Binging old Survivor. Holy shit a lot of this did not age well. Naked racism, sexism and homophobia in the early episodes is painful to see.

Just watched the blood eagle episode of Vikings and this show has gone from 0-100 REAL fuckin quick. My GOD. Also The Mandalorian might go down in history as the best Star Wars anything ever if they keep this up. I just finished season 2 and oh boy. It’s already in the middle of the pack for how much I like it. So is Jon Favreau now in charge of the Star Wars franchise with Disney? And if he isn’t.. why the heck not?!?!? That ending was one of the most magical and amazing moments in TV for me. The second that the green light saber comes out I lost it!!! Him walking down the hallway taking out the Dark Troopers gave me a counterbalance feel for Vader taking down the rebels at the end of Rogue One. And the whole the post credit didn’t mean a whole lot.. those final words in the screen sent chills down my spine. As stated in the Disney+ thread.. I can’t wait for more! I'm not gonna say I disliked the ending, but as someone who isn't a huge SW guy (didn't watch the movies as a little kid, so no nostalgia for me) it didn't quite land the same way I assume it did for everyone else.
Really really wasn't feeling the deepfake CGI. I get why they did it that way but to me if you're going for the nostalgia pop just use the original actor. Star Trek Picard brought back Data who had very visibly aged out of the role of 'robot who doesn't get older' but just dye the hair, maybe an Instagram filter to smooth out the wrinkes a bit more and for a quick cameo it's good enough to make the fans happy.
The way Mandalorian hit uncanny valley territory for me personally but srs if it makes everyone else happy that's perfectly fine.

Binge watched Shondaland's Bridgerton on Netflix. Great period fluff fun drama, geared more towards a female fanbase. Got pretty uncomfortable watching with my mom by Episode 5ish.
Halfway through Season 2 of The Mandalorian.

I started watching a series, called Servant on Apple TV+, it's pretty weird and I'm not really feeling it, but it has the guy who plays Ron from the Harry Potter movies in it. The fiancee, however, really likes it so far, so, unfortunately, I'll probably end up seeing it the whole way through.
I also need to get around, to starting the second season of The Mandalorian as well.

Halfway through Season 2 of The Mandalorian. No surprise but I LOVED Bridgerton too. Binged the whole thing over two nights, I'm a sucker for anything period drama so this was right in my wheelhouse. I watched The Mandalorian as the episodes were released weekly, S2 is WAY better than S1 and I loved S1. I need a rewatch binging the whole lot. Not gonna lie I was stood up marking out like a kid at the last scenes of the final episode of S2. I don't think they're done with the surprise character and Baby Yoda just yet. Read that Rosario Dawson is getting that Ahsoka spin off, and Temuera Morrison a Boba Fett one. I hope SW is in good hands now. I'm watching Star Trek: Discovery as the new episodes drop on Netflix, and I'm loving it. I wasn't sure where it would, or could, go after Pike and Spock's storylines were done but I'm loving this season. As long as I get my Stamets and Culber fix I'm pretty happy, and I just love Tilly.

Another solid season for Cobra Kai, honestly, I'd almost be fulfilled if they ended it at season 4 with the way this left off, looks to bring it full circle with the 1st Karate Kid. Though I'm definitely in for more if they keep going. I will say this season felt more like a bridge season, all comes together nicely in the finale, but a lot of moving things into place for season 4, the Krease backstory was solid though. Though I felt it was hinting at Krease's pedigree not being as advertised in season 2, where his backstory has him as a hardened Nam vet adopting the ruthless nature we know and love to hate. But, not a big deal.
Still Danny and Johnny finally coming together at the end to ultimately take down Krease seems like a perfect final season, ending with them finally setting their past aside and combining their teachings for a both offensive and defensive style, I'm going with Miagi Kai.
Bit of a bummer Aisha was written off, but I guess they do have a shit ton of characters, just she felt like a prime part of Cobra Kai, just behind Miguel and Hawk.

I enjoyed it too! Thought the will they won't they drama between Daphne and Simon was maybe slightly over done. The scene where they were fighting, he started eating her out on the stairs, only for them to start fighting again was a little over the top (but admittedly in a pretty hilarious way)! Between this and Virgin River Netflix is really hitting the mark with these soapy but actually kinda good in a lot of ways shows.

I agree with you about some of it being a bit much at times but Simon was so delicious I just didn’t care. Apparently Bridgerton is based on a series of books and 2nd season will be about Antony.

Yeah the Mandalorian has been fantastic. Name dropping Thrawn got me super excited. Wait. What?! I don’t think I’ve gotten there yet because I would have marked out HARD. I always thought the sequels should have been based on Timothy Zahn’s Heir to the Empire Trilogy. Thrawn on the big screen would have been amazing along with Mara Jade, Jaina, Jacen, etc. I mean we get Ben but yeah.

Yep, Mandalorian is still awesome, is it unethical to chain Favreau to a desk and make him churn out all nerd properties?

So I finally finished season two of The Boys, such a great series. I also watched DC's Stargirl, not as entertaining as a TV series based on a comic book property, as some of DC's other live-action series. Also turns out, I didn't start the second season of The Mandalorian, because I still have two episodes from season one to watch.

Started Tiny Pretty Things last night and going to finish it today, I think. It's complete teen drama, so right up my street. My problem with it is most of the characters are unlikable, and some of them are the absolute worst. They've all done terrible things.

They seem to be picking up after the Rebels animated show brought Thrawn to the new Star Wars universe. Name drop is at the end of the second season. And yeah, the third trilogy should have been the Thrawn story. It was what everyone basically wanted. Which is why I assume they are bringing into the new universe. He is one of the greatest villains in Star Wars.

If you're a fan of the Karate Kid movies, it's an absolute must watch, but even if you only liked the first one, it's entirely worth it. Johnny Lawrence is finally getting his time to shine, the hero we needed. Also some fairly entertaining fight choreography, even if a bit subpar in execution at times. Either way, caught the first 2 episodes of WandaVision, not much to be made from it yet, as the first 2 episodes play almost exclusively as straight classic TV sitcoms, like Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore, but each episode features a crack in that façade. Interested in where it goes, some decent fun as a fan of the aforementioned shows, but that's about the extent of it with just those two.

I adore old sir comes like MTM and DVD .. same with Bob Newhart and the likes. I am a moderate fan of Marvel.. but Wanda and Vision were two of my least favorites. I suppose I’ll give it a go and see if this changes that for me. I'm just hoping Wanda Vision finally explains whatever happened to Scarlett Witch's Eastern European accent.

Me and the gf started a Disney+ account & finished Mandalorian Season 2. Love it. I've been on a huge Star Wars kick lately and started playing the original KOTR again. Also started Clone Wars and I'm currently on Season 3 after a month in.
The other day I finally realized the X-Men animated series from the 90's is on here and I let out a gutteral "YES!" of nostalgic joy with a celebratory fist pump; I'm beyond happy right now. Currently reliving my childhood before the big game today.
