Genuinely shocked to her Taz say that Rache has been wrestling for nine years. I was willing to cut her a bit of slack from her match with Big Swole but if even Shida is struggling to work with you then you're obviously not very good. AEW has really done both of them a disservice by having someone obviously not very good hang around in pretty competitive matches.
Kind of interested to see what they are planning to do with Diamante. They've taken a lot of heat over booking Ivelisse for tomorrow which is totally understandable, but I'm prepared to wait and see if they've got a genuine storyline planned.

Lol at AEW having a women's tag tourney before even fully establishing their singles division. Maybe this means we get more than 1 women's match on Dynamite now? Hopefully, they use better talent than the usual crop of green wrestlers they have on Dark.

There just seems to be no continuity or plan. I'm sure the pandemic doesn't make it easy but when there is no sort of link or follow up on things that happen it makes it very difficult to be invested. Blindy's already mentioned the lack of follow up on the Abadon/Anna Jay stuff - that was a good segment but it's now been over a month without anything from them. Why has Penelope completely disappeared after losing her title match? She was developing momentum but has now gone AWOL. Doing a women's tag division is obviously way too early. But if you're going to do it why are you having a match between Diamante and Ivelisse to establish Diamante as a contender for Shida instead of booking them as a tag team? There's no logic to anything that's happening.

Impact fans think it is time to bring back knockout tag for all the great combos.
AEW have one actually team and not a really good one. Let's do a tag tournament.

Hiding someone with a lack of experience or just not that good in tag team does make some sense. But the problem AEW has more women like that then the ones that can cover for them. Unless they plan on hide one AEW talent with some person not on the roster with someone better from the Indies. And if that is the case why even keep most of the AEW roster around.
They are in a really bad spot where if they do a safe basic tag match then they won't be able to keep up with the rest of the stuff that happens on the show. If they try to match the rest of the show during things they aren't ready to try someone probably Britt is going to get injured.
Speaking of Britt, the first tag team match in the company was Britt getting injured. The last tag team match with only the AEW roster was Britt getting injured. And she is one some people think they could do something with because of her speaking skills.

You guys are too much. "Aew isn't doing enough with the women division" starts a tournament "eww not like that " Because it's not really a commitment to improvement, instead reads as a impulse reaction to the criticism they are getting. More consistent booking/storytelling and more than the one token women's match on Dynamite each week would have been a far more meaningful change. But if they use the tournament as a method to debut a significant group of talented women (and there's plenty out there, many considerably better than a lot of those they have chosen to use in the past 6 months) and use it as a springboard for the future then obviously I'll view it as a success. But they have many more misses than hits at the moment to be given the benefit of the doubt. As X-zero alluded to, you only need to compare it with what Impact is doing, gradually increasing their roster over time, establishing a number of tag teams and rivalries, as to see a far more organic way of introducing a tag team division.

But this jsnt the introduction of a tag team division. This is a lethal lottery tag tournament. We know cody fantasy books new era wcw, so we gonna see a bunch of feuds come out of this.

Penelope vs Kenzie wasn't bad tonight. They need to organise someone to be a proper rival for Ford - she's shown enough to be someone they build around. There's no-one on the current roster appropriate, but I think someone like Nicole Savoy who is really technically sound would be perfect.
Little mention for Kenzie's selling too, she made stuff look great.

Really think the Gut Check like move should be Ford's finisher. After taunting for the second to last move that should have been the finish and may was suppose to be but the distance was off so didn't look right.

Yeah but once again this show is a ex WWE wrestler haven home. Two ex WWE stars debut tonight for this promotion, feels like half the talent are ex WWE castoffs. This is what Cody said this will not become  Doesn't seem like Cameron/Arianne is worth it. She is a good but predictable character but awful wrestler.

There are literally so many indy talents they could have used that would have been massive upgrades over Cameron of all people. Hyann for example I think would have meshed well with Nyla as a powerhouse hoss team. Apparently the tag tourney is going to be youtube only, which is eye-roll worthy in and of itself I wonder if this tweet is accurate?
It's also really annoying that Hikaru doesn't have a real feud going on either as champ. The Penelope thing could have lasted longer than one title defense on TV also where is Penelope btw? Talk about wasting such a good performance by doing absolutely nothing with her other than one Dark win.

It’ll be a placeholder until Dr. Britt is ready.

So I guess Cameron is actually serious about wrestling and has been training extensively and even wanted to hit the indies before COVID. Appreciate the enthusiasm but yeah... of all people... out of all the other names out there 🙃

Diamante/Shida was hard to watch. It was boring and the botches stood out like a sore thumb. They just didn’t seem to click.

Am I over reading this or was the rant JR went on in the woman's match talking about the fans and the give Naomi a chance thing? Compared to the rest of the AEW roster Cameron might not seem to bad. That may actually be a legal pin in AEW almost anything else goes. I think you have 2 minutes to get out of the ring after you tag if you feel like tagging. Wrestlers can turn any normal match in to hardcore match if they feel like it.

This guy obviously has too much time on his hands, and it's obviously not news that they are dropping the ball with promoting/booking the women's division, but I still found this quite interesting:

I know they spammed the toy commercial with Brandi a ton on Dark so they probably count that as doing something with women. And them not mentioning women that much on twitter isn't surprising. The division isn't that good even grading them on a curve. And while they are trying to be nice to some of the indy wrestlers some clearly aren't ready for tv. Rache Chanel was trying to do the whole social media thing to hype her tag match but fans apparently turned on her so bad she removed all her social media account. It does hurt trying something new and overly mocked about it for not doing it well so I do feel for her.
And while I didn't say anything on those social media to her, it really is AEW fault for the backlash she received. You don't tell people these are some of the best people around the world that just have been give a chance for reason or another. Then have a less then one year green trainee on television. Because when people see her they are going to grade like someone who been in the business for a while.
