The secondary plans on continuing their nickname of "Lockangeles".
This is not a thing. Yeah, unfortunately for them. That’s still the nickname they went with.

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
THE HOME OF THE '12'!
The birth place of the '12' is the home of former champions. A place which was once defended by the squad of 'Boom'. A home where warriors would get hit, but get right back up because you can't spell 'Baldwin' without the word 'win'. A home where 'beasts' would rumble over wild horses, leaving rubble of the 'broncos'. A home where beasts would even rumble over the good of a 'saint'. There was no animal, spirit or mother (check Lynch vs mom at camp video; classic Lynch!) that could stop this 'beast'. The leader of this home was a man who didn't have to be here. He didn't have to choose this battlefield as his 'home', but faith brought him here. Because physicality does not scare him. Size is just a number to him. Because you can't hit what you can't catch. The greatest size is the size of a warriors heart.
Yet it took one moment to change the course of history. One decision to change the way this house goes down in legend. One flap of the wings to set off the Butterfly Effect.
. After watching the 'beast' become an uncontrollable creature; they opted against allowing him the opportunity to lay the fatal blow against the Patriots of Massachusetts. Instead, it became a self inflicted fatal blow that went down as the most egregious decision ever made in the battle for the chip. As their captain walked off the field taking off his helmet, many of the warriors showed their pain. Whether it was the laugh of a beast or the jaw drop of a 'boomer'; there was no doubt that the Seattle Seahawks changed history.
We head into 2019 and many men from that game are no longer apart of this team. Marshawn Lynch is fighting with mothers at camps. Richard Sherman has crossed enemy lines in San Francisco. Earl Thomas managed to flip the bird after breaking a wing and coming out the other side a darker creature; a Raven. The battle tested warrior Doug Baldwin played until his body could take no more, forced into retirement. Heck, Jermaine Kearse just broke his leg the other day as a member of the Lions.
And even though the residents of this house have changed, some things remained the same. The captain of the ship is still Russel Wilson. The Head Coach is still Pete Carroll. The '12' is still just as large in number. And this team is STILL a team of winners. In the 4 years since that heartbreaking Super Bowl loss, they have been to the playoffs 3 times. They have yet to finish with a losing record. As a matter of fact, they haven't had a losing record since 2011. They have had seven straight seasons of winning records; 6 resulting in playoff appearances. Shit, they even made the playoffs with a 7-9 record 10 seasons ago and saw 'Beast Mode' get birthed. Wow, 10 years. Time fucking flies.
Many, including myself, did not expect the Seahawks to make the playoffs last year. It just didn't look like a team that would be able to do it. They were led by the leagues best running game, a masterful QB who was always making the right plays at the right time and a defense playing with a huge chip on their shoulder. They got to the playoffs after starting the year off 0-2. They did it by winning 6 of their final 7 games, including a huge win against the Kansas City Chiefs in a must win Week 16 showdown. They got swept by the Rams in the season, but were in striking distance in both games losing by a combined score of 7 points! One TD total separated them from defeating the NFC Champs last season. They had no business going into the playoffs, but they got there. They went into the Wild Card game and lost a close one to the Dallas Cowboys, but for a new era of Seattle football, it was a great start.
They made Russell Wilson the highest paid QB in the league when he signed his contract. Big plus to start. Keep this dude around forever. Especially since the team looks so differently coming into this year. They lost Earl Thomas, Justin Coleman, Mike Davis, Doug Baldwin and Kam Chancellor for good now. They also traded Frank Clark. This team looks to be in rebuild mode, but with Wilson manning the front it's hard to imagine. With additions such as DK Metcalf and Ziggy Ansah, this team didn't add too much to get you excited. Of course, there is the potential that Metcalf is as phenomenal on the field as he is in the gym. There's potential that Tyler Lockett and David Moore take steps forward at the WR position. After leading the NFL in rushing yards, the Seahawks are hoping that a second year of Carson/Penny goes up a notch with both getting better. There is hope that this young defense can continue to keep their team in games.
There is always a calm feeling when it comes to a team who has made the playoffs 8 of the last 10 years. That's an 80% rate to bet against if you think this team will miss out. Let's take a look at their schedule and see where my projections land them.
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.

PREDICTION: 10-6 RECORD
After an easy victory to open the season against the lowly Bengals, the Seahawks struggle for the remainder of September losing their next 3 contests. After losing to Arizona in a shocker, many people begin to write off the Seahawks. The world becomes ready for the new up and comers of the NFC West. But just like this Seattle team does, they silence the critics and knock off the Rams the following week. A tough start to the season through 4 games, but last season wasn't the best of starts either.
The Seahawks have always been a great 2nd half team and I keep that trend going here. In their first 8 games, I have them going 4-4 including a tough 3 game losing streak. The second half of the season, I have them going 8-2 in their final 10 games which is an incredible feat. They once again sneak to a 10-6 record just like last season. Because 10 win seasons is kind of their thing. They have finished 3 of the last 4 seasons with exactly 10 wins. 6 of their last 7 seasons have been with 10 wins or more! An extraordinary record. Unfortunately, out of those 6 seasons, they only have a 1-1 Super Bowl record to show for it. But that 1 win can not be taken away! Amirite?
There's not much more I want to say about this team. The Seahawks always bore me and I would rather they miss out on the playoffs and not have a winning record. Yes, even though I have them at 10-6. Although I am not sure if 10-6 is going to be good enough to get this team in the playoffs in this strong NFC. I am going to see how this conference forms before I post who gets into the playoffs. The Rams will be the winners of the NFC West with a 12-4 record and I got the Seahawks in 2nd with 10-6 ending the season with a 4-2 division record. Sweeping of the 49ers and splitting with both the Rams and Cardinals.
I project this team to finish 2nd to the Ravens in rushing yards this season. Their ground and pound will keep games low scoring enough where Russell Wilson is always able to pull off some big wins. As long as he leads this team, they will always be a team favored to make the playoffs. If this team takes another step forward this year, there is a chance that Russell Wilson can right his wrong and walk into Miami and out of Miami giving the 'Home of the 12' their 2nd ever Super Bowl victory.
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP SEATTLE SEAHAWKS Chris Carson (4.03) Tyler Lockett (5.01) Rashaad Penny (6.06) Russell Wilson (8.04) D.K. Metcalf (10.01)
The first offensive player off the board for this team is Chris Carson. Barring any injuries, he could definitely be a great value especially if the Seahawks continue their dominance in the run game. However, you will be worrying about Rashaad Penny breathing down his neck throughout the season. There's been no secret in training camp that Carson is the 'head dog' and doing much better then Penny. If you punted on RBs on your first 3 picks and got some explosive WR's and a top 3 TE, Chris Carson being your RB1 is not the worst thing. You know he has a high floor, too. I'm not going to be happy with my team if Carson is my RB1, but it could definitely be worse.
Tyler Lockett is getting his chance to be the WR1 of the Seattle Seahawks. To me, it does not feel like it's going to work out. To be honest, I don't see one particular WR on this Seahawks team that's going to dominate possessions. I'm not going to be targetting Lockett to open up the 5th round if he falls to me there. Not too big on any of their WRs.
Rashaad Penny was highly talked about last year. If we're being truthful and honest with ourselves, Ronald Jones being AWFUL saved a lot of people from lumping Penny into that word. With Mike Davis out of the equation, people are expecting Penny to explode onto the scene now. It's an exciting pick in the middle of the 6th round and could pay off extremely well. An injury to Carson means that Penny is the lead back of an explosive running team. It's definitely an exciting gamble, but not all gambles pay off. There is that possibility that this season comes to an end and Penny still did nothing and is just never going to pass Carson on the depth chart.
Russell Wilson is going in the first third of the 8th round. More and more people are passing on QBs until later. Russell Wilson is always a big name in fantasy as he is a part of the 'cheat code' QBs who rush the ball. With the lack of weapons, many people have been passing on Wilson lately. He is now going as the 9th QB off the board. Clearly, people still believe he is a QB1 finisher, but people are taking QBs like Carson Wentz, Matt Ryan and Baker Mayfield before him. A disrespect to Russ or just the facts of life with the teams offense? You make that decision when you're up to draft.
D.K. Metcalf comes in as the most physically chiseled player in the NFL. People want him to be great, because his look is great. Questions remain if this guy can even run a route? Is this guy any good? So many teams passed on him during the draft that he fell to the Seahawks. Maybe those teams saw that this guy is not an NFL player. Or maybe D.K. proves them wrong and goes Donkey Kong on mofos this season. It's not a bad place to take this risk to open up the 10th round. If you get him at the 10.01 spot, you started your draft with the #1 overall pick. If you hit on Metcalf this late, you should be set for a nice playoff run. I do enjoy the mystique of this guy, but I will admit I am afraid to grab him when David Moore could realistically be the one who outshines both these WRs this year.
To be honest, I'm not too much of a fan of any of these guys being on my fantasy teams. This is not a fantasy team that I am typically happy to roster this upcoming season. However, I can't ignore them finishing at the top of the NFL in rushing yards and a top 3 finish in rushing is extremely realistic for them. So I'll play it safe with my favorite draft pick here.
MY FAVORITE FANTASY DRAFT PICK ON THIS TEAM: Chris Carson (4.03)

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO PREDICTABILITY
The milk man, the paper boy, the evening TV.
I want to so badly break into the whole Full House theme for the sake of San Francisco, but we're here for football talk!
But surely, some of the lyrics has to in someway describe the life of Jimmy G since he joined the franchise as their savior. "Everywhere he looks, everywhere he goes, there's a heart (a heart), a hand to hold onto." Because the moment he was traded to San Francisco, the whole city opened their hearts and arms to him. They welcomed his charm, his look and they wanted the TB12 protege that Bill Bellicheck fought to not trade. "Everywhere he looks, everywhere he goes, there's a face of somebody who needs him." Because San Francisco has been dying for a QB that can lead them over the hump. This guy in an afro got them to the Super Bowl, but couldn't win it. Jimmy G is supposed to be that guy.
Last season, he came out there and got the crowd going! He made some big plays and looked like the best pure QB they've had since Steve Young. They were ready to take back the NFC West and then he got injured. It was the second worst thing that's happened to that liberal city since Donald Trump became President.
After his injury, Nick Mullens came in and even won a big MNF game that got him a phone call from Bret Favre. Although the team showed heart and promise, it didn't add up to many wins for this franchise last year. Injuries played a big part. A big acquisition before the season started was RB Jerrick McKinnon. He was going to be the pass catching back that was going to light it up in this system and help stretch the field for this 49ers team. But he got injured on the final day of practice before the football season. That injury kept him out for the whole year and he's still going through injury woes as we start getting closer to this new season. A lot of money was put into him and none of it has paid off.
Injuries decimated this team last year. They did have one lone shiny spot throughout the season. It was the emergence and breakout of their Tight End George Kittle. The dude had a world class sophmore season in the NFL. Say what you want about the injuries to Marquise Goodwin and Pierre Garcon, but George Kittle looked like the real deal out there. He finished the season with 88 receptions, 1,377 yards and 5 TDs. An amazing season and put him in the top three with Travis Kelce and Zack Ertz. As he comes into his third season, many believe that he will continue on with that success even though the 49ers bought in more reinforcements on offense.
They brought in a Shanahan favorite in Tevin Coleman all while having Jerrick McKinnon and Matt Breida on the roster. After letting Pierre Garcon go, they drafted Deebo Samuel at WR and still have an emerging (but struggling right now) Dante Pettis. Marquise Goodwin, although injured right now, is still on that roster too. The 49ers are trying to build that offense to be fast and spread out. If health is on their side, they can possibly be that high flying team in the West.
A good thing about their season falling apart last year is that they were able to get the 2nd overall pick in the draft. With the circumstances of their division rival Cardinals having the 1st pick and wanting a QB, the best player in the draft was guaranteed to fall in their lap. The drama before the draft began when social media posts surfaced on the web showing that Nick Bosa was indeed a huge Donald Trump fan and a hardcore Republican. How would he survive in America's most liberal city in the world? Well, Richard Sherman made sure he had that conversation with him as soon as he got drafted there. Sherman made it clear that Bosa was a good kid and if he was as good on the football field, there would be no problems.
Because this uniform that Richard Sherman is wearing represents more to him then 'representing San Francisco'. This uniform covers a huge chip on his shoulder that resurfaced after the Seattle Seahawks franchise felt he wasn't good enough to stay. For Richard Sherman, his injury recovery process was so strenuous because he wanted to get back on the field to prove the doubters wrong. He wanted to show the world that he is still one of the best in the game. Most importantly, he was happy to join his former enemies in San Francisco so that 2 times a year he could face that Seattle team that did him wrong. He's here to be a champion.
This offseason has definitely gotten off to another horrible start for the franchise. A similar bug has been traveling through the air and that is the injury bug. Their #2 draft pick Nick Bosa is dealing with a high ankle sprain after an O-Linemen fell on his leg during practice. Jason Verrett is also dealing with a high ankle sprain. Marquise Goodwin is dealing with a 'lower body' injury again. Weston Richburg and K'Waun Williams are also hurting and might not be ready for the opener. As I started earlier, Jerrick McKinnon is still hurt and who knows when he is coming back. This is not looking too promising for this team and it's still early in the off-season. Top that with the fact that Dante Pettis is apparently struggling right now and this teams upcoming season is looking extremely fragile before it even begins.
Let's take a look at how this season will unfold for this team. Remember, along with the Jets, this team has the first BYE of the season in Week 4. That early BYE is surely not going to do many favors for a team that seems so fragile. Who knows? It can't get worse then last season.... right?
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.
BUCCANEERS BENGALS STEELERS BROWNS RAMS REDSKINS PANTHERS CARDINALS SEAHAWKS CARDINALS PACKERS RAVENS SAINTS FALCONS RAMS SEAHAWKS
PREDICTION: 5-11 RECORD
Another losing record, but a 1 game improvement over the previous season. It's definitely not what the franchise wanted, but after a decent start to the season, things start to fall apart on my projections. At one point, I have the 49ers projected to be 3-3. The problem is, I only have them winning 2 of their final 10 games.
I'm not going to lie. 6-10 feels high for how I honestly feel. I have them sneaking a win against Cleveland at the beginning of the season, which seems unlikely with the stuff I'm hearing from both camps. They'll get swept by Seattle and the Rams, but they'll be able to split the season series with the other rebuilding team in Arizona. I'm also giving them that 'revenge' victory over the Falcons late in the season which will definitely do some damage to the Falcons in their playoff hunt. However, the schedule just remains too hard for me to actually pick the 49ers at this point to win more then those 5 games.
I mean, the first thing I'd have to do is buy into this teams hype. I don't buy into it that much. The reason being this team seems cursed by injuries. I can not see Jimmy G staying healthy all season and I would be surprised if he is the QB for all 16 games. Something just feels like it's going to go wrong. Their running situation has definitely improved with the addition of Tevin Coleman, but even last year they had Breida braving through injuries to stay on the field. The water does not seem to make strong men in San Francisco and it's proven here with this football team. I also don't think Dante Pettis is that hyped after this season. I believe Deebo Samuel will have a good enough 2nd half that he goes into the next offseason as the hyped up guy. Can George Kittle improve from last year? Tough. I think he gets around the same numbers, but a slight dip in receptions. Maybe a 80/1070/7 season? Which would not be bad if he's getting into the end zone at that rate.
To be fair, I could be completely wrong. The injury bug disappears. Jimmy G is more then handsome, but an absolute stud on the football field too. He leads an explosive Shanahan run offense and they become the red hot team in the NFC West. Their defense is staunch, their offense is fire and this team heads to Miami where pduh does a live podcast of the 49ers celebrating their first Super Bowl win since Steve Young was throwing to Jerry Rice! Close enough to Hollywood to be able to write out that perfect ending.
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS George Kittle (3.10) Tevin Coleman (5.11) Dante Pettis (6.08) Jerrick McKinnon (10.12) Jimmy Garoppolo (12.09)
It makes sense that the only one who was healthy all of last season for the 49ers ranks at the top for this team. George Kittle has been hanging around the 3rd round in draft for months now. He was as high as early 3rd about a month ago and has now fallen towards the end of the 3rd round. The 'Big 3' of Kelce, Ertz & Kittle have been the main guys people have been willing to use a high draft pick on. Honestly, I'm not too sold on Kittle repeating his efforts from last season. It came too out of nowhere for my liking and his better connection was with Mullen anyways. I'm not really grabbing a TE this early in a draft. At the 3.10 spot, I might grab a Travis Kelce but I'm shying away from George Kittle. To be honest, I'd be happy to see someone waste a 3rd round pick on this guy because it just means I have one extra chance to nab a RB or WR that I like. It's a good choice however if you're doing a RB0 or WR0 approach and grab your starting TE 3rd round.
I love the opportunity for Tevin Coleman on this team. We're going to be honest and admit that he is not a workhorse back. He was unable to hold it down with Devonte Freeman out last year. But that's just not who he is meant to be in the NFL. He's supposed to be the lightning to another RBs thunder. When Freeman and him were running amok on the NFL, he was awesome. In PPR leagues, you love the possibilities of having him under Shanahan again. The question is, who is their bellcow? Doubt it's McKinnon. Maybe Breida? Who knows, but we all know what Tevin Coleman is and what he should be.
Dante Pettis is going in the end of the 6th round and he's been the most talked about breakout candidate all offseason. He had an awesome few weeks last season and it got everyone super excited for the thought of Jimmy G throwing passes to him this season. That all came to a crashing halt recently. All reports now are saying that Dante Pettis is struggling so far. Maybe it's the pressure and it's taking over his mind. Maybe he's trying to do too much now when last season he was just trying to prove that he can do it. I think the mental part of the game can overtake some athletes. I don't think this struggle can be a career cruncher, but I do think he's not this explosive breakout candidate that many expect him to be. I can see his ADP slowly start drifting into the mid to late 7th round in the next few weeks.
Jerrick McKinnon. Quick story. Last year, in my big money league, I had the 10th pick in a 12 team league. Check out how this went for me. I went Lenny Fournette 1st round, CMC 2nd round and in the 3rd round I saw this talked about PPR machine in a Shanahan system fall into my lap. His name was Jerrick McKinnon. Although I had a WR I planned on snatching on this pick, I couldn't pass up on grabbing a 3rd RB in a double FLEX league. I was about to fill up my first FLEX spot with this PPR machine and I said FUCK IT! I'll grab a WR later. I touched on McKinnon's name and I clicked "DRAFT". Bam, I was pumped up. I knew I had the rumbling Fournette, a PPR machine CMC and another PPR machine in McKinnon. This team was 3 picks in and I already felt I won the draft. Literally the next pick after me went the WR I wanted. We talked about it all season. Why? Well, that story is funny. LITERALLY, the day after my draft, Jerrick McKinnon tears his ACL and is out for the season. DONE. One change of my mind. One moment where someone fell into my lap that I did not expect. Do you know who I picked Jerrick McKinnon over? Do you know the name of the WR I passed on for Jerrick fucking McKinnon? JUJU SMITH SCHUSTER! So to Jerrick McKinnon, I say; FUCK OUTTA HERE!
PS- Brieda is going in the 12th round and I love that value way more then Jerrick McKinnon who basically does the same things Tevin Coleman does anyways.
Jimmy G is going late in the 12th round. For the few games he played last season, this dude was looking awesome! This dude had top 5 finishing potential. Then the injury happened so early that the hype surrounding him has completely fizzled away. It fizzled so much that even with the new additions this offense has accrued, he is still falling this far into the draft. Honestly, even though my projections see this as a 5 win team and doesn't see him playing out the whole year; I would never be mad at this gamble. This gamble could pay off huge just like Patrick Mahomes paid off last year. If you want him as your QB1, that's risky. If you grab him as your QB2 to give it a safe test drive; that's perfect. All my projections aside, this draft price is just too damn good to pass up.

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
ARIZONA CARDINALS
BUY ME SOME PEANUTS AND CRACKER JACKS
Heisman Trophy winner. Check. Drafted by the MLB. Check. #1 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Check. 5'10 QB....? Check.
He's here!
I'm completely on board this hype train! Will his college success transition over to the NFL? Will his height keep him from succeeding in the NFL? Will this be a Home Run draft pick or will Arizona swing and miss with this pick? The answer remains to be seen, but from his one preseason game, he looks set to live up to his hype.
The real questions surrounding his success will be if this team can evolve around him. Last year was an awful season for the Cardinals. They were the worst offense in the NFL and went on to have the worst record in the NFL. They come in to this season with a rookie HC in Kliff Kingsbury. Yet another branch off the Sean McVay coaching tree.... except they're friends instead. I don't know. He hung out with McVay once and that's all that was needed to forget that he had a losing record as a Head Coach in college. That's the negative take on him. The positive take that the Arizona organization is banking on is this guy revolutionizing the way offense is played ala McVay. Everyone is calling for this offense to be explosive. Yet throughout the offseason, the way this offense will be run has remained this mystery. Which side of Kingsbury will the NFL see this season? The young, learning, mistake prone, losing HC of college football? Or will it be the new shiny toy who has the Cardinals become one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL? We'll know soon enough.
The team will surely be heading into this new season with some issues that need to be addressed. Their defense improving is a must. It's definitely not a great start with Patrick Peterson being suspended for the first 6 games. They were ranked 20th in the NFL last season and are going to really hope to get into the teens this year. They made some acquisitions to try and change it up. Terrell Suggs is a legend on defense, but Arizona could just be the retirement home for the graduate of Ball So Hard University. They also brought in Trumaine Johnson, Robert Alford and Jordan Hicks. Most importantly, they brought Vance Joseph in as a DC and they're hoping he can change things up. However, history shows that he really hasn't been that great at it. Cincinnati was a good D, but when he went over to Miami to lead their D, he was average at best. His HC stint was a failure, too. Is he the answer? I don't see it.
That means Arizona is going to need to win some shoot outs. Which means Kyler Murray HAS to work out. David Johnson has disappeared from peoples minds since his injury, especially with his disappointing season last year. However, people are back to banking on him with hopes that this offense is as high octane as advertised. Surely, with a bad defense, they will be feeding mouths on offense. Their pace of play will definitely improve.
The biggest issue with this offense is not the weapons. They have plenty of those. David Johnson, the rising Christian Kirk, Larry "Legend" Fitzgerald, Andy Isabella. This team has targets who can make big plays. The real issue with this team will once again be that Offensive Line. Many are expecting Kyler Murray's ability as a duel threat QB to be showcased as he will be running for his life a lot. Luckily, Murray is an excellent scrambler and can break loose for yards with ease. However, a poor O-Line is only going to jeopardize the health of Murray. It can't get worse then what Josh Rosen experienced though.... right? There's a real chance that Murray regrets choosing the NFL over the MLB especially when that O-Line gets wrecked. When you have Aaron Donald staring at you 2 times a season, you know things are going to get dangerous. What if Nick Bosa gets through and crushes Murray, showing everyone that he was the correct #1 pick all along. It's going to be tough sledding with that O-Line.
The whole season will depend on if this 'Air Raid' offense is going to work. If they can shock the NFL, they can pull off some big wins here and there and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Let's take a look at their schedule to see how I have it unfolding. Will they be the team to go from worst to first? Let's find out.
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.
LIONS RAVENS PANTHERS SEAHAWKS BENGALS FALCONS GIANTS SAINTS 49ERS BUCCANEERS 49ERS RAMS STEELERS BROWNS SEAHAWKS RAMS
PREDICTION 5-11 RECORD
Although I am excited for this team, I just don't think they can improve too much from last season. A 5-11 record feels about right, although heading into my projections, I was thinking 6. The upset of the Browns at the end of the season will be the Browns sleeping on their weak opponent. The Baker/Murray showdown will be super exciting also. They can obviously beat the Bengals, but the Bengals need to win some games.
I also expect an exciting start for this team by winning the first game of the season against the Lions. It will be a promising victory where the Cardinals will be the talk of town. However, they will then have 3 straight showdowns against powerful defenses. Baltimore, Carolina and Seattle. The fact that I have Arizona winning that first match up with Seattle is me just buying into the Murray hype. There's a real chance they get swept by the Seahawks this season, but I think that showdown at home will be exciting enough where something wild happens.
A 5-11 record is disappointing, but they are coming into an extremely tough division with a rookie HC and a rookie QB. The team will definitely improve on offense, but the showdowns against tough defenses are not going to make it easy for this Air Raid offense. I have them being swept by the Rams and then splitting the season series with both the 49ers and Seahawk. A 2-4 record against their division will definitely be a feel good moment for this team going into the off season, but there's a real chance that they go 0-6, too.
Then there's also that chance that this Air Raid offense is the real deal. They take the league by storm. David Johnson becomes the best RB in the NFL, again. Larry Fitzgerald goes for 100/1000 again. The defenses improvement is one of the most surprising things about the NFL season. History could be made where a rookie HC and rookie QB make it all the way to the Super Bowl (sorry Rex and Sanchez!). There's a chance that the Arizona Cardinals go from the absolute worst to absolute first and walk out of Miami the Super Bowl champions!
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP ARIZONA CARDINALS David Johnson (1.04) Christian Kirk (6.10) Larry Fitzgerald (7.11) Kyler Murray (8.04)
Less then 24 hours after this post; DJ moved to the #4 pick. David Johnson leads the pack in the ADP department for the Arizona Cardinals. I stated this earlier, but people were tormented if they drafted David Johnson the last 2 seasons. There was the injury that ruined a top 3 pick 2 seasons ago. Last season, people bought in to David Johnson again with the mindset that the injury was a 'freak injury' and would not affect how a RB plays. Then came the horrible play calling, O-Line and HC. It wasn't the worst season ever, but for his ADP, it felt like a bust. He ruined your team in the first half of the season. Now for the 3rd straight year, people are BACK on the David Johnson bandwagon! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me! Fool me a third time; well; ask George W. Am I a fool for really wanting David Johnson if he falls to me in the 5th spot? Am I insane for repeating the same mistake that's plagued his fantasy owners the last 2 seasons? Well, baseball analogy leads me to this; I'm in on David Johnson (his age, his history pre-injury and new offensive system) BUT 3 strikes and you're out! Don't let us down again David Johnson! Go chase that 1,000/1,000 you once spoke about being your goal! Go get it done!
Christian Kirk is going in the back end of the 6th round and many people are buying into him. He had a pretty good season last year, where he was really showing his arsenal. In a new wide-out set that could see 4-5 WRs on the field at one time, many are banking on Christian Kirk to be the guy to make those explosive plays. I'm cool with him being on my roster, but there is that fear that any game could change who gets the lions share of the targets. It could be a Kirk game one week, an Isabella week the next and a Butler week the following. Inconsistency could be a main problem with Christian Kirk and in the 6th round, that is very risky. It's all about believing in this team and what they are capable of doing in this upcoming season.
One thing that I do not see changing is Larry Fitzgerals target share. Yes, he's older, but he's still the 'Legend'. He's not a diva and you won't see him yelling at Murray for the ball. Because respect is not begged for, it is earned. I expect Larry to have over 80 receptions this season and I can see him realistically eclipsing 1,000 yards again. It all comes down to this mysterious offense. If it's legit or not. If it's legit; Larry Fitzgerald in the end of the 7th round is a big time steal. Especially if you're able to get your WR2 this late into the draft.
Kyler Murray is my 'must have' in this whole draft. I know that there are some pundits that say taking a QB in the 8th round is 'too early', but I don't think so. Heck, I'm not even taking the chance of waiting until the 8th round with him. I'm grabbing him 7th round. The beauty is that you want him on your roster as a lottery ticket. Think about it. The first four games are rough. Tough defenses and his first taste of the NFL. If he pans out and this offense pans out, you might have a league winner on your roster ala Mahomes of last season. I'm not saying I'm taking Murray and only Murray as my QB in the draft. I will surely be taking a second QB later in the draft, with an easier first month schedule. However, I am not going to have another zero-Mahomes-shares year this season with Kyler Murray. I want him succeeding or failing on my roster.
MY FAVORITE FANTASY DRAFT PICK ON THIS TEAM: Kyler Murray (8.04)

2019 PREDICTION
LOS ANGELES RAMS- 12-4 SEATTLE SEAHAWKS- 10-6 ARIZONA CARDINALS- 5-11 SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS- 5-11
The Rams remain at the top of the AFC West as they head into this season with the same force, same goal, but a different strategy. The Seahawks continue having winning records, but are unable to take back their throne. The Cardinals and 49ers go from having the first 2 picks in the draft to identical 5-11 records with optimistic futures.

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
NEW ORLEANS SAINTSREVENGE, REDEMPTION, REWARDI apologize beforehand, but this post is going to have a few more pictures (gifs) then usual. There's reason for this. Because sometimes words can't tell the whole story. A story of 'bad luck' and unfortunate incidents in the land of voodoo is better off visualized then read. Before we even get to this off season, let's take a look at the last two post season finishes for the New Orleans Saints and how they ended.
2017: MINNEAPOLIS MIRACLE
In a contender for wildest finish to a playoff game ever, Case Keenum connects with Stefon Diggs on a play that will go down in history as the 'Minnesapolis Miracle'. Were the Saints Super Bowl favorites heading into the playoffs? Yes. Was it bad defense? Yes. Was it bad luck? Yes. Was it the end to the Saints season? Yes. Were they heading into the following season with revenge and redemption on their mind? Yes.
2018: THE WHISTLE THAT WASN'T
In a contender for biggest missed call in the history of the NFL, we see the Saints get screwed out of a trip to the Super Bowl. A play that led to lawsuits from the people of New Orleans, a play that led the NFL to change the rules heading into this season, a play that cost the world a Tom Brady vs Drew Brees Super Bowl Dream match. It is a play that will go down in history like the 'Tuck Rule' game. Were the Saints Super Bowl favorites heading into the playoffs? Yes. Was it bad officiating? Yes. Was it bad luck? Yes. Was it the end to the Saints season? Yes. Are the Saints heading into the 2019 season with revenge and redemption on their mind? YES!
Revenge. Redemption. REWARD.
The Saints are coming off of back to back heartbreaking defeats that has to make the people of New Orleans believe that the 'voodoo is on them'. Vegas has the Saints as the 4th favorite to win the Super Bowl coming into this season. Only behind the Patriots, Chiefs and Rams. The NFL world still believes in this team. The Saints still believe in themselves, even though they head into this season with a different look.
No longer is the backfield of this team a Kamara and Ingram Lightning & Thunder look. Mark Ingram was not getting the money he deserved in New Orleans and moved on to Baltimore where he will own his own backfield. The Saints made a move and brought in Latavius Murray before Mark Ingram was even packed to leave. A disrespectful move, in my opinion. The Saints believe Latavius Murray is a younger and more agile runner then Mark Ingram was/is. They were not done improving their offense as they brought in TE Jared Cook from Oakland who is coming off of a career year. They lost Max Unger to a surprising retirement, but went ahead and drafted his replacement with their first pick of the draft (2nd round) Eric McCoy of Texas A&M. Just in case there were rookie struggles, they also picked up FA Nick Easton who last played for those pesky Vikings.
In the biggest move of the off-season for the team, the Saints gave superstar Michael Thomas what he wanted. They got him paid.
Michael Thomas was given a 5 year, 100 MILLION dollar contract with 61 MILLION GUARANTEED!
That basically means Michael Thomas is here to stay through his prime and rightfully so. After a career year of 125 receptions, 1,405 yards and 9 TDs; the man deserves it. His surroundings are not that guaranteed. Ted Ginn is still that explosive speedster, but injuries have continue to mess up his season. Tre'Quan Smith is still young, but did have some promising games that were filled with disappearing acts too. Even with the addition of Jared Cook, Michael Thomas is still a guarantee for 100+ receptions, 1200+ yards. He's improved every year since he got into the NFL so a 130/1500/10 season is not impossible.
The team lives and dies with Drew Brees, though. Many are saying that age should be catching him by now. He had a hot start last season, but as the season went on, he wasn't as risky with his throws. His arm power is obviously not the same, but when you have guys like Kamara and Thomas on your roster, you don't have to go too deep with your passes. The Saints made sure to re-sign Teddy Bridgewater though as an insurance policy and possibly QB of the future. There hasn't been much talk about Drew Brees retiring, but I feel like a guy like him would retire a champ. So if Drew Brees and the Saints can break through the heartbreak this season and win it all, this could very well by his final season in the NFL. He's the type to go out a champion.
So the team looks good. They're coming in hungrier then ever. They want revenge. They need redemption. They're here for their reward. Let's take a look at my projections for their season and see if the Saints can back to the playoffs and give themselves another chance at that championship.
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.
TEXANS RAMS SEAHAWKS COWBOYS BUCCANEERS JAGUARS BEARS CARDINALS FALCONS BUCCANEERS PANTHERS FALCONS 49ERS COLTS TITANS PANTHERS
PREDICTION: 13-3 RECORD
This will be an angry team in New Orleans. The beginning of their schedule is actually very rough. First they get a tough Houston game to close out Week 1 for the NFL on MNF. That's followed by their revenge game against the Rams which should realistically be a primetime game, but whatever. Seattle and then a SNF showdown with the Cowboys all before they face a division rival in Tampa. I have them going 5-0 before sleeping on the Jaguars and being upset in Jacksonville. I know it sounds crazy to project that, but I just have a feeling. It sort of makes sense. Five tough games in a row and their mind set on Week 7 in Chicago no less. It's the perfect opponent to sleep on and pay for.
The wins I'm giving the Saints are all extremely impressive. I do wish that Rams game was in New Orleans and on prime time just to hear that crowd eat the Rams alive, but it's not. It's a road game and the Saints going into Los Angeles and winning is going to be super impressive. Then winning in Chicago is going to be a huge deal, too. Them sweeping the NFC West is no small task, so that added on top of those big wins makes this regular season that much more impressive. Also, them beating the Colts (SB SPOILER~!) is going to be a huge check mark to their legitimacy also.
I have them going 4-2 against their division, which includes them sweeping the Buccaneers. I have them splitting games with the Falcons and the Panthers. The Falcons win will be much more impressive, because it'll be the Falcons winning at home against a 10-1 Saints team after falling just short in the first game. Those NO/ATL games are going to be awesome this year, by the way. I see NO winning the first one 41-38 and ATL winning the 2nd one 45-38. High scoring showdowns between, in my opinion, the two best teams in the division. That Week 17 loss against Carolina will be the Saints resting their starters and will be a Teddy Bridgewater, Latavius Murray and backups game. The Saints will already have sealed the first round BYE and they are not going to risk any bad luck right before they try for it again.
There is that alternate reality where the Saints just aren't that good. The division is tougher, more high flying and the Saints (Brees) can't keep up. ATL could be back to Super Bowl mode, TB could be drastically improved and Cam Newton could be back to form with an improved Panthers team. Those tough games against the Rams, Seahawks, Bears and Colts could also all be losses. If you split the division 3-3 and lose all 4 of those tough match ups, you're looking at a 9-7 Saints team at best. That is always a possibility, because this schedule is extremely tough.
However, revenge can make a man live a long life. This team has come so close so long. Two heartbreaks in a row could drive someone mad. The Saints are going to come out super hungry and will look even better then a 13-3 record, if that is even possible. Alvin Kamara can easily be the best RB in the NFL this season. Michael Thomas could easily be the best WR in the NFL this season. This defense could be even better then last year and just shut down their opponents and be a top 5 D in the NFL this season. The third time could be a charm for the Saints. I'm giving the Saints the #1 seed in the NFC heading into the playoffs this year. Home field advantage throughout.
@theshow could be heading to Miami to watch Drew Brees and Co. kill those demons of the past. The possibilities are limitless with this team. The best possibility? The Saints come marching in to Miami and walk out the Super Bowl champions!
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP NEW ORLEANS SAINTS Alvin Kamara (1.03) Michael Thomas (1.09) Jared Cook (6.12) Latavius Murray (7.05) Drew Brees (7.11)
Alvin Kamara is the top fantasy dawg in Nawlins. He is going 3rd overall in the draft and rightfully so. With the Zeke holdout, Kamara has moved up a spot. The problem with that is that if Zeke comes back, Zeke goes flying up in ADP again and Kamara falls to 4th. EXCEPT, that's not bad news at all! Because if you can land Alvin Kamara with the 4th pick, you are in great spot! Before the holdout, there was a BIG 4 in the draft. Saquon, CMC, Kamara and Zeke. If you land any of these guys, you are in great shape. I'll go one further, though. I love Barkley and adore CMC, but who do I think is going to finish #1 overall in fantasy football this season? That's right. Alvin "Super" Kamara. He is going to have a career year this year and the addition of Latavius Murray does nothing to sway me from that mindset. I think Alvin Kamara is the best player in fantasy football this season and I am all for grabbing him with the top pick in the draft ESPECIALLY in a PPR league. A no doubter, in my opinion. An aging QB, a weaker backup, same mindset on offense; this is Kamaras year. Bank on it!
Michael Thomas is going in the end of the 1st round with the 9th pick. Only Hopkins and Adams are being picked ahead of him in drafts and if money could talk, it would tell you to draft Michael Thomas. When you have a late first round pick, the smartest strategy is to take best available WR over a RB like Conner, Chubb or Gurley who are going after Thomas. It just makes sense. I love the idea of going WR/WR too if you're at the 9/16 spot. You're able to start your team with superstars in Michael Thomas/Juju. Me, personally, I'm taking Thomas/Dalvin if I'm in that drafting position but to be real honest, I'm taking Julio Jones ahead of Michael Thomas. Because, like I said, money talks and Julio is going to get paid any minute now. Still, having Michael Thomas as your WR1/first round pick is definitely not something to be down about. He's only going to get better.
Waiting for a TE is the thing to do if you miss out on the 'Big 3'. The end of the 6th round has Jared Cook, basically in a tier of his own. Tier 1 of TEs is Kelce/Ertz/Kittle. Tier 2 is Howard/Engram/Hunter. Tier 3 is really Jared Cook and Vance McDonald who is going almost a round after. If you're in the position to take your first TE on the 6.12/7.1 flip, it's not a bad thing. You've already secured your superstar with the #1 overall pick in the draft and you're now getting your starting TE on a high octane offense this deep in the draft. I like it. Now, me personally, I'm hesitant to do it if I got Kamara with the #1 overall pick, but it's not bad stacking Kamara/Cook RB/TE tandem of an offense like the Saints. I don't hate the pick. I just worry that Jared Cook's success last season was him being the only surviving offensive player on the Raiders.
Latavius Murray is next in the middle of the 7th round. If you truly believe he will have the same success as Mark Ingram on this Saints team, then you will be happy taking him in the 7th round. Me personally haven't seen it so I can't believe it. First off, Latavius' face annoys the shit out of me. So having to see his screenshot every day on my fantasy team would annoy me. The other thing is, I just don't like him. A 7th round pick isn't the worst thing to use on Murray, but ugh. He's going slightly ahead of Rashaad Penny, Darrell Henderson and Derius Guice; guys I feel have more potential. However, an injury to Super Kamario would make Latavius Murray a must have. It's all a matter if you believe. I don't know if there is such a thing as a bad pick in New Orleans, but Murray is a guy I'm probably avoiding 95 out of 100 times.
Okay, maybe there is such a thing as a bad pick. I'm sorry to say this, I have nothing but respect for this man, but Drew Brees is not a guy I want to roster in fantasy football in 2019. Especially in the end of the 7th round. That is just way too early for me to take an aging Drew Brees. Yes, he is a fantasy football legend, but things have changed. He is no longer needed to do the things he used to do which was completely own the offense. He has a better defense helping him out and an explosive Kamara at RB. Yes, he will put up numbers, but they will not be worth the draft price. I would much rather take Carson Wentz and Kyler Murray who are going slightly after him in drafts. I respect the legend of fantasy in Brees, heck he was my starting QB in 2 of my money leagues last season, but in the 2019 season, I have to pass.
MY FAVORITE FANTASY DRAFT PICK ON THIS TEAM: Alvin Kamara (1.03)

The Chargers are the most cursed team in the NFL. Derwin James is now expected to miss significant time. Ugh. One of the more fun rookies to watch last year and a leader of that defense.

I'm not so sure Thomas is worth that contract. He isn't better than Hopkins, he isn't better than Julio. Hell I'm not sure I would take him over Beckham. If Brown wasn't such a headcase right now I wouldn't take Thomas over him either.

Avery Williamson going down for the year blows especially since we traded the head case Darron Lee. Really hoping one of the ILBer step up, maybe 5th rounder Blake Cashman can step up and contribute. Williamson should have never been in so late in the game with the 2nd string guys to be honest, not sure what Triple G was thinking there.

Ugly injuries for both franchises. The Chargers are really screwed though. Huge hit there. KC is going to run away with that division now. All my predictions mean shit right now. No MG, no Derwin; this team might not make the playoffs period.
As for the Jets; yeah tough loss. It's just a shitty situation they're in. I don't know if either one of these 2 guys are out for the season, though.
And I would take Michael Thomas over OBJ, though. OBJ has been injured for what, 2-3 seasons in a row and now has hip pain? I'm not too fond of OBJ at the moment. I like Julio over MT, but Julio being allergic from the end zone scares me a tad bit.

In another blow to Blindy , and the Jets; Josh Gordon has been reinstated by the NFL. But then the question will be "How long until he gets caught again?" I don't think he gets 'caught', again. I think it's mental health at this point for him. As much as everyone is cheering for this guy, I fear for him when he is retired and doesn't have football anymore. I hope he gets through what he's going through. TB12 is going to keep him on the right track though.

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
ATLANTA FALCONS RISE UP!
You can't start a conversation about the Falcons without saying, "28-3". So there, I said it.
Since that choke job, the Atlanta Falcons have went 17-15 in 2 seasons. There 1 playoff appearance 2 seasons ago ended in heartbreak with this play:
The Eagles ended up going all the way to winning the Super Bowl that year. The Falcons would go into the following season with back to back heartbreaking losses to end their seasons. Last season would be a completely different animal. In Week 1, they would lose their starting RB Devonte Freeman for the whole year to injury. Their defense was completely depleted by injuries throughout the whole season. The offense would be forced into high scoring game after high scoring game, but they would only finish the year with a 7-9 record.
WHICH IS AMAZING!
They still managed to win 7 games with a depleted defense and while missing their star RB. One of their exciting things to look at was their rookie WR Calvin Ridley living up to his draft price and putting together a solid rookie season that had him end the year with 10 TDs. The rushing sucked as Ito Smith was really unable to steal the job and keep it ala Michael Turner back in the day. Matt Ryan went on to have another great year as did Julio Jones. So the fact that they were able to still win 7 games and be in a tough division means a whole lot to me. Especially considering they lost 4 of their final games after being 6-5. They had a rough 5 game losing streak in the season too, but were still in striking distance before they ran out of gas. But these Falcons ran that broken down car as hard as they could and respectfully so.
It means that if health is there for the Falcons, this team is no doubt going back to the playoffs. Another double digit season has to be on the horizon. Freeman is back and health. Julio should be getting paid any day now. Matt Ryan still has his arm. Calvin Ridley is another year into the NFL and if he continues to impress, this WR core could be lethal. Sanu is still a valuable WR3 for this team and Austin Hooper (although inconsistent) is continuing to improve.
Although the defense was depleted last year, Desmond Trufant managed to finally live up to the money and have a great season. As per Profootballfocus, Trufant was ranked the top CB in the NFC South ahead of Marshon Lattimore. The Falcons are banking on him to continue progressing as a top CB in the NFL.
The biggest offseason move was completely cleaning up the coaching staff. The return of Dirk Koeter is HUGE news for the already high flying Atlanta Falcons offense. The signing has led to the Falcons focusing most of their FA work on grabbing offensive pieces. They are trying to put together a better O-Line and have signed Stocker and Barner as respectable backups to their TE and RB situations. Just like the Houston Rockets of the NBA, the Atlanta Falcons approach to this season seems to be; "Score so much that we can't be beat."
Let's take a look at their schedule and see where my projections put the Atlanta Falcons at on their quest to get back to the Super Bowl.
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.
VIKINGS EAGLES COLTS TITANS TEXANS CARDINALS RAMS SEAHAWKS SAINTS PANTHERS BUCCANEERS SAINTS PANTHERS 49ERS JAGUARS BUCCANEERS
PREDICTION: 9-7 RECORD
Well, talk about an inconsistent team coming into this year. Contrary to last season where they lost 4 of their final 5 games and collapsed; this season I have them winning 5 of their final 6 games.
With the division, I have them sweeping the Buccaneers and splitting with both the Panthers and Falcons. A pair of 3 game losing streaks throughout the season has the Falcons fighting for their life towards the end of the year. The losses to the Titans and 49ers should not happen for this team, but they find a way to lose. The Titans D gets a crucial stop to win the game and the Falcons make many mistakes in their loss to San Francisco.
I have them winning 5 of their final 6 games to end the season, but a loss to a bad 49ers team puts the Falcons in a really bad situation in the playoff picture. Like I said when I spoke about the Seahawks (who I have beating ATL), I am not sure how the Wildcard teams will end up. Right now, that Seattle/Atlanta match up in the first half of the season has the Seahawks ending with 1 more win then the Falcons. That game comes down to Russel Wilson just being more clutch then Matt Ryan.
To be honest, a 9-7 record is probably not going to be enough to get into the playoffs in a stacked NFC. I could be completely wrong on my projections and this Falcons team could be absolutely fire this season. They could go back to being that unstoppable force that they were in their Super Bowl season. There is no stopping Matt Ryan as health stays on his side. Devonte Freeman goes back to being a dual threat RB. Julio, Ridley, Sanu, Hooper and Hardy are all fun weapons that continue to put up the yards and the points. The Atlanta Falcons could very well take back the NFC South and make it all the way to Miami where they right their wrong and walk out the Super Bowl Champions.... killing those 28-3 demons that could haunt this franchise for eternity.
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP ATLANTA FALCONS Julio Jones (1.09) Devonta Freeman (3.04) Calvin Ridley (5.05) Matt Ryan (7.01) Austin Hooper (10.04)
Julio Jones rightfully leads the way for this offense in the fantasy world. He is going in the end of the 1st round as the 3rd WR off the board. On the football field, this guy is a monster. On the fantasy world, he is great enough where he is valuable but is missing one thing that stops him from being a fantasy football legend and monster. His inability to be a TD machine in the NFL costs Julio Jones the right to be the best WR in fantasy football. I mean, Deandre Hopkins is a machine. He catches, he gets yards and he scores. Davante Adams is a TD machine, as well, who can also put up the yards. Julio Jones gets it all except for the most valuable thing in fantasy football; Touchdowns. I mean, look at this:
2015: Julio Jones has 1,871 yards (2nd most ever) and only 8 TDs.
2017: Julio Jones becomes first player ever to have 1,300 receiving yards with only 4 TDs.
2018: Julio Jones has 812 receiving yards and ZERO TDs in the first 7 games of the regular season.
I mean; holy shit. I haven't focused this much on a fantasy player yet, but this has to be talked about. Julio could be the best fantasy WR of all time, but the TDs have stopped that. You could always hope that he continues off of his hot finish from last season in which he scored 8 TDs in his final 9 games. With Dirk Koetter, he had a career high 10 TDs in 2012 and with Dirk returning; Julio is my pick to be the WR1 at the end of the season. If I am put in a position to take Nuk, Adams or Julio; I am taking Julio Jones 100% of the time. Sign me up on the Dirk return hype train.
Devonte Freeman is a frightening pick in the 3rd round, but a pick I am willing to make. If I have a top 3 pick in the draft, I have already grabbed one of Barkley/CMC/Kamara. I can now grab a WR1 to start the 2nd round and then have Freeman as my RB2. Hell, I could go 3 straight RBs and have a 3 headed monster only Blindy would know about. I really love Freeman going in the 3rd round and am probably risking it most of the time and taking him. I try and be as safe as possible during drafts to avoid the season headaches and if you have that mentality, don't draft this guy. He's coming off of missing a whole season, so there could be rust and his body could just give out on him for good. A very risky pick, but if you're a gambler, go for it.
Calvin Ridley was the most explosive, inconsistent WR of the year last year. This dude scored a total of 6 TDs in 3 straight games and then went on to score only 1 total TD in the next 6 games. 2 in the next 10. 4 in the final 12. That 3 game streak (Weeks 2-4) put Calvin Ridley on a pedestal that has everyone drooling for an encore with more progression. BUT Calvin Ridley is probably the 2nd most likely (behind Eric Ebron) to have regression this year. I could be totally wrong and Ridley could just be a monster in the making, but in the 5th round I am not sure if he could live up to his ADP. He is going ahead of Jarvis Landry, Tyler Boyd, Mike Williams and DJ Moore. If you're in need of a WR and haven't grabbed one at this point; I'd probably put him in the 4 range behind everyone but Moore. Draft at your own risk, but if Freeman is healthy, I don't see Ridley eating as much.
Matt Ryan is opening up the 7th round as the top pick. If you grab him at the 7.01 spot, you've started the draft with the top pick. That means you built around either Barkley/CMC/Kamara and grabbed 5 extra weapons before you took your QB. Some say 7th round is too early to take your QB, but I don't think so. The Atlanta Falcons have 13 dome games this season and that's going to be great for a gun slinging team. Matt Ryan is sandwiched between Baker Mayfield and Carson Wentz. I like all 3 of those QBs, so pick whoever falls to you if you haven't taken a QB yet. Round 7 is totally fine if you grab one of those guys.
Austin Hooper is another inconsistent TE in the NFL. He'll get you that 20+ point game, but then fall off the face of the earth for a few games. I really avoid TEs that are already surrounded by weapons at WR and RB. Especially the Falcons who may very well be the most fun fantasy team in the NFL to grab a piece of. This is the one piece I am not even thinking about grabbing, though. I would literally draft all the other 4 guys and not him. Pass on Hooper.
MY FAVORITE FANTASY DRAFT PICK ON THIS TEAM: Julio Jones (1.09)

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
CAROLINA PANTHERSKEEP POUNDING!
The Carolina Panthers started 2018 with a 6-2 record and were heavy playoff favorites after that hot first half. But then the second half of the season happened and things fell apart. They would go on to lose SEVEN straight games, before winning the final game of the season. They followed that hot 6-2 start with an awful 1-7 finish. The most obvious reason being that Cam Newton was playing with an injured shoulder and wasn't able to be the 'Superman' that the Carolina fans loved and once brought them to the Super Bowl.
Fortunately for them, they had a big shiny toy who went on to put up record setting numbers. I can not wait to get into this and I will.
But first, eat your hearts out gentlemen....
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3
That's right. CMC. Norv Turners new toy. Olivia Culpos future ex. My favorite player in the NFL. Let's take a look at his insane stats from last season....
Christian McCaffrey 2018: 1,098 rushing yards, 5.0 RYAVG, 7 rushing TDs 107 receptions, 867 yards, 6 receiving TDs ONE passing TD
Ladies and gentlemen, Christian McCaffrey!
The 2019 season could be promising. Cam Newton is apparently healed. I guess we'll see if he's really Superman. In case he's not, they drafted Will Grier in the 3rd round (pick 100) that would have to fill in. I don't buy that he's fully healthy. I think he's falling apart and his decline will continue this season which is a shame.
They have high hopes for Curtis Samuel and DJ Moore taking a step in the right direction going into this season. All you read about from camp is how amazing Curtis Samuel looks right now. Greg Olsen is back for another ride on the football field after a season of getting 'kicked' in the butt with injuries. See what I did there? Kick? Foot? Okay. The offense to me looks just like it did last season. The addition of Chris Hogan is not really making me believe that the weapons are better.
Olsen is old. Samuel and Moore have to prove themselves again with a consistent season. Chris Hogan was overhyped last season and flopped with the Patriots. So that leaves CMC having to carry this offense, again. So here's something;
I GUARANTEE CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY GOES 1,000/1,000 THIS SEASON!
Yup! That's right. He will be the one to join Marshall Faulk in that illustrious thousand and thousand club. He's got the tools. He's had them since Stanford. He is the real fucking deal if you haven't noticed. He has the arms to carry that load!
Am I right?
Anyways, the Panthers defense might be a bit more improved with the addition of the pissed off Gerald McCoy. A man who is furious that the Buccaneers moved onto a new man AND gave that new man his jersey number! It has started a war where Warren Sapp got involved and said that Gerald McCoy does not deserve to have his number retired because he was a LOSER with the Buccaneers. Harsh words. Especially for someone who will get the opportunity to crush the Buccaneers two times this season.
Let's take a look at this season and see where I have them projected to finish. I don't think my hopes are too high for the team as a whole, but let's see how it ends up for them.
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.
RAMS BUCCANEERS CARDINALS TEXANS JAGUARS BUCCANEERS 49ERS TITANS PACKERS FALCONS SAINTS REDSKINS FALCONS SEAHAWKS COLTS SAINTS
PREDICTION: 8-8 RECORD
Surprisingly, it's not as bad of a record as I thought it would be. Finishing 8-8 is a one win improvement from last year. Still not enough to get this team in the playoffs. I have a bold prediction, as well. I don't think Cam Newton finishes up the season. I don't want to emphasize it, because I don't want to wish injury on anyone but I am not sold that he is healthy. Will Grier is going to start Week 16 and Week 17 and they will both be wins which will raise questions on who the starter should be next season. Just my bold, unsure prediction.
As I said earlier, CMC is going to break that 1,000/1,000 record and that will be the only reason he plays that meaningless game in Week 17. It will be glorious and I will be cheering like the fan girl that I am. DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel will improve, their D will be decent enough to keep them competitive. I just don't think Cam Newton can lead this team in this tough division to a playoff appearance.
Within their division, the Panthers will split with all 3 of their opponents. A 3-3 division record. 5-5 against the rest of the NFL. So basically, they will be as average as it gets with an 8-8 record.
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP CAROLINA PANTHERS Christian McCaffrey (1.02) DJ Moore (5.12) Curtis Samuel (7.05) Cam Newton (8.07) Greg Olsen (13.09)
Okay, the secrets out. Christian McCaffrey is my favorite player in the world. I said I think Alvin Kamara might be the top fantasy player this year, but that would not differ me from taking CMC ahead of him in every single drafts. I am taking CMC #1 overall every draft without hesitation. I guaranteed 1,000/1,000 for him this season. I am a firm believer in CMC and you should too!
DJ Moore is going as the final pick in the 5th round. A lot of people are reaching way too high for this guy. Yes, he has a bad mofo attitude to him like Steve Smith Jr and yes he showed flashes of awesomeness BUT his QB is Cam Newton and that does not make me believe in a huge breakthrough for him. Especially as a 5th round pick.
Curtis Samuel is getting all the hype from the people at camp, but is being disrespected by the fantasy football community. He is going two rounds after DJ Moore and has the potential to outperform him on the field and in the fantasy football side. I'm passing on him majority of the time because he's going ahead of guys like Dede Westbrook and Larry Fitzgerald right now. Both guys I would rather have.
Cam Newton is a fantasy football legend. We know this. I can honestly say he has never been my starting QB in fantasy football. Which means I missed out on his greatness. I'm going to be passing on him again, but there is always that real potential that he goes back to being Superman and in the 8th round he is a huge steal. This is his latest ADP ever! Wild. You either believe in him or not. I don't think it's a bad gamble, to be honest.
Greg Olsen is a dinosaur. Count me out. That's all there is to it. I am not rostering him anywhere.
MY FAVORITE FANTASY DRAFT PICK ON THIS TEAM: Christian McCaffrey (1.02)

Then he’ll notice me! But what you think of the NFC South right now @admin? A lot of teams seem to be the same coming into this season. Besides coaching changes in TB and ATL and Ingram leaving, it’s basically the same division as last year.

I'd be a little bit more positive about Atlanta than you - just feels like they're set for a bounce back year after underachieving last season. Dan Quinn calling the defence is an acknowledgement that he's on the hot seat, and with Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen back they should be significantly better. I like them because they have the most reliable quarterback. Brees ended last season with a few worrying games, and it feels like we're at a dramatic tipping point in Cam Newton's career. It's one thing for Carolina to say that they're going to shift the offence onto McCaffrey's shoulders so Cam doesn't have to be Superman all the time - but another to actually see it be a success in practice, and they were awful after Cam hurt his shoulder.

They certainly have the fire power on offense to do it. It all depends on their health though. If Freeman is fully healthy and they aren’t decimated by injuries on defense again, they could definitely improve. I can see them actually winning the winnable games against Tennessee and San Francisco instead of losing them as I projected. They are definitely capable of an 11-5 season, but at the same time, I just think New Orleans is built so much better right now to hold that division.
I don’t think a 9-7 finish is that off for them.

THE ROAD TO SUPER BOWL LIV MIAMI, FLORIDA
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS TIME TO WALK THE PLANK, MR. WINSTON
He is the former #1 overall pick in the draft. He is the youngest Heisman trophy winner ever as a redshirt freshman. He is a BCS National Championship winner. Yet, those are no longer the things that he is remembered for. He is the crab stealing, dub eating, Uber molester. Allegedly.
Much like fellow draft class QB, Marcus Marriota, Jameis Winston is coming into a contract year. He will either sink or swim. After a tumultuous season of being benched, starting, being benched again and starting again, Jameis Winston is coming into 2019 with all eyes on him. It is up to him now. Will he sink or swim?
The Buccaneers remain in the toughest division in the NFL, in my opinion. They got rid of HC Dirk Koetter, who is back as OC for the division rival Falcons. They have brought in Bruce Arians. A man with so much swag, it couldn't fit in a bag~! A man who, DYK, was the first white student to share a dorm with a black person in Virginia Tech history. Do you know who he shared the dorm with? A man named James Barber who happens to be the father of Tiki Barber and former Buccaneer great, Ronde Barber. Circle of life!
The hype is real for this Buccaneers offense. I know we spoke about this earlier in the thread and many people doubt that this offense can be as explosive as its potential due to Jameis Winston. Some even think that Bruce Arians is overrated. But in a season where Winston's future is on the line, this team has to perform. Everyone is waiting for the wakening of the monster OJ Howard who has had injuries slow down his potential. Mike Evans is set for a big year. Chris Godwin is everyones favorite to have the biggest breakout year. Bruce Arians has talked up Chris Godwin so much and even went out of the way to say that he never wants Chris Godwin off of the field. 100% of snaps?! That's ridiculous~! But in the words of Bruce Arians, "No risk it, no biscuit". And this team is set to eat.
Except there's that running game. Peyton Barber might be more blah then Lamar Miller and he is the starter. The fact that the Buccaneers didn't even go for Melvin Gordon still boggles my mind. Peyton Barber can not be the answer. It's looking more and more likely that Ronald Jones is not the answer either after an abysmal rookie year. Abysmal is an understatement. Kerwynn Williams? Who? Exactly. This team must have the worst running game in the NFL, which means Jameis Winston has nobody to blame or thank for his future. The whole franchise is completely on his shoulders now. There's no bearded God in Ryan Fitzpatrick breathing down his neck. It's all on him.
In the off season, they made some moves to change the look of their team. Big departures from their offense are Adam Humphries and Desean Jackson, which only opens up the possibilities for Mike Evans and Chris Godwin to explode this year. They also got rid of an angry and scorn Gerald McCoy and replaced him AND his jersey # with Ndamakong Suh. King Kong Suh has been passed around from team to team, but I don't think he's the best signing for this defense this offseason. They also brought in Shaquil Barrett, who is finally out of the shadows of Von Miller and Bradley Chubb. But is that the biggest addition to the defense or is it their 1st round draft pick of Devin White who very well might win Defensive Rookie of the Year this year. Watch out for him. He is the future of this Buccaneers defense.
Also as I spoke about when talking about the Oakland Raiders earlier, the Buccaneers had their schedule so messed up also that the NFL issued a huge apology. The Buccaneers will be spending SIX STRAIGHT weeks away from home due to this scheduling screw up. Stupid!
So looking at the all around team, I would not be surprised one bit if this is the team to go from worst to first. It is super hard to do it in this division, but anything is possible. If everything clicks for this team, they can very well do it. I was really high on them a month ago, but got talked out of it by UT and Co in this thread. I am going to be pissed when these projections are opposite for the Buccaneers, but let's see how it plays out right now.
BOLD is for wins. ITALIC is for losses.
49ERS PANTHERS GIANTS RAMS SAINTS PANTHERS TITANS SEAHAWKS CARDINALS SAINTS FALCONS JAGUARS COLTS LIONS TEXANS FALCONS
PREDICTION: 6-10 RECORD
And just like last year, the Buccaneers finish at the bottom of the division. A 6-10 record is all that is needed to say goodbye to Jameis Winston. After a promising 3-0 start, the Buccaneers fall apart losing 5 games in a row. They are unable to bounce back to a winning record with that 3-5 start and Jameis Winston goes on to lose his final 2 starts as the starting QB for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As my projections show, the Buccaneers struggle the most against their division. Going an ugly 1-5 as they are swept by both the Saints and Falcons. They beat the bad teams, but fail against the better teams.
My expectations are that this team wins the division. I really believe they can and will BUT as I stated earlier, you mofos talked me out of it. In that perfect world where Jameis Winston gets past all his mental enablers and is a great starting QB, I can see Mike Evans having a career year. Chris Godwin truly breaking out. OJ Howard staying healthy and Jameis Winston earning himself a contract extension by putting up his best season performance. They win more then 1 game against their division rivals and pull off wins against the Titans and Texans.
A 10-6 record is very possible, in my opinion, but I'm going to be smart about this. Yes, even though it is possible for them to finish 10-6, I still feel that 10 wins is there absolute ceiling. Jameis Winston has been a joke throughout his career. Eating dubs, stealing crab legs and then that whole Uber incident. This is his make or break year and even though Marriota is going through the same thing in Tennessee, Jameis Winston seems to have more on the line. He had an illustrious college career, but has made some extremely poor decisions. ON and OFF the field. From turnovers to troubles, Jameis Winston is facing himself in the mirror this year. I am very intrigued to see what kind of a man he is.
It's now or never for Jameis Winston.
There is that chance that Jameis Winston puts together the greatest redemption story of all time. With the guidance of Bruce Arians, Jameis Winston leads this Buccaneers team on a short trip to Miami and walks out a Super Bowl champion!
FANTASY FOOTBALL: 12PPR ADP TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS Mike Evans (2.08) Chris Godwin (4.07) OJ Howard (5.07) Ronald Jones (9.12) Jameis Winston (10.04)
Mike Evans is still the top fantasy guy on this team. He continues to put up solid numbers, but never gets the praise from the fantasy community. His affiliation with Jameis Winston scares people off heavily and people would rather take a guy like Keenan Allen or TY Hilton in the same area because of their QB situation. I don't mind taking Mike Evans. If you're taking him in the back of the 2nd round, you're most likely pairing him with a David Johnson or as your WR2 with Deandre Hopkins. Either way, Mike Evans makes a great WR1 and an excellent WR2. I like his ADP and thinks he's going at a perfect spot for what he contributes especially considering I am expecting a career year from him.
Chris Godwin is the talk of town. The fantasy community wants him. This is the guy! He is the definitive breakout candidate of this season! And if you believe in him putting up bigger numbers as the no doubt WR2 on this team, then you grab him in the 4th round! He is going ahead of Kenny Golloday, Tyler Lockett, Cooper Kupp and Calvin Ridley. So the question is, which 1 of those 5 do you like most if you're taking a WR in the 4th round? The choice is yours. To be honest, I used to be really high on Godwin but have been getting more and more nervous about making him my WR1 in the 4th round after going RB heavy.
OJ Howard is a freak of nature. Many are expecting him to be in the top 3 of fantasy TEs this year. I don't know about all that. He has an injury history that's frightening, he still has Brate and he still has Winston who has all these weapons to throw to. If I'm taking a TE in that area, I'm snatching Evan Engram because I feel he has more potential for garbage points.
Do you see this? Ronald Jones is going as the last pick in the 9th round. That's not the big 'wow'. The crazy thing is that Ronald Jones is going in the first 5 of the Buccaneers and Peyton Barber (THE STARTER~!) is not! I find that insane. I am not buying into Ronald Jones. He hasn't impressed in the off season. I hope some clown in my league wastes a pick here on RJ. I will gladly take Devin Singletary, Adrian Peterson and Peyton Barber who are all going after him. He is not going to be a winning lottery ticket. He is trash.
Jameis Winston in the 10th round is fucking juicy. I like to wait for my QBs unless someone that's awesome falls to me a round later then their ADP. Jameis Winston in the 10th round is a huge win for me. If he doesn't work out, there will be good enough options in free agency to fill in. If Jameis Winston hits, he is a fantasy football goldmine! Yes, he may throw 3-4 interceptions, but he'll do that with 400 passing yards, 2-3 TDs and 40-50 rushing yards. Sign me up for this fantasy football monster at this ADP.
MY FAVORITE FANTASY DRAFT PICK ON THIS TEAM: Jameis Winston (10.04)

2019 PREDICTION
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS- 13-3 ATLANTA FALCONS- 9-7 CAROLINA PANTHERS- 8-8 TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS- 6-10
The New Orleans Saints remain the cream of the crop in the South, as they try to right those unlucky demons. The Falcons put on a winning record, but are living off a prayer for a Wildcard spot. The Carolina Panthers show improvement, but are left with more questions then answers heading into the off season. The Buccaneers falter with Arians first season at the helm and Tampa Bay says goodbye to Jameis Winston.

BREAKING NEWS
Cam Newton exited the preseason game against the Patriots last night with a foot injury. He took two sacks in the three series that he played in and on the final one, he got caught scrambling in the pocket. He held the ball too long and got taken down. After recovering from a second shoulder surgery in three years, this is another setback for him and his career at the age of 30.
For a mobile QB, this is not good. We will be getting an update on this injury either today or over the weekend. Hopefully it is nothing bad, but it is something I foreshadowed when I just spoke about the Panthers. They may have to go to their rookie, Will Grier, for at least the start of the season. The Panthers did the right thing by drafting a QB and hopefully it pays off. Either Grier steps in and is a stud at the 100th pick or the wolves get him and he gets annihilated. Hard to predict.
We'll pretend he misses a minimum of 4 games, even though that could be pushing it. He's missing games against the Rams, Buccaneers, Cardinals and Texans. This could very well be an 0-4 start for this team.
As for fantasy football; this has to drastically decline the value in drafting DJ Moore or Curtis Samuel. This could even hurt my man crush Christian McCaffrey. Sure the dump off passes could still be there, but if they fail to move the ball down field, a TD regression could very well be in the horizon for the offensive players.
As for season projections, this would drastically drop this team from my projected 8-8 record to a 4-12 or 5-11 season.
Of course, this could be nothing but a slight sprain. Last time he got injured in the pre-season (coincidentally against the Patriots too), he missed the opening game. If he only misses the opening game, it shouldn't be too much of a big deal since I doubt anyone can really see the Panthers beating the Rams anyways. They would definitely need him for that opening division matchup with the Buccaneers, though. Let's hope for the sake of quality football, this injury is not severe and he doesn't have to miss much time. Hard to be optimistic as he was extremely upset on the sideline after the play.

Well since Andrew Luck retired; I have to make some drastic changes to records. Them winning the Super Bowl is NOT my prediction anymore. Heck, I don't even know if they make the playoffs anymore. Basically, because of that and the amount of work it would take to adjust everyones records, I am going to end this. It's a shame too since I was having so much fun with this and only had two more divisions to go. My new prediction for the Super Bowl is: Philadelphia Eagles def. Kansas City Chiefs in the Andy Reid Bowl.Sorry mikec, but Andy Reid just can't get it done on the big stage and Carson Wentz gets his starting QB ring.

Who is the first bad backup QB that gets signed and doesn’t hear the “What?!? They didn’t hire Kaepernick?!? League is racist!” response?
Like everyone pretty well knows the league is colluding to keep Kaepernick out. We don’t need to hear that Brandon Weeden getting a job before Colin is proof.
