Shida will get a storyline in due time. In due time is when Brandi enters the title hunt.

It is really sad for the division when Brandi has had more storylines then all the aew women champions but together.

The penelope / shida match was pretty good. Just give me a best of 15 series. Or maybe penelope hets 15 titles matches. Id watch that every week if they dont think anyone else is worthh.

Isnt the brandi stuff mostly on dark anyway?

I'm kinda intrigued what move Serena was going for towards the end of the match with Swole where she hooked up her arms before it was countered. A powerbomb seems a bit unnecessarily dangerous, maybe an Implant Buster?

Elayna Black is making her debut on Dark tomorrow. She got good hype during the Collective weekend, and looks like fun based on the gifs I've seen. Looking forward to seeing her in action.

Man Big Swole was bad tonight, I don't think Lana is that bad even. I just do not get the hype at all.

She has had two of the worst matches in the company history. And the two best carriers in Shida and Serena couldn't get anything really good from her.

Yeah. Even Shida couldn't carry Swole to a good TV match. Hate to say it, but I think she might need to go.

I don't think Shida helped her honestly. It seemed like she made a point to take away Swole's power-game and really gave Swole very little until the end. The sunset flip botch was really unfortunate but I thought she recovered OK with a couple of big moves outside of that corner to move the match along.

While I have a genuine soft spot for Shida who is really giving her all for the company, she isn't some unbelievable talent like an Asuka or even Ronda. I don't think she's capable of having that broomstick match of carrying somebody like a Kairi could for example. She's capable with the right opponent, otherwise she gets a little lost herself.

It didn't help that she hit her biggest move of the match during the ad-break either.

In this company before Serena came everyone in division best match was a Shida match. Thunder Rosa best one probably was Serena though.

So while she can't have an amazing match with a broomstick. She still is one of the best carriers under an AEW contract.

Gotcha and I agree relative to the rest of the roster she's clearly one of the best.

Judging from social media, it seems like fans thought it was easily Swole's best match too, so what do I know?

Yeah just remember that doesnt make it good. It was just compared to her other matches in AEW.

Swole is a likeable character. I'd bet she moves merch pretty well. And this may sound bad, but i get tye feeling she is the diversity hire of the division, so she might be afforded a few more mistakes.

Agreed. She's the best female wrestler on the AEW roster by some distance, not counting Thunder Rosa who I don't think is officially AEW. But she's still a flawed wrestler, just more polished than everyone else.

They need Statlander asap, not that she was amazing but she was so different and had a real power game that not many women besides Rose contain on this roster.

Having Britt back will help the division tremendously. When they allow her to cut actual Pro Wrestling promos, she's head and shoulders above the rest and you can always patch over her limitations in the ring. Especially since she's actually improved since joining the company and appears to be only getting better. I hope they don't continue to lean into this goofy Jericho wannabe stuff with her. It was fine when she was injured since it kept her on the show but I hope they get back to where she was before Nyla broke her leg.

I'd also like to see more from Anna Jay. She has some momentum behind her, so I'd like to see AEW capitilise on that and give her more opportunities.

Fair call, for whatever reason I recalled it as Nyla throwing Statlander on her leg.

Watch dark and bte if you want to see anna jay. She is getting camera time on bte with dark order working on her character. And on dark the last while weve seen interactions with her and tay conti, as well as brandi and red velvet imvolving themselves. We are slowly working out way to a featured tag match on dark of tay/jay vs brandi/velvet. Patience is a virute with anna jay and aew

I continue to be impressed by Kilynn she moves around the ring very well, and without any of the awkwardness you sometimes see with taller women wrestlers, her fundamentals just seem really good and she got a solid match out of Brandi.

The other women's match on Dark (the tag match) was fine Kenzie Page seems pretty good.

Kilynn, Red Velvet, and Kenzie seem to be the keepers out of the Dark girls.

Abadon out with a “serious injury.” What a shame.

Didn't get the hype with her but she was going to wrestle on Dynamite this week, sucks for her. The division is somewhat depleted.

I read earlier AEW hospitalized and assumed it was Reynolds or Fenix only to find out it was her. Three injuries in two weeks is not good.

I mean if thats the case I wouldn't think too highly of the evaluators eye for talent, if they give the likes of Rache Channel and Skylar Moore way more offense in their matches.  Alex's look + the skill level she has shown in her indy/Japan work put's her at least a  tier above talents like those
