So the family cat (who lives at my parents) got attacked by a Pitbull today in the yard. By some miracle, my neighbor (a retired NYPD officer who happens to be a female) was outside. She leaped into action and put the dog in a headlock and started punching it in the face. Her daughter was outside with her and held the cat down so the dog couldn’t rag doll it as he was still in the dogs mouth. My other neighbor came outside during the commotion and finally freed the cat by spraying the hose at the whole scramble.

My parents are on vacation and my sister gets the phone call about the attack and calls me frantic crying saying “the dog attacked the cat and there’s blood everywhere.” I grab my wife and kid and we drive there. Of fucking course we get caught behind a funeral line of cars and it slows down my drive. I get there and they’re carrying the cat a block and a half away to the vets office. Thanks to those neighbors who jumped into action immediately, all he has is a handful of bite marks and no deep punctures. They’re keeping the cat to make sure that he doesn’t get pulmonary embolism but my heart was nearly broken today.

The neighbors who own the Pittbull were being cunts and saying their pittbull got provoked?! In our yard?! How is that possible?! Those cocksuckers forgot to shut the gate, let the dog out and he came running across the street at the cat just chilling in the yard. What a fucking day.

Shit, that's fucking nuts. I tend to side with animals over asshole owners. And pitbulls in particular get an unfair bad rap. Anyway... I say put the pitbull owners down, and relocate the pitbull somewhere it can't wreak havoc on other families' animals. But definitely put the pitbull owners down.

Especially as a fellow cat owner/lover, and after having to unexpectedly put mine down in March, my heart is with yinz and hope your cat pulls through, KING KID.

I just finished framing a 5,500 square foot house with just my little brother and about a half a dozen pussy helpers we burned through that couldn't last more than a day or two. I agree. Everyone who defends pitts say they’re friendly dogs and good family dogs. That’s nice. If you want one, make sure your fucking fence is shut and it can’t get out. The fact that my cat who is the definition of a “scaredy cat” got attacked in our fucking yard is ridiculous.

Honestly, if it wasn’t for my neighbors heroic shit, I would be so devastated and out for fucking blood. It’s a weird thing for me to get really emotional, but that shit really put me in that spot. Honestly speaking, the dogs face was fucked up with cat scratches but that’s what happens in a battle for life. I just hope the cat stays in stable health. His temp was low yesterday, but they were working on stabilizing that with heating pads.

The neighbor with the head lock and punches can’t believe she fought a pittbul either. She said once her adrenaline went away, she was thinking “holy shit I could’ve died.” Because the pittbull was huge.
