About 80+ episodes into DBZ rewatch. Frieza just transformed for the first time.

Started watching Yu Yu Hakusho for the first time in 20+ years. Currently at the tournament to see who becomes Genkai's pupil.

Also watching SAO and Psycho Pass for the first time. And I definitely need more Chainsaw Man to drop asap.

Replaced my DBZ hoodie since the old one was getting too worn. If you ever want a way to talk to strangers, get one. I get random compliments on it a couple times a week while out and about. One girl even chased me down to say she liked it.

So I did something I haven't done in a while, actually, start and finish an anime series. That series and don't judge me is Pokémon Journeys, I'll probably start up the next season in the series... Pokémon Master Journeys tomorrow night.

I'm also three episodes into the fifth season of My Hero Academia.

Are they going really hard on getting more eyes on this new One Piece movie? It seems most anime movie releases get limited movie releases and select theaters but my local theater is playing this all week and at multiple times. Also went to Hardees today and they have the new One Piece film promo'd on the large cups. Nabbed me one. Stampede certainly didn't get this treatment.

Is Shanks even in it or is it like the promos for the 2nd Jurassic World with Ian Malcolm?

I wouldn't know. I'll be watching it through the power of a blu-ray. I own Stampede but haven't seen it. I kinda worry that movie would be like why didn't you read arc 700, you idiot. Now you're not going to understand this.

There isn’t really any story in Stampede TBH - you could watch it pretty much any time after the time skip.

The first part is some kinda race or something, then it’s just one long battle. As long as you know the basic idea of One Piece, you could watch it whenever really.

So the new Bleach series, has anyone checked it out yet? Is it new stuff? Or like Dragon Ball Kai, or FMA: Brotherhood?

It's the final arc they never animated. So probably closer to Inuyasha Final Act.

Unless they maybe start adding some stuff that wasn't in the manga, cause clearly that finale was rushed and came out of nowhere. Soured me on Bleach forever. In my head canon, Bleach ended to me after Hueco Mundo.

So the first episode of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Arc, it was decent enough, I'll def check out a couple of more episodes. I also just wrapped up the first episode of Chainsaw Man, it's violent and I loved it.

I guess that's one upside to not being a manga reader, I don't know what to expect going into this new Bleach series (or really any anime series for that matter). Nothing against manga, it's just whatever free time I had to read, went to Marvel and DC comics, so I would always just watch anime and not so much read the manga it was based off of.

That's awesome, Psycho-Pass is one of my favorite anime series, I'm glad you're digging it.

I struggled with Bleach. It was really cool until they went into the Soul Society and dozens of new boring characters got introduced. I just didn't care enough to remember who was the leader of the 6th company or who was the 4th in command of the 7th company. It was new character overload!

Then when they finally got out of there, the anime launched into that rotten Bount stuff. Almost a solid year of filler!

I made it up to episode 128 (the start of another two months of filler) and just gave up.

It was especially difficult because they all had long names that were difficult to pronounce. Honestly with a lot of anime I don't tend to memorize names all that often, so much as looks. Over time maybe, but if you're dump all this shit on me don't expect it. Bleach was weird because after SS (Aaron's favorite!) ended people were like it should've ended. HOW? WHY? It literally just set up everything at that point. Honestly if anything Bleach feels like a show (since it was clearly based on YYH especially with that one arc HOLY SHIT PLAGIARIZED AS FUCK) that would've worked for filler. Maybe that's why MHA has been so good because it isn't treated like the big shounens that are never off tv. It does a season and then comes back later. Maybe not all 25 episodes are straight NARRATIVE but most of it is and it moves along.

The need to always be ON is why we got insane fillers. Even OP was becoming an issue. Literally having storytime about shit we don't care about. HEY! That ish belongs in Fan Fic!

The OG series (Indigo League) will always hold a special place in my heart, also love the hell out of the Orange Islands Adventures as well. I also watched the Johto stuff back in the day but stopped watching the series and only watched the movies at that point. I got back into the series, re-watching the first 145 - 150 episodes, when I got my nephew into the Pokémon anime, probably seven years ago or so, and just kept watching.

Hey @aaron, where are you at with Pokémon Master Journey? I'm currently on episode 17 of this season.

Looking at Winter titles and just realizing most anime just isn't doing anything for me anymore. While my life circumstances really haven't changed since I first got into it... it just isn't as appealing. I also think all the time watching anime/wrestling meant I was overlooking "real people shows" and since I'm watching that stuff instead... it just isn't working as much. Then I saw it.

A new Trigun holy shit. It might just be a reboot/retry of the original series. I don't really remember anything but that it fit that Bebop/Outlaw Star vibe from Toonami back in the day.

I recently watched Wonder Egg Priority. It was very good. Then they rushed a dumb ending that was the worst ending for any anime ever except Promised Neverland.

Watched a bit of the Urusei reboot. First episode or two I was on the fence but then it got enjoyable. Kinda just reminds of anime as I remember it. Couldn't get into the old one but this one has grown on me. Makes me think of something. The whole pepe le pew thing... like not just Lum, but like Amy Rose types too. If the MC wanted them back, would they still be interested?
