With Bob's burgers coming back tonight, and all the CW DC shows coming back in the next few weeks, and Stranger Things at the end of October, I've got a good bit of shows coming back this month. Another show I watched a few months ago that's coming back this month is Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, which I watched on a whim and loved it. 


As for shows I'm currently watching, Nathan for You on Comedy Central just started it's fourth season. This show is gold. I highly recommend it, if you're a fan of dry, awkward humor. 

You're The Worst, The Deuce, AHS: Cult, Gotham, Bob's Burgers, South Park. All great shows so far.

ANNND, Curb Your Enthusiasm returns tomorrow!

I'm watching Law and Order True Crime: The Menedez Brothers. Thoroughly enjoyed everything about the first episode last Tuesday night, I liked it so much I watched the rerun last night. I like Carmela Soprano, it's amazing because on the Sopranos she looked so much like my mom but on this show she looks virtually identical to the way my grandma looked in 1989, same hair same everything.

It's a great show though from the first episode, some great acting with the guys they got to play the brothers. Some good supporting actors like that one dude from Crossworlds with Rutger Hauer straight to video baby. Also felt like they absolutely nailed the 1989 look and feel. This gon be good.

My fall is all filled up. Best time of the year for me. On my days off I binge on any show I missed.

Oh man The Good Place is so fantastic. Generally network shows are awful and lack imagination and creativity. That's the exact opposite of this one!

I'm binge watching the last few episodes of Lucifer season 2 so I can be ready for season 3.

Watched Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale. Holy hell is Margaret Atwood disturbed. What a fantastic show. Truly awful source material but it was so well done. The worst part is how awful the USA and their leaders currently are, you can almost see this happening if the birth rates drop like they did in the story. Terrifying.

Lucifer tonight, as well as Scorpion.

Been binge-watching F is for Family on Netflix lately, it's a fun show with Bill Burr in it, would recommend.

Excited for this.  Easily my fav comic show.  For those not familiar with the source, Lucifer is a Sandman spinoff.  The story of Lucifer leaving Heaven is Sandman's Seasons of the Mist arc.

AHS has been fantastic this season as well.  Really loving the dark satire and the cult plot is very interesting.

Current shows I’m watching are The Good Place, Brooklyn 99 and The Deuce. I’m also in a rewatch of The Sopranos, half the way through season 3.

Not counting returning shows, but I have watched Ghosted and Inhumans so far. Later tonight I'll check out the Gifted, but I'll have to keep my expectations down since the X-Men mean a lot to me. Inhumans wasn't as bad as it could have been. It had some pacing problems that can be worked out. They also assumed many are familiar with the source material. The Ghosted had the usual problems of a debut, but it was still funny. Adam Scott and Craig Robinson have chemistry, so the show has plenty of potential. It will be fun to have around for the Halloween season.

This last episode of Halt and Catch Fire was a real punch to the gut, just 1 more episode, then the finale.

With Game of Thrones and Better Call Saul done for now, I'm in some sort of TV limbo. I am still slowly going through Parks and Rec and Impractical Jokers, two of the funniest shows ever made, but I'm not watching a serious show at the moment. Started Mad Men lat week but the first two episodes mostly bored me so I won't be returning to it. Maybe it's time to give The Wire another shot.

Emp, you should give The Deuce a try. It's a great show, and it's co-created by the creator of The Wire.

Or just commit to The Wire. Know you’re watching a season no matter how you feel about the first half of the season. It will work out for good.

Caught up with Lucifer season 2 so I could follow season 3 as it airs, thankfully hasn't tanked like Sleepy Hollow did after the first, really enjoyable show...good fun.
