Schedules are overrated in April.

The NFL changes too much on a week to week basis much less year to year to really put any stock into it.

I like it to see what game I want to try and go to.

Really isn’t bad luck. They knew the type of character Hill was when they drafted him,

Of course they did BUT they might be losing Hill for good after losing Hunt for good. Knowing the NFL, the Chiefs might play the “good guys” and release him only for another team to sign him, deal with the suspension and then start using him to win games.

With Mahomes being the MVP last season and going on the next Madden cover; could this be the Madden curse?!

Yeah the Chiefs deserve everything they get , and I like the Chiefs but you keep playing stupid games with these players and you're going to win stupid prizes. That's the price you pay for throwing character out the window. I won't be shocked when the Clark trade comes back to bite them either.

It sucks because I've always kind of rooting for Kansas City but their approach makes it hard to root for them. At some point you have to take stock and stop taking terrible people.

I’m not sure the Hunt thing ever really popped on his background so that one was bad luck. That the Chiefs maximized Hill to be the player he was for these years meant that gamble mostly paid off and now they’re going to cut bait but after several fruitful years where he was one of the main reasons they won division championships. Gotta call that a win for the franchise (loss for people who like kids, but whatever).

I’m not sure the Chiefs were ever planning to pay him so it looked like it might end in a year or two anyway. C’est la vie.

Hill wasn't bad luck.   He had a history of DV even before he was drafted.

Hunt on the other hand I think got a raw deal.   

I think given information that’s out there about Hunt it was probably better to cut bait because it wasn’t just the incident on tape but the cloud of suspicion around a few other events where you really couldn’t trust his word on what happened.

I mean if all he’d done was the tape, I’d wonder if the sensationalized headlines about “kicking a woman” got him more than the actual tape... but he just kept putting himself in really shorty situations. He got on with another team quickly enough and can still be ok. I’m not sure if Hill will get another deal.

One question bouncing around my head though - where did the recorded convo come from? Most of the bad stuff comes from the woman, who I am assuming is the one taping the convo. Had Hill not said “you should be terrified of me”, I’d probably be worried more about this point.

Apparently, she recorded it and sent it to her friend for "insurance purposes". But I know women and "insurance purposes" equals "blackmail". To be fair, he beat her ass years ago and she stuck around so obviously she loves The Cheetah. But I know someone in an abusive relationship and sometimes they don't leave because they're scared and sometimes they don't leave because they don't know any other way of living. Love is fucked up like that.

I think she came for his head with this recording, though, especially after charges were dropped. And the more I read and hear about this recording, the more I don't think it's that big of a deal.

Also that Child Protective Services arranged a no contact order between him and the kid.

It’s not particularly easy to get a No Contact Order for a parent with their kid, the Child Protective Services group obviously believes he broke the kids arm purposely, blackmail or not. And I’ve never told my wife she should be terrified of me, blackmail or no.

It's crazy that it's 2019 and this isn't an option.
