So, apparently the new Layton game, isn't coming out until 2025. I'll be honest, that's pretty disappointing IMO, as I was super excited when they first announced it.

Blindy, Foos, RagnarokMike, have any of you played 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim before? If so thoughts in the game? Is it worth picking up?

TLDR: Very good game but not a masterpiece as most say it is, probably an 8.5/10 game. The actual SRPG portions may be hit or miss, supposedly it runs very good on the Switch which is a surprise given I felt like this was pushing the PS5 hardware(Think it was made for PS4 then again) with the laser effects and everything during it. 

I think it's worth it but you have to be cool with visual novel because 85% of this game is reading.

Yea, I got Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince and a $50 PNP Games gift card yesterday for my birthday. I've been debating on getting 13 Sentinels, or Hollow Knight (as Silksong is due any month now) with it.

A lot of people really loved 13 Sentinels and I can see why, it is a very good game but you have to know what you are getting yourself into when it comes to this game.

Nice! I thought Jet Force Gemini may have come out sooner since it was leaked over in Japan. I thought maybe it'd slipped through the cracks, instead they bundled it up with a classic in 1080 and one of my most desired games on the platform in Harvest Moon. I was so disappointed that didn't make it's way down under back in the day.

According to the datamine, there's 38 titles planned total for the N64. So far we've got 29, meaning there's 9 titles to be released.

Games still missing from the Wii Virtual Console - Bomberman Hero, Cruis'N USA, Ogre Battle 64, Super Smash Bros

Wii U - Bomberman 64, Donkey Kong 64

Leaves around 3 if they go for the maximum.

It remains to be seen whether they'll hit all 38. I'd expect the Switch 2 to be released mid - late 2024 and while I presume there will be some overlap I presume we'll only see 3 more titles. Which is fine as they already have all the essentials but it would have been nice to see more deep cuts. Games like Mischief Makers, Space Station Silicon Valley, Mystical Ninja 1-2, Rocket: Robot On Wheels, Snowboard Kids etc.

Actually my biggest request would be to have Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal available so I can actually replay Stadium I and II.

Still no DK64, le sigh.

Yesterday I discovered this gem: a history of Final Fantasy 7 speedruns. It starts with some serious cringe but don't let that scare you, the main content is a fascinating story of the glitches, tricks and skills used to break the renowned JRPG over and over again.

Never dawned on me people did speedruns for long ass jrpgs.

If it can be speedrunneth, it shall be speedrunneth.

This is why I love those games. They're just so meaty, with so much RNG built in, that you're bound to learn something new even 20+ years on. Coincidentally I was just watching a video on FFX speedruns and how they've been able to speedrun Nemesis successfully.

That's a great deal on 13 Sentinels. That's one of those releases that will greatly appreciate in value over time, so better to grab it now than when you're looking to complete the collection.

Blindy covered it, but I'm sorry I never got back to you on it. Sentinels has been on my radar since it's release and I really enjoyed Odin Sphere but I know this is a genre shift and I know the story is meant to be really good so I've largely kept myself in the dark on it.

Don't know who cares, but huge event on Twitch today in 4 hours or so. 40 streamers are going to attempt Molten Core in hardcore classic WOW. Most spent 3 months preparing for this. Everyone with the OnlyFangs tag should be streaming the raid. SodaPoppin will be raid leading this band of misfits and if a good default channel to watch if you know no one else involved since this was his creation.

Insomniac didn't deserve to get their entire gaming catalog for the next decade leaked. Personal info. of developers/workers within that company got leaked by hackers who held a couple mill ransom that Insomniac didn't want to pay. People are just shitty.

Wolverine is going to be great even if it's *rumored* to be 2026. And I am happy R&C Rift Apart is having conflicting reports of it being a success/failure because that game to me is my favorite PS5 exclusive game thus far.

I've found myself playing Destiny 2 a hell of A lot more recently, trying to finish the current season before the next DLC drops.

So I watch a ton of these Mario Kaizo videos and it has slowly dawned on me how little use I gave the spin jump. Lony did you use it much in World. I ask as you seem like the PW poster who loves the game the most.
