Not having a GM at this point is crazy. So many roster decision and cuts and additions that could/will be made and to not have a guy making those decisions and obsessions makes me wary of the Texans this year.

So many roster decision and cuts and additions that could/will be made and to not have a guy making those decisions and obsessions makes me wary of the Texans this year. I kind of agree. I just love the Texans core. Watson, Nuk, Keke and Watt. All dudes I really enjoy. Plus, breaking the heart of shinobimusashi scares me too. I keep thinking of Dabo saying that Watson is the MJ of football and it makes me think that maybe this is the season he makes that huge step forward. But even the step forward I have is them finishing 10-6 and being a 5th seed. Still, some of the wins I projected (KC, Indy, Carolina, ATL) and sweeping Jacksonville and Tennessee(!!) seems almost impossible. That 10-6 record could very easily be a 6-10 record with the dysfunction in the organization. By the time I am done with this, I might be changing Kansas City and Houston up for that 5 seed and having Houston miss the playoffs. It's hard not to, especially if I put my bias beliefs to the side.

Texans are a tough team to predict. Star-studded but zero depth. High ceiling but low floor. I can see 5 wins just as easily as I can see 11.

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
REMEMBER ME NOW?
If we don't know, now we know.... Andrew.
The return of Andrew Luck last season had a lot of people skeptical. Is he the same QB? How bad was his injury? Andrew Luck quickly reminded everyone who he was. He finished the regular season with a 4,593/39/15 line. He finished 2nd in TD passes (only behind Mahomes) and won himself the 'Comeback Player of the Year' award. Not only that, but this Indianapolis team ended up making the playoffs, winning their Wildcard game against rival Houston before being knocked out by the Kansas City Chiefs in the next round.
The magical run didn't start off so well, though. The Indianapolis Colts started the season off 1-5. It started off with a loss thanks to Jack Doyle fumbling a ball in the red zone in the final minute in the red zone with Cincinnati returning it all the way for a TD. Andrew Luck was attempting to come back into the NFL and start off with a game winning drive at home, but it got cut off on that play. The following week Indianapolis went into DC and took care of the Redskins. They would then go on to lose 4 in a row to Philly, Houston, New England and the Jets.
During that 4 game losing streak, we had some interesting things transpire. First Andrew Luck was sacked on 4th and goal in the red zone down by 4 to Philly. He would get another shot to drive down field, but was taken out on the final play of the game so Jacoby Brisset could throw the Hail Mary pass. Immediately, people started questioning Andrew Luck's arm/shoulder. They started questioning if he was good enough to be back. The following week they would lose to Houston in OT on a questionable decision to go for it on 4th down. That loss followed with a shallacking from New England and another frustrating loss to the Jets. Out of nowhere, the Indianapolis Colts were written off and were sitting there at 1-5.
Then somehow, some way, this team came back to life. They say some things in sports are unexplainable and this may be one of them. They ended up destroying the bad Bills of last season and followed it up with a win against Oakland. They would then go into their bye at 3-5, but still off of everyones radar. I mean, who couldn't beat the Bills and Raiders right? But the Colts didn't stop there. The Colts would go on to win 7 of their last 8 games (9 of 10 total) to end the season. They'd sweep Tennessee, beat the Texans and shut out the Cowboys during that 9-1 streak. The Indianapolis Colts shot up and into the playoffs out of nowhere with a 10-6 record.
In the off-season, they made some changes to their team. They bought in Devin Funchess to play WR2. They tore up the 2nd round of the draft and one of their picks was future stud WR Parris Campbell. On the defensive end, they signed Justin Houston and drafted CB Rock Yo Sin.
Their O-Line remains "in my opinion" the best in the NFL. TY Hilton is still TY Hilton. Funchess is about to have the best QB of his career throw him the ball and that man is a big body. Campbell is going to be explosive for this team. Marlon Mack is about to become an elite RB. And they still have Nyheim Hines and 2 headed TE monster in Doyle and Ebron. Shit they even brought in Brandon "F'n" Marshall for a try out. Yes, that WR Brandon Marshall. This team is not done building, because they know what they can do this season.
They have Andrew Luck leading this team and that's what drives them to know that they can win it. Let's just hope that this calf injury that is holding him out of practice right now is a minor problem. We definitely don't need another Luck injury to become a lingering problem through the whole season. I got something for you. If he is healthy, Andrew Luck is going to win the MVP this year and that is my prediction!
Let's take a look at the road this Indianapolis Colts team will be taking this year on their mission to get to the promised land.
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.
CHARGERS TITANS FALCONS RAIDERS CHIEFS TEXANS BRONCOS STEELERS DOLPHINS JAGUARS TEXANS TITANS BUCCANEERS SAINTS PANTHERS JAGUARS
PREDICTION: 13-3 RECORD
Oh yeah.
I have the Indianapolis Colts running through the NFL this season. A 13-3 record. A 5-1 division record, splitting their season series with Houston. The Colts open up their season by going head to head against monsters of the West. They beat the Chargers to open up the season and then get their revenge against the Chiefs by beating them Week 5. The Texans will end the Colts 5 game winning streak the following week as the Colts may actually be exhausted from the showdown with KC.
That loss doesn't bother Indy as they go on to win 7 games in a row. They fall to the Saints in a *spoiler alert- Super Bowl preview* on a game winning drive by Drew Brees in the final minute. The Colts end up losing the following week to Carolina, but end the season by sweeping Jacksonville. Just like the Houston Texans, the Colts go 5-1 in their division. The only losses these two teams suffer in the AFC South will be against each other.
I got the Colts winning the AFC South and that Week 1 victory over the Chargers has a huge effect on the standings. Because both the Colts and the Chargers are projected to finish 13-3, that Week 1 showdown gives the Indianapolis Colts the #1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs!
Listen, Andrew Luck is not going to have a 15-20 year career of health. He's already missed a whole season and he seems to nurse injuries differently. The fact of the matter is, he's a #1 overall draft pick and he's at that point in his career where the window is open. He needs to lead this team to the chip. Hilton is in his prime. The O-Line is magnificent. The defense is very good. He has a run game and plenty of weapons. There is no better time than now for him to get that ring. So much to the chagrin of UT , Andrew Luck will guide this team all the way to Miami and the Indianapolis Colts will walk out as the winners of Super Bowl LIV!
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP INDIANAPOLIS COLTS TY Hilton (3.03) Marlon Mack (3.08) Andrew Luck (5.04) Eric Ebron (7.02) Parris Campebell (11.11)
The Indianapolis Colts have an interesting offense. If you believe in this team like I do, this team could be fun to have on your squad.
Leading the Colts on the fantasy ADP is WR TY Hilton. He is going at the 3.03 spot and that is a major steal. I read an article that stated that this season will be Hilton's career year. Some 'experts' have went as far as to say that TY Hilton is a "glorified WR2" in fantasy football. Glorified or not, he has Andrew Luck passing to him. The addition of the new weapons to this team do worry me about this 'career year' from TY, but snatching him up in the beginning of the 3rd round is awesome. If you're grabbing him there, you're most likely pairing him up with one of the stud RBs you got with a top 3 pick in the draft and you still have the late 2nd round pick too. He is going in the same area as Keenan Allen, Mike Evans, Amari Cooper and the Vikings WR duo. If you want a WR, you're most likely picking out of this pack.
Going a handful of picks ahead of him is teammate Marlon Mack who has had his ADP shoot up in the recent weeks. At the beginning of July, he was a late 3rd-mid 4th round pick. He has now shot up to the 3.08 spot. Everyone is buying in on him, including myself. If this is his true breakout year, then I hope I have him on my team as he is doing it. I want a piece of this teams offense and Mack would be my favorite at this point. He's going around other RBs such as Leonard Fournette, Devonte Freeman and Kerryon Johnson. All guys with question marks so Marlon Mack does feel the safest.... unless Nyheim Hines scares you.
My "projected" MVP Andrew Luck is the next one up. He is going at the 5.04 spot and is the 2nd highest ranked QB in ADP right now behind only Patrick Mahomes. I took a chance on him last year in my big money league and it paid off extremely well. I got him in the double digit rounds and I ended up with a QB5 finish. Grabbing him this early in the draft frightens me. I know I'm all aboard Watson to end the 5th round, but that's because Watson (5.12) is right at the 5/6 flip. Grabbing Luck early in the 5th round means I'm passing up on a potential WR2 or a choice of TE in Engram/Howard. It's always risky to pick a QB early in drafts, but if you are confident enough in your top 4 picks, then go for it. Grab Andrew Luck and be prepared to be awarded. Just try and have Mack as your RB2 so you don't get frustrated if Mack is running in TDs. I am a huge fan of the Luck/Mack STACK. I prefer Luck/Mack over Luck/TY when it comes to stacking on my fantasy team.
Eric Ebron had a glorious year last year. Owners of him celebrated as they snatched him from the waiver wire and watched him go crazy with TDs. However, Jack "Motherfucking" Doyle is back and that means Ebron will not be the main TE target. He is the most obvious choice for regression coming into this season so this is a very easy pass from me. No Ebron for me.
Parris Campbell is going 1 pick before Devin Funchess. Campbell ends the 11th round and Funchess starts the 12th. If you want a piece of this offense this late in the draft, go with who you feel is going to be better. Truthfully, I expect good seasons from both. I think Funchess would be my pick over Campbell for this year, because I would not be surprised if Funchess becomes a TD vulture and ends the season with 8-10 TDs and 700 receiving yards. Wheras Campbell may have some explosive plays, but have no more 2 TD's for the season. Give me a chance with the big target for Luck for this season. Give me scrumptious Funchess over Campbell.
My favorite fantasy draft pick on this team: Marlon Mack (3.08)

Excellent Kid. I'm so fucking jacked up now after reading that. I honestly don't know what to think of the Texans as far as prediction goes. The whole way they've handled this GM thing is leading me to think they want to tank this year and start over with new head coach next year with new GM and a high draft pick. Not a fan of how they've handled the Clowney situation. I still get sick to the stomach thinking about how they handled Duane Brown and the years long mess it left behind.
That play by Hopkins against Dallas may be my favorite play in Texans history, it was amazing that night watching the game with my dad and my youngest brother they were converted into Texans fans finally because of that play, they caught the rest of their games with me last year, the whole family got caught up in the hype, my niece was wearing her Watson jersey yesterday when I took her to get a toy she looks so fucking boss in it.
But holy shit man that play was stone cold. It was our first win over the Cowboys since our first fucking game in 2002 and Hopkins iced their fucking ass, it was so sweet to me because I've been living in Cowboys country and dealing with all these shithead fans ever since Dak and Zeke got hot, we shut their fucking ass down(I get to rub it in for the next 4 years til we play again), Hopkins put them on ice, that little moment after the play where he gets up with that look on his face while the crowd is going nuts shit man, goosebumps, yeah maybe my favorite play in Texans history.

Speaking of the Houston Texans:
They have just released Donte Foreman. I guess that experiment is done. Everyone assumed he was going to take Lamar Millers spot, but apparently they didn’t like his work habit. After spending his career injured with Houston, they have finally given up on him.

What the fuck man?!
Thats very disappointing. When we drafted him I was working on a house for a guy who was a massive Longhorns(and Cowboys) fan, he was hyping me up big time on Foreman so I was excited about him being our future guy. He looked really good at times his rookie year especially the game where he tore his achilles(can't spell it). I had high hopes for him this year but seems like that injury really took it out of him just like it has done a lot of other guys through the years.

Supposedly he looked good at OTAs so it's a strange one. He seemed like he had a lot of potential as a short yardage back.
Texans supposedly love Karan Higdon as the potential RB2 this year. We'll see what comes of it. Texans need to get shit together man.

Texans are a tough team to predict. Star-studded but zero depth. High ceiling but low floor. I can see 5 wins just as easily as I can see 11. This wouldn't really be a problem except for the fact that all the stars have injury history. With everyone on the field they are Super Bowl contenders, but you can have absolutely zero confidence that at least one (if not more) will be lost at some stage. With that said, they are absolutely in strike now mode while they've still got Watt and Clowney on the roster. Might as well go all in and try and swing a trade for Trent Williams or Melvin Gordon.

Well if Bill O'Brien wanted either one of them they could certainly fit them in their cap. I don't really think you can cite releasing Foreman as a sign they are in any sort of calamitous state - he never did anything significant, has had probably the worst injury an athlete can have, and was being a malcontent. Teams find good running backs all the time, the fact that he was a third round draft pick a couple of years ago means nothing really.

From what I read Bill O’Brien was unhappy with the effort he was putting into practices.
They’re probably going to try and make a move for Melvin Gordon. Maybe something even crazier like going for Zeke.
OR....
They just like Lamar Millers average ass.

Well the Texans have denied they’re going after Melvin Gordon. They made it clear that they are only concerned about finding Lamar Millers backup.
So the answer was C. Is Lamar Miller underrated? Honest question.

On the fantasy forefront; with many doing mock drafts or real drafts over the weekend; ADP has changed quite a bit.
Zeke has fell to 1.03 as many worry about his holdout. CMC has moved to 1.02.
Hopkins has moved up a spot also to 1.05. Adams has also moved up to 1.06 and David Johnson has fallen to 1.07.
Later in the draft; OBJ has moved up to the 1.12 spot as more and more people are buying into Cleveland’s offense. Surprisingly, Todd Gurley has also moved up from mid 2nd round to the 2.01 spot. People seem to be buying into him being healthier then the unknown mystery surrounding him. Majority of the late first, early 2nd round movement has come due to Melvin Gordon falling to the middle of the 2nd round.
Bells holdout last season has changed how people draft now. Bell was a top 1-2 pick last season with people believing he would come back. It bit everyone on the ass and most people who drafted him missed the fantasy playoffs.

Also while we are on the topic of the AFC South;
Donte Foreman has been picked up by the Indianapolis Colts. The more and more this offseason goes, the more and more I get confident that the Texans are going to finish with a losing record. Really jumped the gun on their playoff prediction.
Edit- Just read that Clowney is expected to return to Houston after the 3rd preseason game.

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
TENNESSEE TITANS
WE ARE THE TITANS!
THE MEDI-OCRE TITANS!Long are the days of my Titans fandom. Watching Steve McNair evade tackles! Watching Eddie George rumble for yards! Watching Chris Johnson run for over 2000 yards! The days of Kerry Collins and drinking and dunking! The years of the GOAT Vince Young. That time has come and went and the Titans went in a different direction. In 2015, the Tennessee Titans went into the draft with the #2 overall pick and they selected QB Marcus Mariota out of Oregon. He was going to be the man that changed their franchise. They went QB over guys like Amari Cooper, Todd Gurley and Melvin Gordon. He came in with the hype and in his rookie season, he had the highest selling jersey in the NFL. Above fellow rookie Jameies Winston. Everyone loved Marcus Mariota. His rookie season was part A of the rebuilding system and he ended up spraining his MCL in Week 15 and missing the rest of the season. His sophmore campaign was going great UNTIL his Christmas Eve fibula fracture in Week 16. Despite the Titans finishing 9-7, they were unable to make the playoffs without Marcus. In 2017, his luck would change and he would complete the season and lead the Titans to the playoffs. They would escape the Wild Card round by defeating the Chiefs, but would get knocked out the following round by the New England Patriots. Needless to say, it looked like the Titans were heading in the right direction. 2018 ended up being ANOTHER year of Mariota being injured. He missed Week 2, half of Game 3. Week 16, Mariota left with a "stinger" and ended up missing the season finale (win and you're in the playoffs) in which the Titans lost. Now comes the final year of his contract. He has only finished 1 of his first 4 seasons without an injury. He has suffered injuries to just about every part of his body. Will the Tennessee Titans re-sign him or is this the end of the Mariota era? He has thrown for more yards then Steve McNair and Vince Young did in their first 4 years as a QB for the franchise. However, is that because of the way NFL has changed for defenses or is Mariota still the 'real deal'? The Titans record since they drafted Mariota? 30-34! That's including 3 straight seasons with a 9-7 record. 1-1 also in the playoffs. I think it's time to move on for mediocrity. For insurance purposes, the Titans have signed Ryan Tannehill as the backup to Mariota showing that history is not something they're looking to repeat. With that signing, I fully expect the Titans to move on after this season. The Titans have definitely went far and beyond getting weapons for Mariota coming into this season. They made a sneaky signing with Adam Humphries who is either going to be good or just a product of the Tampa Bay offensive system. They drafted AJ Brown. People are once again praising Corey Davis for how he looks in the off-season so far. Delanie Walker is back from injury! They even bulked up their O-Line. They are giving Marcus Mariota help to earn that contract extension. Speaking of guys on final years of contract; Derrick Henry is also going into his final. He may have been saved by his historically awesome late season surge last year in which he became a fantasy football GOD. He is given the reigns (finally) going into this season. It's not being talked up as a RBBC with Dion Lewis. It is being called HIS backfield. It's make or break time for him.I don't know how I feel about this team. I never expect them to be great or even good. Yet, they keep finishing 9-7. They have a solid defense and that's what keeps them in games. They could've made the playoffs last season, but decided to get fancy in London. Destiny was 9-7 for them. Will it continue this season? Or will the Titans get better or worse? Let's take a look at their schedule and see where I project them finishing.BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.BROWNSCOLTSJAGUARSFALCONSBILLSBRONCOSCHARGERSBUCCANEERSPANTHERSCHIEFSJAGUARSCOLTSRAIDERS TEXANSSAINTS TEXANS
PREDICTION: 4-12 RECORD
Extremely disappointing season. This is what sucks with trying to project wins of other teams prior to getting to a team. Trying to find wins for teams like Denver, Oakland and Buffalo lead to the Titans losing 3 more games then they should. However, their schedule is really tough and I don't know how well they fare against the NFC South and those explosive offenses. I don't know if the Titans can keep up. I'll give Mariota the win in the 2015 NFL Draft class battle over Jameis Winston, but it's not going to be easy.
They will still sweep the Jaguars as I have zero faith in that team, in which we'll talk about next. However, zero wins against the Colts and Texans (even though I'm eh on Houston now) is not a good look. Not even for Vrabel. An underwhelming 4-12 seasons ends the Mariota era. But have no fear; Mariota will NOT play this whole season. He will not hold full blame! Ryan Tannehill will be playing QB for them for a few games (3-4, IMO) this season. Not only will he play those games, but he will go WINLESS! That's right. Because Tannehill sucks. The Titans begin a new mini-rebuild after this season. They move on from Mariota and Henry and come out of neutral. Honestly, 7-9 is more likely then 4-12, but this is how the marbles landed.... or something along those lines. However, I could be totally wrong. Marcus Mariota could not only save his job, but have a historic (healthy) career season. The Titans could take off this year and make their way to Miami. Could Mariota go from the hot seat to Super Bowl champion? Or is it ALOHA Mariota?!FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP TENNESEE TITANS Derrick Henry (4.03) Corey Davis (9.05) Delanie Walker (12.04) Dion Lewis (13.05)A team I am not going to be chasing in fantasy football. A team that rarely lights up the fantasy scoreboards. Count me out on all of them. BUT, let's discuss.
Derrick Henry became a LEGEND last season in the fantasy playoffs. 238 rushing yards for 4 TDs on 17 carries, including a 99 yard "GET OFF ME!" run that was insane. Unfortunately, he had his legendary 4 TD game on many peoples benches OR WORSE, the waiver wire. Actually, I think having him on your bench is worse. To those lucky (yet unfortunate) souls who snuck into the fantasy playoffs with Derrick Henry as your RB, you were blessed. I said many teams knocked off the 1 seeds that week, because no 1 seed was starting Derrick Henry. I've heard people talk about Henry being a last minute fill in for Melvin Gordon or James Conner. I've heard the heartbreaking stories of people who lost and got eliminated because Derrick Henry was on their bench. I heard it all. That is how he became a fantasy football legend. Except, here we are again. 2 straight years of the Derrick Henry hype train running wild in the offseason. Many are suggesting that he is going to continue that random act of dominance heading into this season. Do I buy it? HELL NO! This dude is not consistent and he's not that great. I mean, even in his unbelievable game against Jacksonville, this dude was exhausted on the sideline and didn't want to come back onto the field. He said he wanted "others to eat". Please. Dude was gasping for air. The fans cheered for him to get back on the field for a 5th TD and he was too tired to get in. Count me out of the Derrick Henry hype, but it was fun to talk about that unbelievable 47.8 PPR effort.
Here we go again. Another Titan, another ride on the offseason hype train. Listen, I want Corey Davis to succeed. I like the dude. Do I think he's great? No, but let's pretend I believe in him enough to look into it. Most WRs have their breakthrough season in Season 3 of their career. Enter Season 3 for Corey Davis. Do you really want to bank on Corey Davis? Depends on your tastes. WRs going right after him are DK Metcalf, Courtland Sutton, Keke Coutee and Curtis Samuel. I'd probably rank Corey #3 of guys I want in that group.
Delanie Walker missed basically the whole season last year. A season ending Week 1 injury ended his year, but he's back. He has been a steady, productive TE ever since he went to Tennessee. For the Titans and for fantasy owners. However, he comes into this season coming off of a big injury and on the wrong side of 30 and I don't know. It's not the worst thing in the world to grab him in the 12th round. He may be good enough to plug into your lineup if you passed on TE's through the first 11 rounds. I wouldn't be against that security blanket. Just age and recent injury frighten me. But by this point in the draft, you're not breaking your season by grabbing him.
Dion Lewis could easily take the starting job from Derrick Henry if he gets injured. He's still going to be the pass catching back and this could easily still be a RBBC. If you want to fill out your bench with some RBs with potential, Dion Lewis is a good enough pick for that. Especially if Derrick Henry doesn't devour the starting job.MY FAVORITE FANTASY DRAFT PICK ON THIS TEAM: Corey Davis (9.05)

There isn't an NFL team that I feel more apathetic about than the Titans but four wins seems very harsh considering they have nine in each the previous three seasons and are returning basically the same team with a potentially improved group of receivers.

There isn't an NFL team that I feel more apathetic about than the Titans but four wins seems very harsh considering they have nine in each the previous three seasons and are returning basically the same team with a potentially improved group of receivers. Yeah, I kind of went over that. It’s the games where I was trying to give bad teams wins and I gave one too many against the Titans. But I’m also going to be honest with myself and history and say that Mariota playing 12.5 games this season would probably have me betting on the under. Tannehill will be starting. Then you got Derrick Henry who is injured but is supposed to be the work horse of this team. I don’t know if 4-12 is their record but that’s just how everything fell. It does feel dumb to have them with less wins then Denver right now, but too late to go back on previous standings. 4-12 it is for me. Between Houston’s winning playoff record, Indy being the top seed in the AFC and Tennessee and Jacksonville both being awful; I could probably say with confidence that the AFC South may not be my best work.

Realistically they can split with Houston and beat Buffalo, Denver and Oakland. Having them go 2-2 against the NFC South seems reasonable and fair too but all that does is bring the Titans to 8-8.

I believe Tannehill is a better quarterback than Mariota so I don't think him seeing the field would be the worst thing in the world. At the very least he is far, far better than having to put in Matt Cassell or Blaine Gabbert. Your second post there seems much more realistic to me. I'd be surprised if their series with the Texans isn't at least a split with that weird situation of two games in the last three weeks (who knows what Houston will look like at that stage with their potential for injuries) and let's not forget that they beat the Patriots and Cowboys last year, I would almost expect them to do the same to a "better" team like the Chargers or Panthers this season.

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
HERE COMES ST. NICHOLAS!
And we know if he's been bad or good, so let's hope he's good for Jacksonvilles sake!
Last year was an embarrassment. A mess. A disaster. Nothing worse then the 'Derrick Henry Game' where they just got run over and abused. A year to surely forget.
After an amazing season in 2017, the Jaguars came into last season with a lot of hype. Many thought they'd replicate their previous season with another amazing season. Many thought they could actually be good enough to win the Super Bowl. But last year started off like a shit show. Leonard Fournette was injured in the first game of the season and never really got back to full health. Even when he did, he ended up finding a way to get suspended for a fist fight. After spending the 4th overall pick in the draft on him, many expected him to carry this franchise, but so far poor attitude mixed in with injuries and people are worried about Fournette being the future. This year is a huge year for Fournette.
Then you got the outspoken Jaylen Ramsey who started last season off by talking shit about every QB in the NFL. That attitude has followed him into this offseason as he is now demanding superstar money and might not get it in Jacksonville.
Tom Coughlin knew that the only way to avoid last seasons disaster was to make some big moves coming into this season. The Jaguars finally got rid of Blake "The Snake" Bortles and signed Super Bowl winning Nick Foles. They lost TJ Yeldon and Corey Grant and signed Alfred Blue and drafted RB Ryquell Armstead. More on Armstead later on. They also brought in Chris Conley at WR to help bolster their passing game.
Their O-Line is healthier and they got a great draft pick with hometown boy Jawaan Taylor out of Florida. Cam Robinson should be healthy, too. That should be good news for Fournette and for Foles. Also, people are expecting that D to come back to form. After losing Tayshaun Gibson and Malik Jackson, the Jaguars somehow watched Josh Allen from Kentucky fall to them at the 7th pick. The Jaguars ended up walking out of the draft as one of the big winners. Now it's a matter of if these guys can actually perform at the NFL level.
The Jaguars are surely coming into this season with some hype. People are expecting progression from this team this season. Many are expecting Nick Foles to be the savior and he could be. If that D returns to 2017 form, all Nick Foles has to do is minimize mistakes and make big plays. If Fournette breaks out, like I expect him to, then the Jaguars can be dominant once more. BUT.... I don't see it. I actually believe the Jaguars will be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season. Let's take a look at their tough schedule and see where they end up.
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.
CHIEFS TEXANS TITANS BRONCOS PANTHERS SAINTS BENGALS JETS TEXANS COLTS TITANS BUCCANEERS CHARGERS RAIDERS FALCONS COLTS
PREDICTION: 3-13 RECORD
Damn!
Now that's a bad team. I feel like I'm really underselling this division and possibly fucking it up. I mean, they're 3-13 but I have them beating the Panthers and the Saints?! Does that make any sense?! No, but weird shit like this happens. Here's how I see it going.
I want to say Fournette breaks out this year. 1,400 yards rushing, 12 rushing TD's. All that good stuff. Nick Foles is actually a good QB like he was supposed to be. He's not just a worked in Philly QB.
But I just do not see it happening.
My prediction is Doug Marrone is the first HC fired this season! Tom Coughlin fires him after an embarrassing loss in London to division rivals Houston and they head to their BYE week with a 2-7 record AND a new Head Coach. The disastrous meltdown of a season has now hit rockbottom.
Their new offensive coordinator was a dud in Minnesota last year and was loathed by people. I don't see how they think this guy (Defilippo) is going to turn things around. I don't think Nick Foles is that good of a QB. I don't think he replicates what he did in Philadelphia. Sure, they got Dede Westbrook who could have a breakout year, but until he shows he is a stud, I ain't buying into it.
This offense is not good. This defense is probably going to implode. Will Ramsey even finish the season in a Jaguars uniform or will the Jaguars trade him away for draft picks? Who knows?
Too many personalities. Not enough leadership. I don't see this team being as good as some 'experts' believe they will be. Injuries cost them last season and this season it will be bad play. There is no way Doug Marrone finishes the season as the Head Coach of this team and I see Jacksonville heading into the offseason with a top 5 draft pick.
Maybe I just don't get it. Maybe St. Nicholas Foles is really a savior. Who am I to judge a Saint and all his powers? I mean, he beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl and won MVP! There's no way he's not great. It was just Jeff Fisher who made him look bad. Nick Foles is going to help Dede break out. Chark is going to continue to improve. Conley is going to be a great addition. Fournette is going to stay healthy for 16 games. This division goes back to Jacksonville as their D dominate opponents once again! Nick Foles could lead this team on a local trip to Miami and walk out with his second Super Bowl ring giving Jacksonville their first ever championship!
Can Nick Foles win 2 rings while Carson Wentz watches?! Jaguars/Eagles SUPER BOWL?! YOU NEVER KNOW!
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS Leonard Fournette (3.06) Dede Westbrook (8.12)
Yup. That's it. TWO. 2 GUYS!
Out of 202 positions in the NFL, only 2 players in Jacksonville ranked. Okay, so their D ranked too but I don't do defenses with run downs. Defenses and kickers should always be picked in the final 3 rounds of drafts, in my opinion. So, two offensive players. This should be quick.
I love where Fournette is going. There's no secret I've been on this dudes bandwagon since he got drafted. I loved him coming out of college and was super pleased with him his rookie season. Last season I took him in the first round of my big money draft and he fucked me over. I got lucky with James Conner and CMC though, but back to Lenny. If this dude comes into this season with a chip on his shoulder, he is going to be very dangerous. I am definitely going to be grabbing this dude if he falls to me in the mid 3rd round. Hell, I might still grab him at the beginning of the 3rd round. It's an excellent value if you think he can stay healthy all year; which is a big IF. If I get Fournette on my teams, I am 100% drafting Ryquell Armstead later in the draft as a handcuff! You should too. Better safe than sorry.
Dede Westbrook is the only WR coming into this season that the fantasy drafters want a piece of. I still remember him before his rookie season talking about breaking Anquan Boldins records as a rookie. That never happened. He has shown some bright spots and the capability to be a stud WR, but has never been consistent or healthy enough throughout to make it happen. He's going at the very end of the 8th round and is going around players MVS, Marvin Jones, Corey Davis and Curtis Samuel. That's the area where you kind of throw a dart and hope you get the right one. If you believe in Dede, you go for it.
MY FAVORITE FANTASY DRAFT PICK ON THIS TEAM: Leonard Fournette (3.06)

2019 PREDICTION
Indianapolis Colts- 13-3 Houston Texans- 10-6 Tennessee Titans- 4-12 Jacksonville Jaguars- 3-13
The Indianapolis Colts run away with the division and walk out with the #1 seed in all of the AFC. The Houston Texans survive the clusterfuck of the front office and walk out with a Wildcard miracle berth. The Titans and Jaguars struggle throughout the season and are in the gutter of the NFL.

AFC PLAYOFFS 1- Indianapolis Colts- 13-3 2- Los Angeles Chargers- 13-3 3- New England Patriots- 12-4 4- Cleveland Browns- 11-5 5- Houston Texans- 10-6 6- New York Jets- 10-6
WILDCARD ROUND:
3- New England Patriots def. 6- New York Jets 23-17 The hype is real coming into this match up. The NY media believes that the Jets may actually do it. They may end the reign of the New England Patriots. The New England Patriots are not sitting pretty in a BYE week and have to defend their title by winning a wildcard match up. The Patriots hold a 20-10 lead heading into the 4th quarter. Sam Darnold leads his team down field and hits Chris Herndon with a huge TD on 3rd and goal and makes this a 3 point game with 7 minutes remaining. The defense now has to step up and make a huge stop. TB12 leads his team downfield and knows a TD puts this game away. On 3rd down, Tom Brady is rushed and has to throw it away. Gostkowski comes out and kicks a 40 yard FG to put the Patriots up 23-17 with 2:44 seconds remaining. Sam Darnold is now put on the field on the biggest drive of his young career. A pair of dump off passes to Leveon Bell get the Jets near midfield at the 2 minute warning. The whole world is watching. After an incomplete pass, Sam Darnold throws a bomb downfield to Robbie Anderson and it is DEFLECTED BY STEPHEN GILMORE AND INTERCEPTED BY PATRICK CHUNG! Patrick Chung dives forward and downs the ball. Foxborough erupts into cheers and Sam Darnold falls to his knees. A heartbreaking finish and a heartbreaking loss that sends the Jets into the following offseason knowing that they 'almost' got through the Patriots. The Patriots advance to the next round to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
4- Cleveland Browns def. 5- Houston Texans 38-28 In another exciting AFC Playoff match up, we get Baker Mayfield vs Deshaun Watson! Two unbelievable college athletes making their names known in the playoffs. Baker Mayfields playoff debut starts off with a pick 6 on the first drive giving the Texans a lot of excitement to start the game. The game is back and forth as the Texans go into half up 14-10. The second half shows both offenses come out with fire. Baker Mayfield hits OBJ with a bomb TD to put the Browns up in the 3rd quarter. Deshaun Watson answers back with a bomb of his own to Will Fuller. The two teams enter the 4th quarter with the Browns up 24-21 and driving. Baker Mayfield rushes in a TD and the Browns go up by 10. Deshaun Watson is under pressure a lot in the 2nd half, but does some Steve McNair-like shit avoiding pressure and continuously finding someone. After a grueling drive, Watson hits Hopkins in the corner of the end zone making this a 31-28 deficit with 4 minutes to go. The Cleveland Browns get the ball and know that a few first downs can end it. However, Nick Chubb has something else in mind. On the first play of the ensuing drive, Nick Chubb takes it 72 yards to the house sending the Cleveland crowd into a frenzy! The Browns are back up by 10 and the heart has just been ripped out of Houston. After an exhausting previous drive for Deshaun Watson, he comes out too quick for the following drive and is unable to lead his team downfield. The pressure is too much and the Texans fail to convert on 4th down turning the ball over. Baker kneels the game away and walks out victorious in his playoff debut. The Browns now advance to take on the top seeded Indianapolis Colts.
DIVISIONAL ROUND:
1- Indianapolis Colts def. 4- Cleveland Browns 27-17 The Cleveland Browns come into this game off of their high in Ohio. The Baker legend grows and many people are now rooting for this high flying offense. The methodical approach that has led the Indianapolis Colts to the top seed in the AFC continues in this game. Andrew Luck continues his MVP-like season in the first half with time draining drives led by 3 straight scoring drives. The Browns only manage a TD on the final drive of the first half as Baker hits Landry with under 30 seconds to go. The Colts go into halftime up 17-7, but that last second TD has the Browns coming out feeling positive. Baker gets the ball first to open up the second half and uses that energy burst to lead his team down field. A dropped TD by OBJ drains the adrenaline a bit and the Browns have to settle for a FG. The energy drainage continues as Andrew Luck once again leads a methodical drive down field that takes up 8 minutes of the 3rd quarter and ends with a 30 yard FG by Adam Vinateri. The Colts go into the 4th quarter still up by 10, 20-10. The frustration begins to build for Baker and Co as their drive stalls with a dropped pass by Njoku. However, their D steps up and forces the Colts into their first 3 and out of the game. With 10 minutes to go, Baker marches his team down field. After ANOTHER DROP BY OBJ in the end zone, Baker Mayfield takes things into his own hands scrambling for a heroic 15 yard TD run. The Browns are only down by a TD with a little under 5 minutes to go. Now all they have to do is have their defense force Andrew Luck off the field. The methodical approach continues for the Colts as they hold the ball up to the 2 minute warning. The Browns have 1 more timeout left and have the Colts on 3rd and 5 in Browns territory. That is when Parris Campbell becomes a legend in Indianapolis. A slant route hits Campbell right in the chest and instead of stopping for the first down, he blows past everyone and goes 40 yards for a TD. Campbell does his best impression of the Lambeau Leap as he leaps into the roaring crowd. Baker Mayfield watches in shock from the sideline as the Colts are back up by 10. Baker gets back on the field with 1 timeout left and gets his team into FG range with 35 seconds to go. They spike the ball and send their kicker out onto the field to try and make this a one possession game and hope that they can recover the onside kick. However, all that planning and hoping leads to nothing as Greg Joseph doesn't even come close on his FG attempt as it goes wide-WIDE right. The Browns blame Joseph and their kicking woes, but the real reason they lose this game is because the Colts are just that damn good. The Cleveland Browns go into the offseason knowing that dropped passes ruined them in this game, but they feel confident they will come back better the following season. The Indianapolis Colts head to the AFC Championship with a home game.
#3- New England Patriots def. #2- Los Angeles Chargers 34-17 As is the talk for a second week in a row; many believe that THIS is the game where the Tom Brady era comes to an end. Philip Rivers is going to silence his critics and finally win the big game. He is going to finally knock out Tom Brady and join names that are associated with him such as Brees, Roethlisberger and Eli and become a Super Bowl Champion!.... except, it's just another Chargers playoff game. Tom Brady comes out firing to open up the game leading the Patriots to a TD on the opening drive. The Chargers fail to do anything with their first 2 drives in the first quarter and Brady has the team in the red zone to end the quarter, still up 7-0. At the beginning of the 2nd quarter, TB12 finishes his big drive by hitting Edelman with his 2nd TD of the game. The Patriots have a commanding 14-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter. As the quarter continues, both teams trade FGs and the Patriots go into the half up 17-3. The 2nd half is all urgency for the Chargers and you can see it on the first drive. A promising drive ends with Rivers being picked off by Gilmore. Tom Brady doesn't make those kind of mistakes, though. He quickly leads his team down field and watches Sony blast into the end zone to put the Patriots up by 3 TDs late in the 3rd quarter. Everyone has given up on the Chargers at this point and can you blame them? Rivers does manage to lead a TD drive to open up the 4th quarter as he hits Mike Williams with a fade into the corner of the end zone. The Patriots are still up 24-10 and basically close the game out on their next drive with a 45 yard FG from Gostskowski. The following drive for the Chargers ends with Hunter Henry fumbling the ball and the Patriots returning it for a TD. The Patriots are now up 34-10, yet the arena is still filled BECAUSE ALL HOME GAMES FOR THE CHARGERS ARE ROAD GAMES ANYWAYS! The Patriots crowd is still there, enjoying the view. Rivers leads a garbage time drive and hits Keenan Allen for a TD with a little under 2 minutes to go, but that does it. The Patriots dominate throughout the whole game and send the Chargers home with another disappointing playoff showing. The New England Patriots, once again, are headed to the AFC Championship with a showdown against Andrew Luck in Indianapolis.
AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:
#1- Indianapolis Colts def. #3- New England Patriots 30-27 In the showdown that doesn't have many people too excited, we get a Luck/Brady showdown. Everyone is ONCE AGAIN doubting the Patriots coming into this game. The Jets were 'supposed' to end their reign. The Chargers were 'supposed' to end their reign. Yet, neither could. Now will the top seed in the AFC, the Indianapolis Colts, do it? We start the game off with both teams trading FGs on their opening drive. Bellicheck copies what has made the Colts so dominant this season as he begins setting TB up for meticulous, long drives. The first quarter ends with both teams tied at 3 in this game of chess. A long drive by TB12 ends with Damien Harris diving into the end zone putting the Patriots up 10-3. Andrew Luck leads his team down field on the next drive, but they are stopped from the end zone and Vinateri kicks another FG. The Colts are now 10-6. With 2 minutes to go, Tom Brady leads his team on a successful 2 minute drive culminating on a TD pass from TB12 to rookie N'Keal Harry. That is the final score of the half as the Patriots go into the half up 17-6. The second half starts and people are already talking about how the Patriots are about to go to yet another Super Bowl. The Colts are being outcoached and are struggling to move the ball on offense. They're even struggling to stop the Patriots on 3rd downs, which leads to longer and longer drives. However, to open up the 2nd half, Andrew Luck comes out with a different attitude. He leads his team downfield and finishes it off by hitting Jack 'Motherfuckin' Doyle for a TD. Just like that, the Colts have cut it to a 4 point deficit. The Colts D comes out on fire on the next drive and force TB12 into a 3 and out for the first time this game. The Colts are now fired up and Andrew Luck is leading the fire. He marches downfield with another big drive that ends with him hitting his other TE, Eric Ebron, for another TD. The Colts have now taken the lead with a minute left to go in the 3rd quarter. The Colts are up 20-17 heading into the 4th quarter. The 4th quarter opens up with TB12 being the GOAT as he converts on 2 straight 3rd and longs extending the drive and moving them down field. Tom Brady finishes this drive by hitting his favorite target Julian Edelman on a slant and gone 25 yard TD pass. The Patriots jump ahead 24-20 with 7:10 to go in the game. The game is far from over, though. Andrew Luck is playing on a whole other level right now. He marches his team down field with unbelievable throw after unbelievable throw. The Patriots D can't catch their breath and an unbelievable catch by TY Hilton on the sideline puts the Colts at 1st and goal from the 7 yard line. It takes 2 tries, but Marlon Mack TRUCKS himself into the end zone giving the Colts a 27-24 lead with 3:14 seconds to go. Enter TB12. This time the magic that is Tom Brady hits on another level. After a failed 3rd down play, TB12 makes an unbelievable throw hitting the aging, raging Benjamin Watson for an unbelievably risky 30 yard TD on 4th down. This brings it to the 2 minute warning and the Patriots are in FG range. The Colts enter with all their timeouts remaining and TB12 is able to extend the drive with a 15 yard pass on the first play. With the ball at the 19 yard line, TB throws an incomplete pass on 1st down. On 2nd down, Sony is handed the ball off for 4 yards. The Colts quickly call a timeout, knowing that they do not want the Patriots to have the ball last. On 3rd down, the Colts make their biggest defensive play of the season by breaking up a pass to Edelman. That sends Gostkowski out onto the field and most importantly TB12 to the sideline. Gostkowski hits the 32 yard FG to tie the game at 27 with 1:37 to go. Enter MVP. Enter Andrew Luck. Enter history. The year before, the Patriots won the AFC Championship game by having the ball last. A year later, the tables have turned and Tom Brady is on the sideline (like Mahomes the year prior) watching Andrew Luck lead his team down field. Andrew Luck shows off all his targets on this quick drive. Funchess gets a reception and is pushed out of bounds. TY Hilton gets a slant that he takes past mid field. Eric Ebron catches one on the sideline and steps out of bounds. With no timeouts left for New England and 1 left for Indy; Andrew Luck hits Nyheim Hines on a dump off pass who takes it all the way to the 23 yard line before being tackled. The Colts let the time drop down to 2 seconds before calling their final timeout. Enter GHOST. Enter Adam Vinateri. On the final play of the game, Adam Vinateri drills a 40 yard FG against his former team as time expires(!!!!) to send the Indianapolis Colts to their first Super Bowl in the Andrew Luck era. It also sends Tom Brady and the New England Patriots home 'that' close to once again reaching the Super Bowl. The Indianapolis Colts are your 2019 AFC Champions!

Duke Johnson is now apart of the Texan family, traded to the Texans. Cleveland getting a 2020 4th round pick that can become a 2020 3rd.
Seems like a good move, Johnson was always a contributor when he got touches or passes. Does he change Kid's rankings? You going to root for Duke Todd or Shin?

It definitely makes me believe more in the Houston offense. I thought it was odd to have Lamar Miller be there with no help in the backfield. Makes me more confident in the 10-6 record and much more confident in my prediction of Deshaun Watson being the #1 fantasy QB this season.

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
LOS ANGELES RAMS
MONSTERS OF THE WEST!
There is only one correct way to start when we switch over to the NFC. It's by starting off with the defending, reigning NFC Champions; The Los Angeles Rams!
They came into last season like a wrecking ball. Explosive. Game changer. Sean McVay has become the new 'hot thing' and if you ever pissed in a urinal beside him, you too can be a Head Coach! Because everyone wants a piece of that McVay air/aura/tree. This dude is being praised as the man who changed the way football is being played. He has taken potential busts in Jared Goff and Todd Gurley and made them from stars to superstars. The weapons he has surrounded Goff with are all good to great WRs. Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp. All three with their one thing that they do best.
On the defensive side, they are led by NFL's #1 ranked player; Aaron Donald. He has already solidified himself as a Hall Of Famer and his resume keeps getting better and better. Last year, they had stars on the team. King Kong Suh, Aqib Talib, Marcus Peters. All loud mouth, brash players. This team finished last year as the #1 overall seed with a 13-3 record. They got somewhat lucky on the 'no call' against the Saints in the NFC Championship game. They made it all the way to the Super Bowl (deservingly or undeservingly, depending whos side you are on). After the NFL had the highest scoring season in history; the Rams came in and.... shit the bed and scored only 3 points!
So what went wrong? A LOT! First thing first, they ran into the genius Bill Bellicheck. Second, Todd Gurley barely played with was this "mysterious knee injury". Cooper Kupp was out. Jared Goff played terribly. No matter how hard the Rams D played to keep it low scoring, it did not matter. Outplayed, outcoached and probably the most boring Super Bowl of all time.
So the Rams come into this offseason looking a bit differently. They got rid of Ndamukong Suh, Rodger Saffold, Lamarcus Joyner, John Sullivan, CJ Anderson and Mark Barron. They accepted the 5th year option on Marcus Peters and re-signed Dante Fowler. They made more additions to their defense by acquiring Eric Weddle and UT 's favorite defensive player in the NFL Clay Matthews. What happens to those State Farm commercials now? Ugh; sad times.
This team looks just as complete as they did last season. Their defense is stacked. Wade Phillips is still there coaching, which means they'll still be awesome. The secondary plans on continuing their nickname of "Lockangeles". There is no doubt in my mind about this D. Aaron Donald is most likely winning DPOTY again unless Khalil Mack has a career year. The questions really remain on their offense. Can they keep that same firepower?
I'll start by talking about the elephant in the room, which is the knees of Todd Gurley. Can he, will he be the same player that got that huge, record breaking contract? Are his knees really giving out on him already OR is the media overreacting and making a big story about nothing? I don't know! That's the crazy part. The Rams don't seem to know, either. They made sure they had secondary plans just in case. Instead of keeping CJ Anderson, they made sure to match the Detroit Lions offer on Malcolm Brown and drafted highly anticipated Darrell Henderson out of Memphis. The Rams are making sure that if those knees go; they have a plan.
Then there's Cooper Kupp. When he tore his ACL, it broke my heart. Shattered it. This guy was going to get me paid(!!!!) in fantasy football. I believed in him and had him on all my money leagues. This guy was doing great for the Rams, too. He was by far Goffs favorite target. And then the injury happened and he came back too soon and it got worse. NOW, the Rams feel it's wise to repeat the same idiotic mistake and they are saying Cooper Kupp is ready to come back?! OH COME ON! There's no way this guy is healthy enough after a torn ACL to be up and ready to go for fucking football that soon. There is no way unless that liberal state has some sort of IT guy installing chips into these players. Did they sacrifice Gurley's knees for Kupp's ACL? Is that what they did?! Take out of Gurley and implant into Kupp?! YOU NEVER KNOW! LOS ANGELES IS A STRANGE FUCKING CITY.
The Rams should realistically continue to dominate. Is it possible to look better then last year? I don't know. Only thing that can stop the Rams right now is these injuries to the offense. Is Gurley good? Is Kupp really good? Is Goff really a good QB? Let's take a look at the Rams schedule and.... wait.... what? Is it really important to tell them? Okay. I guess. You're right. Fine. In picture? Okay. Ugh.
Look who else the Los Angeles Rams signed this off-season!
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.
PANTHERS SAINTS BROWNS BUCCANEERS SEAHAWKS 49ERS FALCONS BENGALS STEELERS BEARS RAVENS CARDINALS SEAHAWKS COWBOYS 49ERS CARDINALS
PREDICTION: 12-4 RECORD
Well, my projections surely see this being a rough start for the Rams. After beating Carolina to open up the season, they go into a 'revenge game' against the Saints. The Saints are going to come out and punch these guys in the mouth in this game. That wakes the Rams up to be able to punch the Browns in the mouth the following week.
After 10 games, my projections have the Rams at a slightly average 6-4 record. Nobody is really talking about them right now as Super Bowl favorites. They haven't really looked amazing like the season before. They've lost to the Saints and Bears who are legit contenders for the championship. A loss to the rising Falcons in a shoot out leaves the Rams knowing that they let one get away. Their loss to their division rival Seahawks in Seattle stings the most.
After being banged around by the Bears and struggling to get anything going, they are officially written off by the media. Nobody wants to talk about them. People are wondering if they can get through their 2 remaining games against Arizona, their 2nd showdown against Seattle and SF and their big match up against Dallas. Heck, the Rams are only 1.5 favorites heading into their game against the Ravens(!!!!) because people think the Ravens D can do what Chicago just did to them.
But that's when Sean McVay goes "genius mode". Because all this Todd Gurley noise, all these signings, every situation this team gets placed in this season is for one reason; to hit the gas when it's time. The Rams go from 6-4 and forgotten about to banging out 6 straight wins to close out the season. They sweep the hot Arizona Cardinals. They avenge their loss to Seattle, finish their sweep of the Niners and go to Dallas and layeth the smackdown on the Cowboys.
The Rams walk out the winners of the NFC South and march into the playoffs. What seed will they be? I don't even know yet. We'll see how things play out. Can this Rams team take it slow at the start and then slam the gas and win 9-10 straight games in a row? Will this Los Angeles team go out East to Miami and avenge their loss from last year and walk out the Super Bowl Champions?
Las Vegas gives them the 3rd best odds.
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP LOS ANGELES RAMS Todd Gurley (2.02) Brandin Cooks (4.04) Robert Woods (4.06) Cooper Kupp (5.01) Darrell Henderson (7.09)
At the top of the list is the man who has been the best fantasy RB for the past 2 years. Todd Gurley has been on a seesaw the past month when it comes to ADP. He was as low as bottom of the 2nd about a month ago, stayed in the middle of the 2nd round for a bit and is now at the 2.02 spot. People are really unsure if they want to believe all the 'knee talk'. They think that if Gurley is who Gurley has been for 2 years, it would be straight up stupid to pass up on him. At the 2.02 spot, I can possibly have Gurley paired up with OBJ, Cheetah or James Conner. A powerful 1-2 punch if Gurley is fine. If not, then you are drafting him and worrying all year about when Gurley may sit out a game or if that knee will flare up. It's definitely a risky pick, but a risk more and more people are willing to make lately.
Brandin Cooks leads the Rams WRs in ADP. It's not by much as all 3 guys are going in basically the same area. Cooks is the explosive player. Him going at the 4.04 spot means he's either your WR2 or WR1 after you worked on your RBs and maybe even one of the big T3E. Regardless, I aint mad at this pick. ESPECIALLY as your WR2.
Robert Woods falls into the same category, going 2 picks after Cooks. So you miss out on Cooks by 2 picks and you get reliable Robert? Sounds good with me. He led the Rams in fantasy last year and finished as their WR1. So why do people go for Cooks more? Those explosive plays and to be honest, that Buffalo stint really squashed the power of Robert Woods and his name. If Woods is your WR1 or WR2, you should be in decent shape. I think he finishes as the top WR for the Rams again in fantasy football. He finished top 12 in all of the NFL last year. No reason he should be going after Cooks, IMO.
Cooper Kupp. My friend. My boy! I really, really like this dude. I like the way he plays. I like his attitude. This guy is awesome! BUT.... he just tore his ACL. Sean McVay can say whatever he wants, but there is no way in hell Kupp is going to be as explosive as he was last season. If you're picking him to open up the 5th round, you are really minimizing your ceiling. I hope I'm wrong on this guy, but I am not taking him this season. The risk for re-injury is too high for top of the 5th round for me.
The man, the myth, the Henderson! Yup, Darrell Henderson has been fantasy footballs worst kept secret this offseason. Everyone loves him and loves the potential of him taking over if Todd Gurley misses time. I was all aboard on this at the beginning of my fantasy research (which is beginning of July). Now as time has passed, I'm not even sure this guy is going to surpass Malcolm Brown on the depth chart. Who said Henderson was the guy? Just because they drafted him this season does not mean he is taking over for Gurley if Gurley goes down. I mean, sure there is a chance, but 7th round?! That is called OVERHYPE. He is going AHEAD of Latavius Murray, Jordan Howard and Kareem Hunt. The first 2 I mentioned who will definitely finish with more fantasy points than Henderson. I already know how this goes for Henderson. Someone drafts him early and then drops him after the 5th or 6th week because he is not doing shit. Then he becomes a hot waiver wire pick up towards the end of the season. If you are taking Henderson in the 7th round, you better be patient with him or you could hand someone the championship on the waiver wire. That's the only place I want this guy. I am not drafting him, but he is a late season waiver wire score.
MY FAVORITE FANTASY DRAFT PICK ON THIS TEAM: Robert Woods (4.06)
