Shit, my bad I'll quit live tweeting cliff notes Miller's Crossing.
EDIT: EXPLOSION!!
EDIT: This movie has similar tonal issues as Gotti Worst comedy ever Wannabe Sting Wannabe Godfather
Who's running things now? And here's the high hat bullshit again Kicking the mayor out of his own office Hell is going on here?
EDIT: Why don't they all just kill each other? Can't trust anybody. Anyone can do anything It's been Dane all along. I had a guess Fanny wart terrible comedy Repeat linea until they become catchphrases
EDIT: Who's double crossing who? Who's got power over who? Sopranos was easier to follow I feel the munchies coming on
EDIT: Thought it was an Australian for a second It's Bern on the phone, and Tom is turning the tables Who will call whose bluff? Who's this?
EDIT: Body blows

Oh thank Jesus only 20 minutes left! EDIT: Who's this? Dane. And he's pissed and missing his Mink/Mank. I'm worried we're not gonna get the bad ass showdown of Leo vs. Dane now Little Danny Devito with the shovel. And why's the fat guy screaming? What the fuck is happening? Bad comedy, weird tone... Wannabe Matilda vibe. Now we're in a diner, like that Susan Vega song. Now we're not. Now some obtuse dialog in the rain. EDIT: Wait, is Gabriel Byrne Australian? Is Tom still loyal to Leo? Despite Verna? Despite Bern? Who's playing who. EXIT: How's this gonna end? Is that the guy who voiced Frozen? Ivan or something? Tim Roth + Liam Neeson + Willem Dafoe + Australian mate, like Emperor... Wants to end this movie like Godfather meets Taxi Driver meets The Apartment. EDIT: Bern killed Casper. Because of Tom. It's all a setup. Anyone can do anything. Why does any of it matter? I still think Tom will end up king though. King of nothing. Tom got no problem bumping Bern now. It's gotta be you. There's no more angle. Just shoot him like that. It don't make sense. What heart? Bump. EDIT: Yip. King of Nothing. Never mind, just keeps going. Oh, back to Leo. Nope. Psych. Maybe now Mumble funeral, c'mon. There's Leo. And Verna. Getting married. She asked him. Tom working for Leo this whole time. And also playing him. Only for Verna. Just get back together, you two. Tom and Leo. Hanks and DiCaprio. Catch me if you can. What a just there movie. Good, bad, and everything in between. Interesting. Very Coen. So Coen. Glad it's finally over.

Miller's Crossing was my number 5. Like Road To Perdition a decade later this early mob movie is on my shortlist of most underrated. Great script and costumes and the Coens get the most out of the cast.

In the end, this is my final stance on Miller's Crossing, super highness regardless:
Not enough tommy gun action.
Better then Snowpiercer but no Warrior.
Space thumbs done.

I watched Raising Arizona for this countdown and it ended up #6 on my list. It took awhile to get into and capture the tone but once I did , I really fucking enjoyed it. Hilarious dark comedy with great performances all around. It shows that even early on the Coen's main strength was going to be getting the most out of their entire cast and especially the supporting players and this is no different. Every character that pops up in the movie belongs and adds to it and enriches the story and comedy. Awesome fucking stuff.
Also Holly Hunter is one of the most underrated actresses of all time. She's always amazing.

I honestly couldn't remember if I liked Raising Arizona or didn't, but certainly didn't love it and didn't remember enough to rank it. Think it probably came in near #11 or #12 for me.

I had Miller's Crossing at #6 and Raising Arizona at #7.
Miller's Crossing is a fantastic Prohibition Era gangster movie, which IMO is an era that doesn't covered enough nowadays. The Coens have always had a good touch for retro era films and this is no exception.
Raising Arizona is just wonderfully hilarious. Also one of Nick Cage's first really good roles.

I really like Raizing Arizona but it just missed my list. Kill Bill has good moments but, in a recurring theme to my thoughts on QT, is far too long and overindulgent.

I didn't submit a list because I'm a dumb soyboy, but KB probably would only make mine for the numbers. It was my first QT movie, but never one I care to rewatch.

I put off watching Raising Arizona for years. It just sounded like a really difficult watch, a comedy about a hillbilly who abducts a child and antics ensue, I just didn't think there was any enjoyment to get out of it. So much so, it completely ruined my plans of doing a Coen Brothers filmography run through way back in 2011. Basically I got as far as Blood Simple, got the Four Seasons stuck in my head, and that was that. Anyways, a few years back I found myself wracked over guilt for my decision to abandon the project, went back and sat through Raising Arizona and was pleasantly surprised. It's a surprisingly charming movie, largely because Holly Hunter's character is a good moral centre and Nicholas Cage does a wonderful job of trying to find the kindness of a guy who is just extremely good at committing crimes. I love the chase sequence where Cage has to steal diapers at the store and how it rides the line of being comedic, but also pretty exhillerating. What was the deal with the bounty hunter in this movie? I just remember it being implied that it was a manifestation of Cage's delinquency or something to that effect? Or was he just some guy who happened to be a victim of child abduction hence the pacifier? It's been years, but I remember that sub-plot being the weird Coen Bros. style twist we've come to love and expect. Tarantino had always rode the line, but Kill Bill was the first time where he just completely indulged and told a fairly simple story. What I enjoyed about Tarantino's previous works is how complicated a lot of characters were and while Bill has those moments (the opening scene of the Bride killing a mother, the ending with Bill actually being a good father) it's a lot more black and white than his previous efforts and a bit more straight forward as a result. Still, I like that Tarantino probably watched all these revenge movies in the 70s, acquired enough clout and decided he wanted to add to the genre and do it in a way that felt right. The fusion between western and eastern cinema is fun, and the movie is filled with a ton of references. That Ironside Siren effect is a pretty popular meme and it was only recently I remembered it gained notoriety from Kill Bill.
Kill Bill just missed out. I enjoyed it and would have it right up there for 2003 films, but I just prefer other Tarantino flicks. Raising Arizona I threw in towards the bottom of my list. A pleasant surprise that I wouldn't mind watching again.

Kill Bill Volume 1 is my favorite start to finish Tarantino film. It ends with such an incredible cliffhanger too.
Of all the films of either director, only my top two were movies I stop and watch whenever I see them on.

Kill Bill Vol 1 was awesome and made #4 on my list. Until Alita Battle Angel came out, it was closest film we ever got to being a live action anime that was actually good.
