I thought that would be the case as well, but I got hooked from the first episode. I get it though, as that's the same reason, I've put off watching Assassination Classroom.

Nice surprise as I wasn't even aware another season was happening. Of course I don't follow a lot of anime news and only look at the next season's anicharts when the current one is about half-way through, so this could've been common knowledge.

My Hero is a show I meant to watch when it debuted but skipped and now its a few seasons deep so it's I intimidating. Although having lots to watch is probably the best experience as a fan. I just started it a few weeks ago because Toonami has it. Assassination Classroom was so boring. I gave up on episode 3

How are you liking My Hero Academia so far Mistress? As for Assassination Classroom, ended up watching the first nineteen episodes, over the last two days, it's alright though I was expecting something more like Absolute Duo or even a Trinity Seven. Once I finish the last couple of episodes, I'll probably dive back into My Hero Academia, and watch the third season, before watching the second season of Assassination Classroom. Should keep me busy for a week or so.

So the latest episode of Attack on Titan, some interesting tidbits in this episode... So Kenny the Ripper, has a sister, that got pregnant while working in a brothel, I assume the reason Levi lived with him, is cause he's Kenny's sisters kid (his nephew)?
Also if that's the case, given Kenny and Mikasa's last names, I assume both Levi and Mikasa are cousins as well then.

So this season of AoT has felt really weird/different from everything previously. First few episodes almost no titans and all based on the people. Felt very Walking Deadesque where it seemed like they were turning them into background annoyances, but unlike that we are still getting more details about them so there's that.
Anyone check out High Score Girl? Lots of "classic era" video game love letter talk involved. Hard to believe MK and SF are almost old enough to run for president...

What's up with Cartoon Network only showing 2 episodes of A.O.T. so far in a 3-4 week span? I get if they would go on hiatus after every 5 episodes but having one this soon is annoying.

Dragon Ball Super is getting interesting, as the tournament of power gets ever closer.
Eleven universes destined to be destroyed, all because of Goku's need to be the strongest fighter ever... seriously, he is gonna potentially be responsible for something that neither Frieza, nor Cell could truly do, and that's destroy the earth.

Fourth season of My Hero Academia has officially been announced... as a big fan of this series, this is exciting news. I have a feeling once it ends that's when Ima finally binge it. Makes me wish I was only an anime fan as it would be easier to dive into these things that I've missed out on. As it is DD Season 3 (with likely Bullseye) is dropping. Still gotta watch Fist S2. And all the Arrowverse shows are about to start. Ugh, being a nerd sucks.
This anime season I've picked 5 new ones to watch (along with continuing AoT and OP, naturally). Course I understand I could easily catch up if I just watched My Hero instead of them. Maybe I won't be feeling them after episode 1 so it's possible.

I hear ya completely Ness.
My anime viewing is gonna take a major hit as well soon. Still need to finish the second seasons to Luke Cage and Iron Fist, before Daredevil drops.
Sometimes it's just hard to keep up with everything. I try to keep one of my days off for watching whatever anime I need to keep up with but it doesn't always work out that way.

So I ended up starting a four part OVA series, called Alien 9 which came out in the early 2000's, it's about these school kids that join an alien control party, where they have to fight aliens. As far as what I've seen so far (only one episode), it doesn't look like something I would normally watch, but I gotta admit... I didn't completely hate it either, plus at four episodes, it should be easy enough to finish.

Hey Lony do you still have a backlog? Several years back I finally got rid of mine that I had basically been keeping in a notepad file since becoming a big anime fan. To go with my last post there just wasn't time to even think of following it and the new stuff (along with the other nerdy stuff I keep up with and that's not even counting wrestling and the rest of my life). It was even harder to keep track of because this was during the boom of Naruto/Bleach so you had those monsters to keep up with. These days I'm trying to keep it to 5-10 series a season. Whenever the season starts I'll go through the charts and jot down which ones intrigue me (either premise seems good or I simply like the art they used). I'll try all their episode 1s and if I'm feeling them I'll keep following them over the season, otherwise I drop them.

So I finally finished season three of My Hero Academia, not as good as season two, but still for the most part pretty good. The Hero Killer arc from season two is still the best thing to happen in the series, not that the other stuff is bad, it's just that that arc was so damn entertaining. Also looks like the third season of Attack on Titan is gonna be a split cour, with the second half airing April 2019. I'll try all their episode 1s and if I'm feeling them I'll keep following them over the season, otherwise I drop them. I do, though it's no where near as big, as it once was. Over the last three - four years, I've been clearing it off like crazy... as you might remember, I was keeping track of how much anime I completed per year (roughly between 40 to 45 series/movies), I figure it was about 12 or so new shows for each year and the rest being from my backlog. Like last year I watched (completed) forty anime series/movies, only seven of them were from 2017, well the rest was backlog. Edit: To expand upon that somewhat, I'm currently sitting at forty four shows/movies on my backlog, that have already finished airing, and that I plan on watching throughout this year, as well as next year. 34 anime series 10 anime movies As well as an additional eighteen anime projects, that I'm not counting, as they've yet to air.

So season 3 of AoT (I guess part A) was kinda weird. It felt like it went all over the place. Seemed more of an ensemble season since no one character was showcased for an extended period of time. Maybe that's just how it played out manga wise. Still good, but man even when she only gets a few minutes of screen time in 12 episodes... they can't make me not hate Mikasa lol.

Mikasa is easily the best out of the three main characters (her, Armin, and Eren), but yeah season 3-A of Attack on Titan was weird, especially compared to the first two seasons of the series and the tone they set, though like you said still good.
At the moment, I'm just watching both Dragon Ball Super and Black Clover. DB Super keeps doing it's thing as we get ever closer to the Tournament of Power arc, I did enjoy the last dubbed episode though with 17, just a lot of fun with him and Goku. As for Black Clover, it's pretty much what you would expect from a shounen series, which granted isn't necessarily a bad thing, and I do like it for what it is (though not as much as I enjoy DB Super).

Yeah so I'm just gonna leave this here.
I think most can agree, when it comes to live action adaptations of anime/manga, Hollywood tends to do a shit job. I hope this movie is good, as I would love to see a live action adaptation, of the main series games/the anime series, and this could potentially lead to that happening.

So recently I finished a series called Evil or Live, it's about this re-education school (though really more like a prison), where parents send their kids, to cure them of Internet addiction. I thought it was alright, the premise behind the series is rather interesting, though admittedly I don't think it lived up to its full potential, and could have been better.
Anyways, to answer my own questions, first off my fave anime this year, was probably either season 3-A of Attack on Titan, or the third season of My Hero Academia. And as for what I plan on checking out during the 2019 winter anime season...

Something to look forward to this upcoming fall season... second season (part 2) of Tokyo Ghoul:re. Raven , you watch the first part of Tokyo Ghoul:re? Someone else still likes Tokyo Ghoul!? This is the first I've seen anyone say anything positive about it since the first part of re finished. It's not the best show and the plot is all over the place, but it's still exciting! I have to fight my wife to get her to watch new episodes now. I've noticed it's very similar to WWE. Constant random fights with people out of nowhere. Tons of jobbers you've never heard of getting destroyed in quick fights to build up characters. On and off storylines and a ridiculous amount of unexpected / nonsensical face and heel turns! I just get in a good mood and excited at the fights whenever I watch it. The end of the last episode I saw where... {Spoiler}Kaneki turns into a fucking giant tentacle / dragon monster as large as a city!? ...was a bit much. I'm still interested to see where they go with it though.

Yeah, I like Tokyo Ghoul... is it the best series I've seen? No, but I do like it for what it is, and sometimes an anime with a lot of action is what I need. I also started a new series called Devils Line, only to drop it after two episodes.
So I guess it's still just Black Clover and Dragon Ball Super, until the new season starts, though it's kinda funny as there was a time that I would go out of my way to avoid anime that were more than one cour, and now the two shows I'm currently watching, are long running series.

So I'm ten episodes into a series called Sirius the Jaeger, it's bloody, it's violent, and I'm loving every second of it. Anyways, it's an anime series about vampire, and people that hunt them called Jaegers. I will say this, as far as a vampires in anime go, more often than not I can't get into them, but every once in a while, a series like Hellsing, Seraph of the End, or in this case Sirius the Jaeger comes along, and it's worth checking out.
I'll probably get around to watching, the first episode of Boogiepop, sometime today.
