I've been watching Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens this season. It's a bit unusual but consistently funny and exciting with sword fights and kidnappings. Lighthearted murder and mayhem. And the OP is awesome too, so that always helps.

Space Dandy is probably my second favorite anime? I thought it seemed silly at first and that the jokes were crude, but after a few episodes I realized there was really a secret hidden layer of intelligence behind everything. It's hard to explain, but its more like its mocking shows that actually are crude and ridiculous...like a self parody of sorts. Some episodes are better than others, but overall as a whole the show is really high quality and has some unforgettable stuff.

Isao Takahata, a co-founder of Studio Ghible, and the director of Grave of the Fireflies has passed away. As depressing as Grave of the Fireflies is, it's one of my favorite Ghibli movies.

Due to my usual work schedule being changed up, I ended up having today off from work, and watched the first five episodes of B: The Beginning, as it was mentioned on one of Djm's podcast.

It's an anime series from Production IG (Ghost in the Shell: SAC, and Psycho-Pass), I'm liking it so far. It's a psychological cop show, though not quite as good as the two I mentioned, but I'm still digging it so far. It's on Netflix, for anyone who wants to check it out, it'll probably be something you'll like, Raven.

Food Wars is out now.

So B: The Beginning, I'll be honest I'm not really sure how I feel about the series. Was it good? Yeah, but I don't think it fully reached its potential. Maybe that's my fault though, for going into it with high expectations, but it's a detective themed anime from Production IG, so I expected more.

I also completed AICO: Incarnation via Netflix, though I checked out about half way through, and it eventually became background noise.

Watchya watching this season? I penciled in 7 series scanning the charts and 5 made the cut after the initial episode.

Continued watching Seven Deadly Sins, so that doesn't count.

Amanchu Advance - Basically just a continuation, so whatever.

Major 2nd - Original series is one of my favorite shows ever. I figured this was just gonna be like Boruto and just a generic retread with the next gen, but neither of the "2nds" are carbon copys so it make sense. Plus they're trading roles here.

Watoku and Kanojo Girl - Both shows about an Otaku dating (oxymoron?). Really like it although it's still weird reading things like "normie" and "2d girl" in subs.

So Knights of Sidonia is getting a third season, which is pretty cool I guess.

Wanted to see the summer shows on anime charts... and is it true? The first entry was AoT?!?

I'd have to look, honestly though I'm so far out of the anime loop, barely watched anything from this year, nor from the backlog. I think this will be the first time, in probably 3 - 4 years, where I don't reach the forty plus anime completed mark by the end of the year.

The third season of Attack on Titan, just may be what I need to get back into the game.

Yes AOT is so bloody and violent, my caretaker got me into to it. In turn, I have shown him what Deathnote is all about.

One thing I have noticed... I no longer find the girl hitting a guy for no reason funny anymore. It's not gonna make me stop watching anime or anything, but it doesn't do anything for me anymore.

Nice, so it has been announced that B: The Beginning will be getting a second season.

Looks like the third season of AoT isn't going to be as short as the second. I thought maybe they broke it up into 2 12 episode seasons, but I guess it was just a one-off because ancharts lists it @ 24.

I'm thinking about getting a subscription to Crunchyroll but I was wondering if they or any other site has a rollover feature like Hulu and Netflix.

I completely blacked out on the third season of AoT, forgot it started airing this month... probably cause I half expected it to get pushed back.

I did start watching a series called 009-1 though, the first two episodes seem good so far.

So it looks like I'm getting back into anime, legit barely watched anything this year, but I'm about to finish my second anime series, in afour - five day window.

009-1, overall I thought it was a decent little espionage series, and definitely the better of the two shows, it's from the guy that created Cyborg 009,so if you like that franchise, you might like this one as well. The other show, I started is a series called Dream Eater Merry, I've got about two episodes left... it's cute for what it is, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it either.

Made $100 selling anime boxsets I knew I'd never watch again. Thank you anime!

I'll go back to buying boxsets soon enough....

Anyone check out AOT yet? I'm about to watch the new season, so I should probably have waited 30 mins to make this post...

It's off to a good start, not quite what I would have expected going into season 3 (don't read the manga), but I'm digging it so far. I'm def interested in finding out more about Kenny the Ripper and his history with Levi, havimg said that needs more Titans though, lol.

Also Hellsing, man that shit spoiled me on Vampire anime. Has there been some good ones? Yeah, but nothing comes close to Hellsing. Speaking of Vampires, avoid Dance in the Vampire Bund, ended up dropping it after two episodes.

Yeah it was kinda weird how outside of one guy mentioning a titan there was basically no other talk of them. I guess it's about time Kenny did the killing this time around.

So I took the plunge, and started watching My Hero Academia, holy shit this show is great, really should have started watching the series sooner.

Haven't finished the first season yet, but I'd definitely recommend it, from what I've seen so far. Between this series, as well as both Dragon Ball Super and Attack on Titan, I'm back into anime again.

I checked out Hunter X Hunter for the 1st time the other day and I'm ready to go on a new journey.

 AoT season 3? I love that gunslinger, Kenny. Him vs Levi in episode 2 was fun to watch. Still team Levi though.

Just finished the second season of My Hero Academia, and man I love this show, the Hero Killer arc was all kinds of awesome (best arc so far). Honestly if you're a fan of comic books, or even just the live action Marvel movies and/or DC animated movies, you really need to give this series a chance. I might wait a few days before starting the third season, just so I don't get burned out... but yeah, My Hero Academia, it's awesome and you should be watching it.

Also I just want to say, the Great Saiyaman episodes, on Dragon Ball Super, were pretty fun, even if they were just filler.

My Hero is a show I meant to watch when it debuted but skipped and now its a few seasons deep so it's I intimidating. Although having lots to watch is probably the best experience as a fan.
