It’s not the money but either you’re going to rebuild or you’re not. Tate isn’t that young anymore and the Giants are probably a few years away from competing for anything - so I don’t understand the state signing. Especially for him. True, but I'm assuming he didn't get any sort of decent offer from the teams he would have been hoping for like the Patriots or Steelers. The fact that he signed for a relatively small contract (and after the other slot guys like Crowder and Humphries) suggests there wasn't a huge market. I understand the criticism that the Giants aren't doing one thing or another, and misjudging their window has caused some of the problems in recent seasons. But if we draft a QB he has to have someone to throw the ball to, and Tate is about as QB friendly a receiver as there is. That’s fair if you get a young QB , which has to be the thinking but otherwise what the hell. Then again the questioning begins and ends with continuing to keep and pay Eli - who should be a no brained to cut. I wonder if the main reason for the OBJ trade was to get the ammo to trade up for a QB. That’s a scary thought too because then you’re using not only a draft pick but also trading the face of your franchise. Still hate the signing for Tate. It’s his money but go somewhere like Indy and compete. I like Tate as a player so it’s going to suck watching him waste his last few good years as a Giant.

Yes, I'm keeping the faith that we end up with either Murray or Haskins. If we don't and I have to sit through another season of "well Tua and Fromm are available next draft" I will be very disappointed. If we need to trade up to make sure we get some hope for the future then I'm all for it. Potentially we could have had OBJ and Darnold already - but things could still work out. I think you're very rarely completely buried with no hope in the NFL. Oh, and I don't know what you're talking about Tate wasting his time. We're making the playoffs this season according to Kid!

Don’t be surprised if the Giants do. Eli doesn’t need a superstar WR to win a Super Bowl. His best WR was Plaxico. We all know OBJ was not going to retire in that uniform so it is what it is.
Also, I still would take Saquon over Darnold any day. Twice on Sundays.

I have always been a Tate fan going back to his Notre Dame days, yeah it doesn't necessarily make sense he'd sign with them besides maybe the Giants offering up the best finances but he's a good slot receiver and was magic with yards after the catch, think he led the NFL in that department last year? He is a feisty player too and used to or maybe still can punt return.
Jets bring back their 2017 kicker who shined for them in Chandler Catanzaro, Jets need to bring in another kicker. If I recall, Chandler bolted asap to TB not just for the money but because he didn't want any part of the cold weather(Though he might have rebunked it). I don't know, maybe again it was the water in Tampa Bay but he was really bad for the Bucs last year. Not very safe with this move but in Boyer we trust, he's found kicker after kicker whenever and wherever.

Also, I still would take Saquon over Darnold any day. Twice on Sundays. I wouldn't and I kept Barkley in my keeper league so I watched as much Giants as I could so he is really good.....but QBs matter more in this league than RB. Barkley is the better talent but you win with a QB, Giants have an uncertainty in that regard. Not to say Darnold is surefire but I saw enough good from him after his injury to think he has something. The narrative that there is always a blue chip QB is not always the case. You can find great RBs in rounds 2 and 3 too, Bell, Kamara, Hunt, D. Johnson etc. QBs isn't as common, especially ones worth a damn. Barkley talent alone should have been 1st overall, Better than Baker Mayfield, better than Sam Darnold but when you get a shot to take the QB of the future, you do it. Giants have almost nothing on defense, that's what will hold them back from competition. I can't even name five guys on that defense at this point. Janoris Jenkins, Jabril Peppers, Alec Ogletree are the only ones who jump out, I know they signed Bethea and M. Golden but still they need immediate difference makers. James Bettcher will have to create some ol' Todd Bowles all out blitzes that will get them destroyed but worthwhile offenses in the grand haul.

Tyreek Hill is currently under investigation for battery.
Could another Chief bite the dust? Even though he just signed a major contract.

Geez. These idiots never learn. When you're a professional athlete in today's society, there is no such thing as a private life. Everything's out in the public, including what you do outside the playing field.

The Chiefs knew what they were getting into when they drafted Hill in the first place, he had a history of domestic violence on his record.
Hunt on the other hand got a bit of a raw deal. The lady called him a n****er and then slapped him in the face. Sorry ladies but if you want to be treated as such, DON'T PUT YOUR HANDS ON MEN. All bets are off if you do IMO.

To an extent and sort of. It’s a touchy subject but he defintely didn’t have to kick her after he already shoved her to the ground.
There’s a difference between self respect and self defense than a world class athlete physically assaulting a woman half his size - even if she slapped him in the face.

I mean, I have slapped a chick across her face after she slapped me across mine. I was like 15-16 and she slapped me across mine in front of my boys and once I heard the “OH’S” and the ringing stopped, I slapped her with all my might and she crumpled like a sack of potatoes. Why? Because she wanted to be a man when she hit me so she got treated like one in return.
Sometimes they ask for it.

Miami Dolphins sign that jabroni Ryan Fitzpatrick. What a fit, egotistical franchise that enjoys being in status quo signing the absolute QB that defines that in Little Game Ryan Fitztragic. Hopefully Triple G crushes this scrub azz twice a year.
The two Fitzpatricks that fought legally for a little last year last year....... What could possibly go wrong?

Fitzpatrick is genuinely one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the league. I can't wait for him to pull off one of his ridiculous 400/4 games in the Dolphins annual win hosting to the Patriots.

I always loved Cobb but injuries and shit have killed his career in Green Bay. I’ll be rooting for him in Dallas.

I still don’t get your hate for Matthews. He’s the leader in sacks in franchise history. He gave a lot to that franchise. It’s not his fault Rodgers (insert diss to piss you off).
Seriously though. I don’t understand.

I don’t understand. Clay was just as big a part of the 2010 Champion Packers as Rodgers was. A lot of Packers fans seem to forget that.
