Already plan on getting Bloodbornee complete edition, so that doesn't do me much good, but I've been meaning to play the R&C remake, so cool beans.
Mighty No. 9 was barely passable, no real gain there.
Also, I already got Legend of Kay some time back when I bought a THQ Nordic humble bundle (mainly for the 2 Darksiders games), so that doesn't do me any good either.
Solid month all around if not for things I'd already done, but at least I get that remake.

Wish I had have got my free copy of Yakuza 6 when I had the chance.
I knew 35 GB for a Demo looked way too big.

Dragon Quest XI is coming to PS4 and PC on September 4th.
Can't wait, looks like the follow-up to DQ VIII I've been waiting for.

With Yakuza Kiwami 2 due out on August 28th, it's going to be a difficult juggle.

With Yakuza Kiwami 2 due out on August 28th, it's going to be a difficult juggle. Add Shadow of the Tomb Raider's September 14th release date and it's going to be ROUGH, with the exception of huge JRPG DQXI these are open world games that are no joke.
And then you think you can breathe....and NOPE Red Dead Redemption 2 October 26th.

And now you can add The Spyro Reignited Trilogy that has leaked over the web to the September new releases....September 21st for 40 dollars. PS4.....and XB1 Day one, Switch and PC versions maybe down the road? Curious about that decision.
So now that is 4 games alone that I want to play that are releasing in a span of like 12 days. Unreal.

Sega has officially announced remasters of Shenmue 1 and 2 to drop later this year, and the peasants rejoice.

This peasant is rejoicing but my wallet and sleep schedule is having a heart attack.
I feel like my patience has been rewarded. I've been looking at Shenmue 2 for the X Box for a couple years now but was holding off until an eventual HD release in line for 3.

Oh, happy fucking day. My brother moved back just in time. I've avoided all spoilers on God of War by vehemently avoiding any and all articles. So while playing my brother, a bit more adept at the mythology, is throwing out some things while watching, a couple of them I had pieced together myself, which I don't really mind, a guess is just a guess (though still annoying that he just can't keep that shit to himself). Well, earlier today he evidently was looking into something, saw one of those guesses was true and comes to play at the end of the game, and comes back and tells me that guess was true and there was an added significance to it, but not what it exactly was, turning a guess into a spoiler. Cocksucker.

In good news for Yakuza fans, SEGA is releasing remasters of 3, 4 and 5 for the PS4.
I plan on buying 4 for the PS3, but having access to 3 without having to pay overs on ebay is a welcome relief.

Considering getting Dark Souls Remastered on Friday, though kind of the fence as I still have my PS3 set up. I did almost everything wrong the first time and had no internet (was moving) so played it without a guide or help so will be very interesting playing online like the other two.

Wonder if they'll release Yakuza 5 on disc. It's the only thing I don't have on the shelf and that makes me sad.

If they release 3, 4, and 5 all physical stateside, I'll be all over them. I only have 4 and 5 digital because of PS+, would have still bought them, but since 5 was ONLY digital, I said fuck it and stayed with the PS+ offerings. I'd love to have the entire Kiryu saga on my shelf.

With the Pokemon: Let's Go announcement, I finally caved in and bought a Switch, hopefully Mario Kart and Pokken Tournament hold me over until then. Still plan on buying Mario Oddesey and the Zelda game that came out at launch, but are there any other games that I should buy right away?

Personally I really enjoyed Xenoblade Chronicles 2. I'd never played any games of the series, but the other games had such a big reputation that I felt compelled to pick it up on day one. What appeals to me about the game is that it nails the adventure component of the genre. Each world is teeming with hidden places to explore and sidequests and there's plenty of content to sink your teeth into. If you're a fan of the genre, it's well worth checking out.
Also, if you're into JRPGs, Octopath Traveler is due out in the coming months. It's a throwback JRPG made by the folks who gave us Bravely Default. If you enjoyed games like FF6 and Chrono Trigger, this is definitely a game worth keeping an eye out for.
I also had to pick up Splatoon 2. The original was such a fresh-take on the shooting genre and the second seems to really balance a lot of the issues the first game had. It's a great online multiplayer game and they constantly host events to keep you coming back.
Odyssey is the best N64 style platformer ever. I finished it all in one day and it took me to a place I haven't been since the original Banjo Kazooie came out. Similarly, Breath of the Wild gave me the same feeling of OoT where it just allowed my imagination to run wild.
There's plenty of great Wii U ports if you missed out on them. DK: Tropical Freeze is one of the best 2D Platformers of all-time, Bayonetta 2 is a crazy hack n slash and Captain Toad is an enjoyable 3D Puzzle/Platformer.
Personally I'm also looking forward to Mario Tennis. The last couple of entries have been forgettable, but the new one promises to have an enjoyable single player campaign mode and a thriving online community.

Thanks for that, Big Pete.
The last Donkey Kong game I played was DKC Returns for the 3DS, so I'll definitely be picking up Tropical Freeze at some point as well. Having said that though, Breath of the Wild will most likely be my next Switch purchase, as it looks awesome AF. I also downloaded some Pokemon Quest game, it's… well it's a game, I doubt I'll play it much, but I'm sure my nephew will like it. Speaking of Pokemon, Pokken Tournament is hella addictive, such a fun fighter game, just really enjoyable for what it is.
Looking over a number of Switch games since it's release, my list of games to get for the system, looks like this…
Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze Hyrule Warriors Kirby Star Allies Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Sonic Mania Super Mario Odyssey
A decent enough size backlog (on top of games still coming out), more than enough to keep me busy until Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu is released on November. I also might pick up both Arms and Splatoon 2, though admittedly neither one is a top priority at the moment, at least over the other games I plan on buying.

Just a random note, for those more into physical copies, the Asian import (since stateside it only released digital) of Devil May Cry 4 comes in full English if your system is set on US (English).

I ended up expanding my Switch collection even more this week (been busy working a shit ton OT, due to evacs staying at the hotel I work at), by adding Breath of the Wild, DK Tropic Freeze, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, and Minecraft (mostly for my nephew) to the list of games I own.
Next up will be the Mario Games (Aces, Kingdom, Odyssey), that I purchase next.

Got a birthday tommory, so with the money Imma be getting I got myself a chunk of games: Dead Space (the sole PS3 game I got), Fallout 4 (GOTY Edition), Kingdom Hearts 1.5/2.5, Dishonored (upgrading from PS3 to PS4, so I have all 3 games next to each other), and Dying Light (complete edition). Still gonna be on Skyrim for quite some time, but I've been putting in work to fill in all my favorites in my collection.

Finally finished a GTA game! I’ve owned all of them except 1, but never had the attention to do all the story missions and just not go on a rampage. I finished GTA V, great game though I wish the side stuff didn’t feel so empty now. I was relieved that you could Keep both guys alive after being told by everyone you had to pick Playing GTA IV now, which is by far my least favourite but giving it another chance. The graphics look awful, even for PS3 standards though..don’t remember it looking this bad and I’ve checked settings and both TV’s, everything seems like it has an Instagram filter 😂.

If you have the complete edition, play the dlc expansions. Ballad of Gay Tony has to be one of the best thing in that game.

I was partial to the Lost and the Damned myself, wish GTAV hadn't so thoroughly shit on it.
Of the main titles, I really only have GTAIII lower than IV.

Got the platinum Trophy in Street Fighter V! 10/10 difficulty rating for Platinum so I’m putting it on my resume 😂.

Found out something deeply disappointing, evidently with the Spyro trilogy...only part 1 comes on disc, and the other 2 are downloads. The game has been delayed until November, hopefully that's in an effort to put all 3 games on disc (no word yet on the cause), if not, it falls off my buy list. If I wanted digital copies, I wouldn't buy physical editions. I need to be sure that in 10 years, I still have full access to any primary game content regardless of my situation; not losing 2/3 games if I have to erase data for some reason with potentially not having access to the internet. This went from a day 1 sure buy, to up in the air questionable.
