The fuck, Kid? UT only had it as his avatar for ages and anybody who discussed it only talked it up. Will say, Season Two kind of mellowed me out on it. Not bad, a couple of nice developments, but a couple of lame ones as well. Tell me your thoughts on Episode 7. You'll know exactly the episode when you get to it. Steve. I don't know how Kid hadn't seen the hype until now unless he was living under a rock. It's my favorite show around right now and climbing up the all time ranks - it's just amazing and fun. I haven't had a chance to finish Season 3 yet because Netlfix releasing it over an incredibly busy week for me but I can't wait until I can. Also I read today or yesterday that the numbers of people watching this show , on this release have broken all kind of digital records with quite insane totals. Even more proof Kid lives under a rock. Weirdo rock dweller. @thekid - some people didn't love Season Two - I did - minus one episode which was a really weird detour. It doubles down on so much of the formula and characters and I don't see you being let down.

I still don't know a single fucking thing about GoT, but rad's new fed is a hoot! Aww, shucks! Thanks for reading, brother! If you ever get the chance to, I highly recommend reading the books first rather than watching the TV series. It's an amazingly rich and vibrant world to immerse yourself in once you get past all the needless descriptions of food, clothing and pages-upon-pages of geneaology lol.

Well, I walked into work at 7 and at 730am, was offered a $100,000 a year position in Corporate to help them launch in Pennsylvania. I’m mind blown and way too tired to make a life changing decision right now.

It's a big move and risk to take your family to a new area, but I say take the chance. Join the 1% with 🤯.

$70k I'll take that extra five. It was decent money for my job back when I was living in Pittsburgh. Cost of living in Boston is like 40%-300% more expensive than Pittsburgh depending on your source. And my gracious company offered zero compensation adjustment for the relocation. I feel like a battered spouse in an abusive relationship sometimes with this company. They keep doing me shitty, and yet I keep refusing to leave. Dafuq is my problem? KING KID, where in PA? In Philly, I imagine $100k goes half the distance it goes in Pittsburgh. Meanwhile, $100k is probably as good as a million in places like Erie. Scranton, Harrisburg... but then that means you gotta be in Erie, Scranton, Harrisburg (but all are WAY better than Filthadelphia).

Philadelphia, 🤯. $3900 Bi-weekly is the price they told me, which irritates my OCD because just round that shit to $4,000, but yes. They set me up for an interview (which is weird since they OFFERED ME the position) for next Wednesday, but I am excited/nervous/unsure right now. Change drives me crazy, but this is some life changing money for my family. I'll see how it goes. They also pay for a pad to live for me to relocate there, which I'm obviously going to turn down because I am not leaving my wife/kid/home for work. Maybe I'll take it and turn it into a whore house. I don't know. We'll see what happens.

Lmao @ness And 🤯, believe me, it’s not the fact that I am a certified EMT thats getting me this. It’s years and years of promotions in companies to expanding my knowledge to becoming a dispatcher and learning finances of the insurance companies that got me here. This shit took work and motivation.

Why wouldn't you just take your family with you to the house they put you up in? When I transferred from Calgary to Saskatoon the company rented me a 2-bedroom apartment for 3 months so my family could come with me. It was pretty sweet.

I couldn't do it myself that's for sure. I moved closer just to put a 40 min - hr commute to 20 mins. Course I don't own a home or have a family, so it's a different animal.

I just accepted a new role (lateral) but got a bump in salary to $160K. Bonus is up to 40% annual salary, and I still get a monthly stipend for my car and mileage (about $550/mo tax free).
I love my company.

Yeah. That sounds awesome KJ My whole thing is sacrificing family time. I really love being around my kid that I’m scared to put money ahead of him and be that dad who never had time. I don’t know. I’ll see how this “interview” goes.

Well I think you should take it if everything checks out. I'm glad to hear how important family time is to you, and it's a tough sacrifice to make (I'm currently typing this from a hotel room a 5-hour drive away from my family). But kids understand if you talk to them about it, and it just means you'll have to make the most of the time you do get with them. And a six figure salary will certainly soften the blow.

I love my company. Can we trade I live in an airport/hotel 40 weeks a year. There are trade offs lol. I actually love being on the road. It makes me, I don’t know, “appreciate” my wife and kids more. I have to make the most of our weekend or days I’m not traveling.

If you’re paying your bills, have the things you need in life, and are saving for the future.. the only question that matters (to me) is will this promotion cause me to be away from my wife and kids more? My family time is the most important factor of the job I have. I work 4 12-hour days. I see them maybe 2 hours those days. But then get three days off. I have had the opportunity to move up and double my salary but that would be the sacrifice I would have to make. If I weren’t able to provide for them it would be another story. But we do really well on my salary. At some point you can’t lie to yourself anymore and call it a sacrifice that is needed. You’re robbing your wife and kids of the most precious thing you can offer them, aside from your love; your time. If you’re doing well, Kid.. why would you want to give up the time you have with them?

If you’re doing well, Kid.. why would you want to give up the time you have with them? That’s my predicament, jTjohncenaGOAT. I don’t think anyone can ever say that they have enough money as a middle class American right now. As a family, our bills are over $3,000 a month and that’s not counting every 3rd month where we have a $425 water bill added. I just feel like taking it would put us in a financial situation where we don’t ever have to stress money and we can have anything we want. Plus, it’s a HUGE career opportunity at age 31. Then there’s the other side of it that always reminds me of being told that money is the devil. The most important thing to me is family, but I’m in a predicament where my sacrifice of time is going to put my wife and kid in a better situation in life financially. There’s living comfortably and then there’s living good. I don’t know. Seems to be too good of a thing to stress out, but it’s got its good and it’s bad.
