who take that perspective, but it’s exactly why these films are needed: White Males make up less than one quarter the total population in America. If they’re turned off by seeing anything other than themselves on-screen, imagine the opportunity that exists in representing the other 75 percent of Americans?

This in mind, it’s not a coincidence BP and Captain Marvel are the only non-RDJ MCU films to cross $1B threshold.

To be fair to Kid.. Captain Marvel was my least favorite part of Endgame. I really felt that if you take her out of it, you have a more complete movie. Just rewrite how Tony and robot girl get home and you have a better movie without CM. I say this as an advocate for strong female Super Hero leads and as someone who believes Wonder Woman is the best SH origin movie out there.

Agree. Nebula deserved better treatment in Endgame IMO. Have her engineer a way to get her and Tony somewhere. Fuck Captain Marvel.

And the Captain Marvel movie itself was really enjoyable IMO as well. Worst part was casting of CM. Something about Brie Larson really just seems unlikable. It's like an anti-charisma or something. Even goes as far back as her best movie, 21 Jump Street. Cast someone more likable in that role and virtually all problems solved.

Hulk, War Machine, and Scarlet Witch suffered from the same problem. They only managed to address the issue with Hulk and War Machine though.

That all said, I have no idea who I would've cast as Marvel. Definitely would've cast Jamie Foxx as War Machine from the get-go though.

Speaking of casting. I thought they lost their mind when they cast Michael B. Jordan. And that dude knocked it out of the park. And you’re not wrong about Brie. She is so unlikeable.

Captain Marvel was ok, Brie Larson comes across incredibly unlikeable In interviews so that made it hard to enjoy her character.
Seeing her interviews alongside the cast who all seem to hate her, then the joke in the Spider-Man Trailer and scenes cut from Endgame seems like I’m not alone in that opinion.

The Auntie Anne’s pretzel place in my town has done that. Twice.

Mostly disappointed as I was getting in shape with the aim to get back in the ring in 2020. There’s other promotions but most don’t pay, and I’m not taking a Sat night off work (paid more on weekends), to wrestle for free, especially when I don’t have any new merch left to sell.

So, now the drafting part is over I thought I'd stop fucking around with the most obvious work going and the "is it him, isn't it?" silly stuff! How the fuck is everybody? Decided I'd drop in and see how everyone is - and what better way to drop back in than taking part in a Fan Fic Draft? Always fun on the bun. I've lurked the last couple of years reading threads on here every now and then, but until recently I didn't get the urge to post and check in with everyone. It's cool to see how everyone's life is developing, we were all one big family on the old board so it feels nice to see people progress and achieve so many great things. I visited the States for the first time last September - fell in love with the place. We did a road trip around the West Coast for a couple of weeks. Los Angeles > San Francisco > Yosemite > Las Vegas. The trip of a lifetime. Tell me Fan Fic, what cool shit have you been up to in recent times?!

I kept hailing cabs and initially be confused when they’d pull up on the other side of the road when I was in NYC, I can’t imagine actually driving there

There were 7 of us for the majority of the trip (we were driving a monstrosity - big ass SUV!), but only 2 of the party were allowed to drive. Thankfully I didn't make the cut and enjoyed being a passenger. One of my friends found it alright, as he's used to automatics and it didn't take him long to get his head around driving on the right. My other friend almost killed us when we were driving through Death Valley en route to Vegas, so less said about him the better.

He posted pretty much exclusively in HoW - big ECW fan and commented on a lot of your stuff. I got on great with him whenever I interacted him. He was like the Hunter S. Thompson of the HoW board - can you remember the guy I mean?! It's bugging me that I've forgot his username.

We been missing you round here bubba, so great to hear that you are doing good. You're talking about Fezz. I sent him a link to this place right before the old one shut down but I don't think he ever seen it. Kilgore tried to message him on Youtube but he didn't get a reply

Fezz, that's the mo'fucker! Loved that guy, he was absolutely brilliant. That HoW sub-forum was just a total encyclopedia of wrestling knowledge with some of the finest personalities commentating on it all. Was always a pleasure to read your musings, while Baker and Kilgore were total class acts. Fezz was of course the man. Strobe always delivered the goods too. What a sub-forum.

Yeah HOW was really something else around 2013-2015ish, I never really seen anything like it on any other forum since. American Hardcore Theatre was almost like the last little island for the OG ECW fans to go to on the internet and we had a nice collection of them, I mean people who went to shows back in the day and lived it. Tornados hit north of my area last night. PW is being attacked!

I live in Oklahoma so.. if you’ve been watching the news you pretty much know how things have been for us these last two weeks. Also, our flood level is currently at 42 feet. So.. most of our bridges in and out of our area are closed. This hasn’t been the best spring for us.
