Anyone watching The Boys season two? Those Homelander/Doppelganger scenes this week were hilarious. Not sure whether I laughed more at those, or Homelander getting triggered by memes.

I just finished Cobra Kai.
Now. I'm incredibly torn between hating this show and enjoying it. Johnny is fantastic as this man who never really left the 1980s, and his growth across the seasons. He's anti-SJW, he's non-PC, his response to all the pussy kids is great, and certainly a high point early in the series. I enjoyed Eli's transformation from geek into the murderous Hawk. And even Mr. Diaz' journey is solid.
What I hate. I hate Daniel LaRusso and his entire stupid family - except the wife. Daniel is a stone-cold piece of shit who has the body of 70 year old woman. He walks like his arms are too heavy for his torso. Ralph is the shits. It's no wonder he didn't work for like 30 years after KK3. His son is a little cunt and his daughter is so fucking cringing, it seeps from her pores. Every time this girl speaks, over articulating with awful dialogue, she does this cringey shake of the head and has this obnoxious grin on her face, like everything she says is so fucking insightful. She's awful. This entire family could burn in a car accident - except the wife - and I'd applaud. Hats off to whoever started the fire. The Mrs, is the only one who is actually clever, funny and sees through all the stupidity of her awful family's obsession with Cobra Kai's demise. She's great.
This is a series, that's doesn't really know what it is. One minute it's off-beat and irrelevant and indulging in 80's pop culture. The next, it's like watching reruns of Seventh Heaven, the next it's a Disney made to television kid's show. It doesn't know what it is.

Working through second season of Sinner.
Who needs to pay HBO or whatever for True Detective when USA gives you Sinner for free?! Bill Pullman might be putting out a consistently greater performance than his turn as POTUS in Independence Day.
EDIT: True Detective wins, hands on dicks, on the dem tiddies front though.

John Cena’s character in the new Suicide Squad movie (the a peacemaker) is going to get his own spinoff show on HBO max. So ya know.. I couldn’t be more excited. Whoa, does this mean he's really done done with wrestling then!?

You'd think they'd wait until The Suicide Squad was well received considering the last Suicide Squad reception.

Caught the last season of "The Affair," enjoyed the direct continuation stuff, not sure I cared much for the future storyline, which have an ounce of closure but otherwise went nowhere.
Also my way through "Kidding," really thought it was great, a pity it couldn't make it past season 2. Funny, heartfelt, and great performances across the board. Would have loved to see more, though I guess you could almost call season 2 an ending, like Magicians, it works, but definitely felt like a lot mroe story to tell.

If Wife admits to never really liking Sister Sister, does that make her racist? Depends. Which sister doesn’t she like? The implication seemed to be she didn't like the show, period. To say I was stupefied would be an understatement. Part of me feels like our whole relationship has been built on a lie.

GAH! Ray Donovan can't end that way. Such a good fucking season, but clearly set up for a 2 season arc. God damn cliffhanger. If you're going to give a show 7 seasons, give them a final damn season. Bastards.

Wrapped up S3 of Castlevania. Love everything about this series, even if the last few episodes were borederline hentai. Can't complain, we all want a mommy vampire to step on us.

Fitting series finale for the 100, my only issue is the final season felt rushed, like there should have been another seasons or two leading into it. I sort of believe that was an initial plan with season 5 ending with "End Book 1," having only two more seasons feels like a later decision. Just a WHOLE lot happens all at once in the final season, entirely new faction and tons of new concepts. But even then, it was a solid season and a satisfying conclusion, I do think it stands out from all other CW shows by actually having hard decisions with real consequences, wasn't a narrative safely held back like pretty much everything else they do. Main characters die, lead characters make questionable decisions with real repercussions, just a step above the channel norm. Even Supernatural started feeling safe after season 5 where everything began to fall into a cycle of similar story beats.

Stranger Alright, so I've been watching this Korean drama that I absolutely love. It's subtitled, but it's on Netflix guys so give it a chance! It's about a prosecutor who is incredibly intelligent but cannot feel emotion. Reminds me of myself a bit. But it's a very intricate detective story. And you learn a lot about the nuances of Korean law enforcement to boot! It's pretty different how things work over there, better in many ways but with its own share of problems. That definitely intrigues me, but it's one of the best crime shows I've ever watched. Prosecutor Hwang Si-mok doesn't have a lot of friends because his unwavering insistence to uphold the law is annoying and his lack of respect for his seniors pisses a lot of people off. So he is mostly on his own starting to try and unravel a murder case that reeks of corruption. Worse yet, it seems his own boss may even be the culprit. Suspicion surrounds nearly everyone in his office. Buddy cop Han Yeo-jin finds herself working closely with him, as the only other person who seems to give a fuck, and together they take on an unknown and powerful enemy. Almost as good as Wallander, but possibly better because it is starring the beautiful Bae Doona:
Oh, and badass charmer Lee Joon-hyuk as a side-villain!

Well this fucking sucks. Netflix just announced that they've cancelled GLOW, and will not go through with a fourth and final season.
Once the world goes back to normal, they should bring this show back. Even if it's just for a movie-length finale. This show needs some closure.

Yet WWE is doing it several times a week. LOL. This sucks.

My wife and I just finished Big Little Lies and I gotta say, it was surprisingly good. I didn't expect to like it much but it's a pretty gripping story. And you can't go wrong with the cast they have. Crazy good.
I really enjoyed season 1 but season 2 felt lacking. They tried to tell way too much story in the short amount of time they had. Season 1 was much more well told over the 7 episodes whereas season 2 just felt too busy and jammed up.
I'm hoping for a third season though. There's still a lot left unanswered that they set up this season and I'd like to see how it plays out.

I really wanted to see how it ended. I really hope they just canceled it to let everyone out of their contracts until things get back to normal. A lot of times you have to prioritize work over other work and with things so up in the air about when they could return to production, maybe they decided it was best to just cancel it and revisit in a couple years.

They cancelled Jenji Kohan's other show Teenage Bounty Hunters which I really fell in love with after being a bit "wtf is this" for the first 10 minutes.
Seems like they're prioritising other directors like Ryan Murphy which kinda sucks because all his stuff is all style and no substance.

Think we'll get a better ending than what they gave us before?

Did it though? I stopped watching after the third season showed absolutely zero wrestling for what felt like forever - they talked about it, a little - but the series focused on the relationships and personal dramas. How's that different to Total Divas?

I finished up a rewatch of Grimm last night. It's one of my fave shows and the girlfriend has never seen it before, so we spent the last month watching the series.
I also started season 2 of The Boys on Amazon.
