Pits have the capacity to be good dogs but decades of selective breeding and genetics have great capacity for harm, too. If you're going to own an animal like that, proper precautions need to be taken and I really believe it should be a requirement to take a class or something to educate one's self on the dangers involved before you're allowed to adopt/rescue.

A lot of pit owners really need to educate themselves and stop jumping to the offensive when someone gives them facts that are contrary to what they choose to hear. They DEFINITELY have no business being guide/rescue dogs for those with special needs.

I have one meathead Pit roaming my back yard because I have expensive tools that I can't afford to buy again.

It's weird man because we've grown up with pit bulls inside the house with us my whole childhood. We had a bad ass one named Fagan for a really long time and then when I was a teen we had a beautiful red nose named Reba, she was the most awesome fucking dog ever I really miss her. Neither of those Pits ever hurt anybody and they were really loving family dogs that protected us kids(with that said though I would NEVER trust one around any kids on my watch). Reba did take down a horse once though, we lived out in the middle of nowhere and a dude rode his horse down the road in front of our house while we were all outside washing our car and she took the thing down to the ground, it was crazy.

But real talk, I will hate pitbulls forever.

I have no dog in this fight (hehe) but I think it comes down to owner more than breed.

I was raised to be afraid of pit bulls. They were in the news a lot as "the world's most dangerous dog!" when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s and it really struck a chord with my mom. She basically gave my brother and I "pitbull training" right after telling us not to go swimming for a half hour after we eat and how swallowing gum will cause it be stuck inside your body for 7 years.

But the pitbulls I actually met in real life were super sweet. The Three Brothers who you may know from my long-winded 90s wrestling stories had a very friendly pitbull mix called Sadie. My cousin (who you also may know from my 90s wrestling stories) and his wife also had a pitbull named Marley who is one of the nicest dogs I ever met.

Then you have asshole people with asshole dogs like what KING KID is dealing with and all those alarmist news stories from the 80s & 90s.

Ha! There's zero chance of me being able to write a fed. But I will continue to brainstorm a new one every three weeks getting my own hopes up in the process.

You guys shoulda made a thread for giggles even if you had zero intention of ever following up.

I’m binge watching this shit today and it’s incredible. Still on season 1, but it’s fucking incredible.

We wanted there to be a few seasons ready for when you start binging. If we told you after the first one, you'd have less to consume ya fat fuck.

Haven't seen it myself, but thinking of adding it to my list. ATM I'm working on The Wire (just finished S2) so it'll be a while.

The Wire is incredible. When you’re done with that, jump into this show. It’s also about kids, but completely different personalities. Equally as badass.

The fuck, Kid? UT only had it as his avatar for ages and anybody who discussed it only talked it up. Will say, Season Two kind of mellowed me out on it. Not bad, a couple of nice developments, but a couple of lame ones as well.

I don't know. I don't pay attention to things unless it's shoved personally in my face.

But I watched Episode 3 and then hit the sack. I'll definitely let you know when I get there.

Perhaps Kid just discovered Netflix. I remember Merle saying OITNB wasn't a real show because it wasn't on TV...

I knew about Netflix BUT I don't ever have time for anything. Game of Thrones was all the time I could give.

LOL .. I still just watch the Office on loop. 2 episodes a night when I’m working. We watch Gilmore Girls replays and Master Chef during dinner time with the kids. That’s about the grand extent of my television viewing.

Today my beautiful boy is officially a 1 year old!

I can’t believe how fast that first year went. It’s been amazing. It will always be the best thing in the world for me to be a father.

I still don't know a single fucking thing about GoT, but rad's new fed is a hoot!
