Am disappointed Brown ended up being even more of a diva than what was known, feels like the emergence of a second target broke his ego, like, not being the center of attention was too much.

I'd be very surprised if Kraft doesn't give Kaepernick a job since he obviously doesn't have any problem with people on their knees.

Offseason talk isn't really worth the pixels it's typed upon - but I had to laugh thinking about UT hearing Matt LaFleur saying that he'll be running Jones and Williams by committee.

I have to hope it's just lip service at this point , no way in hell can two seperate people look at that talent disparity and still think equal touches is a good idea. Plus LaFleur wants to be on Rodgers good graces I imagine and Rodgers is 100% an Aaron Jones guy.
I wouldn't even mind if we drafted a back in the 4th or 5th round to come in and take a few carries and see if he has some juice , to let Jones rest. Williams is dead in the water though - we know what he is and what he isn't.

I think I posted the reverse of this when he originally retired - fuck I'm not looking forward to his slow ass converting ten 3rd and longs against the Giants this season, but thank goodness he's getting out of the booth as he was a total trainwreck.

Exactly what I was thinking. As much as he killed The Giants it was even more painful listening to him in the booth.

ESPN was banking on him being Tony Romo 2.0 and he was far from that. If they go player they should be after Joe Thomas but they outta go with a head coach and see if they find another Gruden.
Peyton Manning does work for ESPN digitally with QB evaluation so maybe he gets first crack?
Will be an awful situation if Witten is so bad in preseason and training camp and Dallas is forced to either cut him and have Witten give up his ESPN gig and be out of an NFL job or hog up a 53 man spot to mentor and partially contribute. Antonio Gates still has some sort of athletism at least.

Antonio Gates still has some sort of athletism at least. Peyton would be great but I don't think he wants to do commentary otherwise he would have been straight in the booth. His Detail episodes were absolutely fantastic so I'm more than happy if he'd just prefer to do that rather than get stuck in the shambles that is ESPN's MNF. There's absolutely no chance that Witten doesn't make the Cowboys roster. He had basically the same stat line in 2017 that all the Cowboys TE rotation had combined this past year.

BREAKING NEWS!
FA, Super Bowl Champion/MVP, Nick Foles is expected to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Good, bad or who gives a shit? I don’t see the Jaguars having a bounce back year and I don’t see Ramsey being there for too long. The diva will be coming out ala Bell/AB for this dude. I see a 6-10 season coming for them even with Foles at QB.

Foles outside of Philly doesn't really do anything for me , I don't think he's going to be the guy to turn the Jaguars around. I guess anything is possible if that defense is in the top three again and he can dictate the RPO to the other team but even during his spectacular runs he's always felt more like fools gold.

Yeah I agree. I think everything just kept going right for him in Philly but like you said, it all comes down to that D. If the D keeps the opponents under 20 a game, then Foles can be the QB to win games 17-10. He’s not going to be able to do it unless Fournette returns to form and someone in the WR core breaks out. Should be interesting, but Houston and Indy are just too much better then them right now IMO.

Are you kidding me. Jacksonville is almost the perfect situation for him. They have weaponry. They have a defense than can get the ball back consistently. The only thing they lack is offensive lineman and that can be patched up well enough. Foles has repeatedly shown he can win with good pieces around him and with good coaching. You don't need an AMAZING QB specimen to win in the NFL. In fact, it often makes your coach lazy, (Peterson with Wentz, McCarthy with Rodgers, TONS of coaches with Peyton Manning) the only head coach in this era that has CONSISTENTLY coached (and GM'ed)a top QB talent to the fullest of his ability is Bill Belichick.

The Steelers plan on trading Antonio Brown no later then Friday.
The most interested teams right now are the Raiders, Redskins and Titans. Apparently, there’s 3 mystery teams too and the Jets and Arizona are out of the running. Also, the Raiders seem to be trying the hardest right now and if they can flip the first rounder ALA Amari Cooper for Antonio Brown, John Gruden is a genius. You know he’s not trading the 4th overall pick for AB so it’ll be one of the 20s.
In other intriguing news, the Chiefs plan on giving The Cheetah, Tyreek Hill a record breaking contract soon.

It seems like a shit show in the making if he goes to any of those three teams. If he had gripes in Pittsburgh on a good team then he's going to be throwing the toys out of the pram very quickly. Oakland have the most ammo so you'd think they'd be leading the race.
Speculating about who the mystery teams are is kinda fun. Green Bay? Cleveland?

Green Bay has been reported as a player all along , I really don’t like the idea. I could stomach it with a 2nd rounder but if we give up our extra 1st I’ll be pretty upset.

A 2nd rounder for arguably the best receiver in the game would be an absolute steal. Everything Davonte Adams and Randall Cobb can do Brown can do better. Pretty sure Rodgers wouldn't throw Brown under the bus they way Big Ben regularly does Brown and other Steelers players under either. Plus unlike Big Ben, Rodgers is EVERY BIT as good a QB as Antonio Brown is a receiver. That alone will command respect.

Davate is an all pro caliber receiver who always shows up - Cobb is probably not even going to get an offer from Green Bay unless Rodgers really fucking begs for it. Brown is obviously great and would add something to this offense , I wouldn't say that he can do EVERYTHING better than Davante who I think you are seriously overlooking - but I would also worry that when Adams and Rodgers chemistry shines through , especially in big moments and he might not be getting the amount of looks he feels he should than I could see shit hit the fan. I mean his biggest problems in Pittsburgh seemed to surface even more with the emergence of JuJu as a legitimate go to option. And Davante is far better than JuJu at this point - I don't know how Brown would deal with that.

Well, don't get your hopes too high on a Rodgers/AB combo.
My sources (winky wink) state that the Raiders are going to be landing Antonio Brown. Soon.
So realistically, the Raiders traded Amari Cooper for Antonio Brown. And the Raiders will still have their #4 overall pick in the draft along with the other 1st round pick. Excellent move by the Raiders.
Also; how will Juju look now? Did AB being on the opposite side help him put up insane numbers? Because he is now the #1 WR in Pitt. Hines, Holmes, AB, Juju. Let's see how he holds it down.

Nice move by Elway to get out of the big cap hit.
Washington were always going to make a QB move but this probably just locks them in for another 6 win season when they'd be better off doing a full tank. They're now on the hook for about $38 million between Keenum and Alex Smith. Yikes.

They're actually only paying Keenum 3.5 million apparently so it's not as bad as I first thought, but my first point still stands.

Gruden and Allen are on the hot seat though so they can't go and just tank the year. And they aren't in a good spot to get a QB of their desire unless someone falls IMO or they pony up and trade up.
Think it's a good deal for what it is. Skins should still draft a QB but they need a veteran guy so the rookie isn't thrown to the wolves opening day.

Jay Gruden is the perfect middling coach so I guess it makes sense to pair him with a middling quarterback so they can deliver another middling season. Miami aside there probably isn't a more pointless franchise.
