Sounds about the same level of violence. I'd check it out if you're low on potential series. It's not an Erased level gotta see though.

So I finally got around to watching Pokemon: The Power of Us, it's pretty standard fair, and what one would expect from a Pokemon movie. Still though, it's always nice to visit the world of Pokemon, with every new movie that comes out, plus the next one has Mewtwo in it, which is always awesome.

Out of the two anime series, I've checked out this season... Boogiepop (wa Warawanai) hasn't been as good as I was expecting it to be, now Dororo. on the other hand, has been a lot of fun and I'm really enjoying it so far. Also, I saw the trailer for Alita: Battle Angel, when I went to go see Bumblebee, and I gotta say it actually doesn't look that bad, considering it's a Hollywood adaptation of an anime/manga, and we know how those turn out.

Dororo is a good excuse for Goku. Hey, I may have abandoned you guys to train but at least I didn't sell a demon your organs!

Now that Tokyo Ghoul is finished, what did people think of the last episode? I only got into Tokyo Ghoul last year when I got Anime Lab so the show was relatively new to me before I could really obsess over how it may end. For those who watched it from the very beginning, were you happy with the final or what did you expect from it?

So Dororo, man this show just gets better and better, I'm really enjoying the hell out of it, even if watching that guy's ear get cut off, in the third episode had me turning my head, I was feeling that pain. On top of that, I recently started a series called Last Hope (Juushinki Pandora) as well... it's not bad, I like it but it's also the weakest of the four shows, that I'm currently watching.

Watched the first episode of Dororo. Surprised nobody has mentioned it so far...
Kinda weird that the main character isn't the one named Dororo, but I suppose since most of the dialogue is from the thief that makes sense. Then again I never figured out what Bleach had to do with that show so what do I know?

So I decided to take the day, to watch two critically acclaimed anime films, that I’ve been meaning to watch for a while now in A Silent Voice, and Your Name. I’ll be honest, neither movie fits into the type of genre that I usually watch when it comes to anime, having said that, I don’t mind it in very small doses, and I think both movies were pretty good, for what they were. I also finished up Last Hope on Netflix, I wouldn’t recommend it to you guys, as I don’t think any of you are big fans of mecha series. This is why I miss Djm, he was the other mecha guy, that I could discuss this stuff with, and get recommendations from as well. As for Dragon Ball Super, the eighty fighters from all eight universes have finally gathered, and we can officially get the Tournament of Power underway. Only thirty-five more episodes to go, of DB Super and I can watch \Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Yeah, Dororo is something everyone should check out, and I’m not just saying that, as it’s the only anime series I’m watching from the 2019 winter anime season… but it’s that good (so far, plenty of time for them to mess it up).

I have been watching Deadman Wonderland and thought it was a pretty messed up situation in the show. Now I started watching Promised Neverland and there isn't even a comparison. Promised Neverland does not look promising at all once you see the poster, but it's actually pretty good and a much better show so far. The kids are smarter than adults and it's well-written so it's actually fairly intelligent. I enjoy the story in Deadman, but nothing is believable, the dialogue is very basic, and I don't even like any of the characters. I have also been watching KAIJI: ULTIMATE SURVIVOR and am addicted and think it is way greater than it actually is. Everything is just so over-the-top ridiculous with a mind-game element in there and that's basically the whole show.

I haven't seen Deadman Wonderland, since it originally aired (I want to say 2010, has it really been that long?), but I remember enjoying the series. As for the other two, I haven't seen Promised Neverland, or Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor, so can't comment on either one of them.
I did however start watching a series called Itou Junji: Collection, it's, well it's interesting... each episode basically tells two different "horror" stories, so each episode is stand alone, I'm liking it a lot actually, finished the first five episodes last night.

So I finished up Itou Junji: Collection last night, having now watched every episode, I'd say only about half of the stories were actually any good. I also finally started season two of Assassination Classroom as well, meant to start it sooner, but better late than never, I suppose.

So I'm about to sit down, and watch the first episode of The Promised Neverland, let's see if Lionheart is right about this. Also I'm about half way through the second season of Assassination Classroom, not really a big difference between this and season one, which is fine.

Caught the 2nd episode of Dororo, getting some Inuyasha vibes from it. Although I guess it's more the other way around since it came first. Not an insult as I loved that show.

I guess I can see that, though as someone whose caught up on the series (episode 6), I think you might change your mind on that.
As for The Promised Neverland, I really wasn't feeling the first episode at all, that was up until the twist at the end. While it's a different type of show, it reminded me of School-Live! (Gakkougrashi) in that regard, in that the twist ending of the first episode had/has me coming back for more, and I'm definitely interested in the show.

Yeah, seemed like it was gonna just be a demon of the week to get his body built again and then they gave a gut-wrenching 2-parter. All the episodes have been really good though. Probably helps that there were only a select few manga volumes so it's not being told over 100 episodes.

Oh yeah, the last two episodes were great. Poor Mio though, but Hyakkimaru avenged her in brutal fashion.
Also was looking over the list of shows for this season, just in case I might have overlooked a series, anyway's came across a show called Domestic Girlfriend (Domestic na Kanojo)...
I'm sorry but what in the actual fuck, like you know what the odds are, of that actually happening in real life??? This is why I don't watch romantic comedy anime series, cause I can't wrap my head around that shit.

I've been watching Domestic Kanojo since it started airing. My wife has read some of the manga and, while she thought it was ridiculous, thought it might make for an entertaining show. Well, it does. Plot aside, it is just really well made. I've recommended it to others who happened to have read the manga and thought it was ridiculous, but agreed that the show had an entirely different tone and they were actually into it as well. As far as the "harem genre" stuff goes...sure, the manga may be, but as a show...the scenes don't show much nudity and are very short. It's no worse than your typical Hollywood. The drama is a bit absurd, sure, but who cares about a slightly unrealistic story if it provides good watching? It is very dramatic, but it keeps your attention and plays out well. Even the theme song is great and you can glimpse that there's quality there even just from watching the OP: As for The Promised Neverland, I really wasn't feeling the first episode at all, that was up until the twist at the end. While it's a different type of show, it reminded me of School-Live! (Gakkougrashi) in that regard, in that the twist ending of the first episode had/has me coming back for more, and I'm definitely interested in the show.
Glad to hear the end hooked you! Haha. I wasn't expecting it at all. It seemed like such a nice and sweet little show and then BAM DEATH AND DESPAIR HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHA anime is cool. I'll check out School-Live!

So just noticed Black Clover has a new opening (apparently they started using it four or five episodes ago), anyways I'm kinda already over these festival episodes, they're not bad but the last arc was way better. Also just finished a series called Psychic Detective Yakumo (Shinrei Tantei Yakumo), I thought it was a good series, it's about a guy named Yakumo Saito who has the ability to communicate with the dead, an ability he uses to help them pass over and to solve crimes.
Edit: Oh and before I forget, Ninja Charlotte giving off Ino Yamanaka vibes, best thing about episode 69 of Black Clover.

I've yet to check out Psycho Pass but it has been recommended to me many times. Too many times. My wife hates watching things that are being hyped to no end by everyone, but I've been meaning to give it a shot soon. I picked up Psychic Detective Yakumo after reading your earlier post. I love it. He's Sherlock and a psychic combined. I can't get enough of such an epic combo. My wife read all the manga for it ages ago but had never seen the show. She is really into it as well. It is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The plot has some problems, but nothing that isn't forgivable. I think even non-anime fans might like this show and it could be a good introduction. Emperor, you should get into anime shows. Try it.

Spring's gonna be good. Second half of season 3 of AOT (season 4?), another season of One Punch Man and obviously continuation of Dororo since it's more than a 12 episode deal.

On top of the shows you mentioned, I'm also looking forward to both Philosopher's Grandson (Kenja no Mago), and Fairy Gone.

Yeah, I've got 4 new shows in addition to those and One Piece I plan to watch the next season. Course I'm at the point where if I'm not fully in it by the end of episode 1 I'd drop them, but still shaping up to be my most busy season in a while.

Yep, I think in total, I'll be at something like seven or eight shows, for the spring season. Granted the majority of them are series continuing, or returning for a new season, but still.
List of Shows
Attack on Titan S3-B Black Clover (dubbed) Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (which I forgot to mention earlier) Dororo Dragon Ball Super (dubbed) Fairy Gone One Punch Man S2 Philosopher's Grandson
I know that looks like a lot, but it's getting to that time of year, where everything I watch on TV is wrapping up (outside of GoT), so it'll mostly be anime and gaming when I'm home.

So still chugging along with Black Clover and Dragon Ball Super, both shows are both hosting there own tournaments. Last episode of DB Super that I watched, Master Roshi was a freaking bad ass, even Beerus showed him some respect. Having said that, of course Dororo continues to be all kinds of awesome, and the best of the three series I was watching prior to the spring season. @ness, anything from this season, that you're really enjoying? Edit: Also where is Mistress at, haven't seen her online in forever.

Sadly I'm still wrapping up the previous season so I haven't seen anything new. Between other non-anime shows and a few video games I've been having trouble keeping up with everything.
