Change is scary. I hate change too generally. Gotta embrace the hate, say fuck fear. Nothing is permanent. Try to make the most of it, worst case you don't like it and revert to whatever you're more comfortable with. Take the dive!

I've taken dives. The first supervisor position I ever had was great at first, but immediately became a position where I saw them taking advantage of me. Having more and more tasks put on you with no upgrade in pay was my final straw. Being on call 24/7 was one thing I bit the bullet on, but that's when I had enough. Well, the actual final straw was other supervisors trying to sabotage me and a much longer story.

Next supervisor position I got in another company was decent enough, but also had its downfalls. AKA being promised things by the higher ups and never having it followed up on. I also can't take micromanagement so that got me frustrated and I left a supervisor job for a better paying regular job. The job I am at now.

I turned down a position in another company. A start up company that was offering me more money, but they told me they wanted 60 hours minimum from me a week at 74K a year. However, what people underestimate is the amount of math I can do on the fucking spot. So after doing the math, I realized that a 12K a year raise was not going to cut it with the hours expected from me. I work 52-55 hours a week right now and that amount of money/responsibility wasn't cutting it. Plus, this is when my kid was 2-3 months old. At first, I looked at it as a blessing, but the real blessing was turning it down.

Now this offer is a 38-40K raise which is without a doubt worth it on the money side. Like 🤯 said, change scares me. I do jump into flames though and give things shots, but it's got to add up for me financially, mentally and physically. We'll see. I'm being way too negative about the situation, but I don't think it's negativity moreso then fear. My wife loves the money idea, considering she's part time and brings home just over 40K a year now. So financially it's awesome. The whole NY-Philadelphia work travel is rough and time lost at home is also rough. I'll keep you guys posted.

I just want to note I find it hilarious the MAGA-obsessed hate monger is worried about family values, whilst the progressive crybaby snowflake is coming at this from the "family loves me regardless, get that money" side of things.

I mean it just proves that the real crazy and selfish people are the "snowflakes" if they have no problem thinking "my family loves me regardless, get that money". Because if you pay any attention to anything, you would know that the right cares MOST about family values.

I definitely leaned conservative years back. I slowly shifted as I grew older, and around 2015 is when I fully embraced my liberal mindset.

We restarted after the tsunami passed without issues, but if he put it in RAW(~!) you may have to fast forward a few minutes if you hear him going out. Fun to record for sure, although like anytime I hear a PW poster's voice... it's never what I expect.

You're thinking of "Vacs n' Videos" I'm pretty sure, @ness. There was one about 15 miles away from me and it was an awesome place to find old games and consoles at a decent price. The one near me went out of business a couple years ago. Not sure if they all went under, but I really miss that place. I never understood the name either lol.
