All I can say is that Roseanne committed career suicide because of what she did. And she in turn, cost her show's cast and crew their jobs as well. And they had nothing to do with that. This was all caused by one person, with one tweet. I'm sure Fox News will give her a weekly show or Trump will appoint her aid to something.

Oddly I have a liberal on my timeline bitching the most about it currently.
I just enjoy the weird hypocrisies involved in the anti-Kaepernick side now being pro-Roseanne and Vice-versa. Both did something they were good at, then made a statement which was considered offensive to some, and now they don’t have jobs. If you’re okay with one, you should be okay with the other because freedom of speech has consequences. I agree with Kaepernick and disagree with Barr, but if I’d done either thing I’d be fired so it is what it is.

Got caught up on the last season of Better Call Saul (or at least the last season available on Netflix), and catching up on the last season of New Girl.
I feel like Saul is maybe starting to drag a little... or at least this season did? Hopefully things kick into a higher/final gear next season. Hate for good things to overstay their welcome.
This season of New Girl seems like it's probably past the welcome point. They probably should've ended it last season or whenever Schmidt and Cece got married. I still love the characters, but the story seems to be meandering and getting dangerously close to strapping on a pair of water skis.

Season 3? The pace actually started to pick up in comparison to the first two so that seems a slightly weird comment. But then I never got the complaints about it being boring to begin with. Just because there's not giant wars every five seconds with hundreds of people dying per episode and incestual sex or whatever it is that people want from their TV shows these days doesn't mean it's not compelling...

Oh, no... don't get me wrong. I still love Better Call Saul, and it's compelling as hell to me. On the Mike/Gus side of the story, I'm just trying to gauge how long it'll take to get from where we're at now to where things were when Breaking Bad intersected their story. And you're probably right about the pacing. The drawback of having large gaps between viewing each season is not recalling very well how each of the previous two were paced. Now that you mention it, I do recall having a similar feeling about them too. Feeling like, when is he going to turn into Saul for real!? I think perhaps it's a drawback of having a season with only 10-12 episodes maybe? Not that I'd want it to be much longer though (fucking New Girl and it's 20+ episode bullshit). I'm kinda assuming based on the Breaking Bad model that there's only 2 more seasons in the chamber for Better Call Saul. I suppose that's enough time to cover the ground that they still need to cover, IMO.

I feel like five is the number I’ve seen around for number of seasons.
I liked the first two years of Saul just enough to stay around for the Breaking Bad mythology of it all and the performances (and flashy direction). I just thought the story was really thin.
Last season though blew me away completely. I expected to like whatever Mike and Gus were up to, but I thought it was way behind the stuff between Jimmy and his brother. Anyway, I’m ready for season four like now.

I just realized New Girl was still making new episodes. Fox really fell asleep at the wheel promoting that show. It felt like for the longest time I couldn't get away from seeing previews for it but literally I thought it ended like 3 years ago.

The end of New Girl was nice.
I'm happy my show Animal Kingdom is back. So many of my shows have been cancelled. Going to be a crappy Fall for me.

Hoping the former over the latter because I don't know where else there is for them to go. Wonder how long it takes for this last season to pop up on Netflix. I hate waiting!

I’ve been watching Atlanta a lot lately. I had watched a few episodes of the first season but I had never finished it so I decided to just binge through that and now I’m in the middle of the second season, and it’s been just as the first season imo. Donald Glover is excellent, and Brian Tyree Henry is great as Al/Paper Boi. I also really like Lakeith Stanfield as Darius.
It’s such a good show.

I need to get back into Atlanta.
The show Radon on CBS is really good. Wish it could make the Fall schedule.

So the Americans wrapped up, it wasn't quite what I was expecting, but in retrospect, it made sense for the series. Was always more about slower character moments than bombastic action, so the very reserved finale fit well with the tone of the series. Great little six season character study, Kerri Russel and Mathew Rhys deserved a lot more recognition than they got. See if any of them snag a trophy for the final season.

I just kind of fell out of The Americans after season 3 but might try and get back in.
Just finished up S4 of Power andgod damn that was good. I liked that they actually let the prison storyline play out for a decent chunk of the season and not have Ghost be out at the end of episode 2 which I fully expected. Then some very surprising twists and turns, one of which was spoiled for me thanks to the NBA playoffs but it still packed a wallop seeing it happen. Also love that 50 Cent is back with Ghost and Tommy. He's such an entertaining character he's kind of hard to dislike even when he's doing horrible shit. I was glad they went away from the Angie/Ghost love storyline for at least this season. Seeing it the past few seasons...while I liked it, it was time to move on from it at least for the time being. Loved them giving Jerry Ferrara a more expanded role at least in the prison half of the season and hope he gets more to do in S5. Loved the stuff with Ghosts son. The only story I didn't really care for was surprise surprise, A tasha storyline. Didn't give a fuck about her relationship with the lawyer and I just wanted Ghost to toss him out a window or something.

I’ve kept up with what’s going on with the Americans but not really watched because tv critics talk about it all the time but I’ve thought it moved too slow on a subject I didn’t care much about... but I did watch the two big scenes of the finale and they were well done.

Clicked on this thread by accident and just want to agree with mikec, and @admin, on Better Call Saul season 3. The first two seasons were really good fun. but season 3 blew me away with how good it was. I think it's actually one of my favourite seasons of tv ever. Tonally so different from Breaking Bad but I think I enjoyed it more. I wasn't very optimistic about Better Call Saul because he wasn't a highlight of BB for me but the way that they were able to make Saul into a character I cared about so much with so many layers and contradictions yet with a clear moral compass and deep convictions. I loved it.

Amazon saves the Expanse, now Netflix saves Lucifer...it's a good time to be a fan, cancelled isn't quite as definite as it used to be.
I'd like some closure with Last Man on Earth, but 2 outta 3 ain't bad.

Best news i've heard for quite some time. Thank god Lucifer got renewed. It would've been a crime had the show ended on that sort cliffhanger.

Second season of Luke Cage edged past the first by simple consistency, while it didn't quite hit the highs of the first half of season one, it never hit the lows of the second half. First season suffered greatly after the villain switch, while the second benefited on fleshing out the entire picture start to finish. Not everything clicked, and it's still below the likes of Daredevil and Punisher, but it was a step in the right direction for the most part.

After JJ's second season was dull and Defenders was just okay I was starting to think maybe the Netflix shows had peaked. Still kinda true, but I'm okay with that as long as they're not bad/boring.

Big brother has been ok so far but damnit, I got so used to Paul being in the house for the past two years that it feels weird without him in there. Favorites are the surfer dude, the weird ass hippy chick, and for a combustible element I'm going to go with Swaggy. Nobody thus far though is really all that hate-able or incredibly likeable. Nobody has came out of the gates just being a complete dick. Swaggy is cocky but at least on the cbs edit, he's not really a jerk. Least favorite is the douche bag frat boy security analyst or whatever the fuck and the female welder cries to damn much. Hopefully things pick up but I'm comparing it to what may have been one of the best seasons of the series with BB19. The house vs. Cody/Jessica was one of the most compelling stories that ever came out of that. So comparing it's week 1 to that greatness probably isn't fair.

I've been watching Highlander the 90's series. I was so pissed when they dropped this off of Netflix. I been craving it so I bought a subscription to Con TV through Amazon Prime, they have the whole series on there. It's definitely on the corny side and not a 5 star show or anything but for mid-90's TV it's pretty dope, the actor who plays Duncan Mcloud really makes the show, he's got a really cool bad ass charisma. Also the theme song by Queen gets me all jacked up.

So i'm about halfway through with the second season of 13 reasons why and I think it's better than the first season. I was interested to see how they would keep the story going and they came up with a pretty good way to do it and fused in a few new mysteries and gave us some different sides of the Hannah story.

Watched GLOW this weekend, started Friday and finished a few minutes ago. I think it might be even better than season one, which I really liked. This season was funnier with probably less of the drama than season one, but they did just enough to keep the big moments meaningful with some sentiment.

Big Brother is starting to lose me. Everybody is just to fucking nice. Not one blow up even after a fucking blind side. Even Swaggy who should have blown up never really did. As I said earlier though, I think last season spoiled me because there was so much going on and you had so many wars raging and everything was just so combustible. None of that so far this season. Still I like the game, I really enjoy the way Tyler is playing the game. I think the virgin as HOH right now could be interesting as his loyalties aren't clear. Nobody is stepping up and playing the part of the bad guy even though it's obvious that would get you trending and get that App store power but a lot of the cast just kind of seems happy to be there to work on their tan.
